IPhone Earphone Speaker volume suddenly got very low

Hi,
A week ago my iPhone Earphone Speaker volume get very low.I have installed to 3.0 and nothing help me out.
I think this is a hardware problem and getting to replace a Earphone Speaker.
Does anyone knows is this software or a hardware problem?
Its works fine over BT or earpiece.
I can only hear at very low volume.
Thanks,
Ivan

i just did this with my moms original iPhone. before the update the volume was fine, after it got noticeablly low. i could bearly hear anything. used the sim card eject tool that came with my 3GS and poked at the speaker very lightly and noticed it got higher. i dont get how its related to the 3.0 software update but that fixed the problem for some strange reason?

  • IPhone 3G speaker volume extremely LOW

Hi my GF's iPhone 3G OS2.2, the volume is sooo low she has to put the phone to speaker to hear anyone, this is not practical and very inconvenient.
Should she take the phone back to the store?

I have had similar problems with Speaker volume since installing I-dicto (voice recorder) and Lonely planet Spanish translator. Both should play through the external speakers at reasonable volume and neither would. I corrected the problem by adjusting the VOLUME LIMIT under settings/i pod. IT was maxed so I turned it down and then back up. I also changed the EQ to small speakers. Honestly I'm not sure which one fixed the problem but both programs have decent volume now. I later changed the EQ to some other settings just to check and they all seemed to work fine. It's as if something was stuck and messing with these settings dislodged it. Overall I find the i phone speaker volume disappointing but what can you do?

  • Iphone 5 not making sounds - or very low volume

I had an iphone 4 for over 3 years and it was perfect.  I upgraded to an iphone 5 and now constant issues with the volume of tones for text, phone and even sending tone.  It just randomly mutes completely or goes to a volume that you can barely hear.  All volume controls are at high, the do not disturb is turned off, the mute button is not on.  The only thing that fixes this is to power off the phone and turn back on.  This is highly aggravating as first I have to miss calls and text to realize the volume isnt working again and then power it down again.  This is occuring daily.  If I do use the mute button at all as soon as I turn it from mute to on I have to power it down as the tones dont work.  Why is this happening?

  • Speaker volume suddenly low, what can I do?

    Hi,
So low that I can barely use Skype, or itunes. Start up chime is same volume as before.
Checked Skype and Sound Preferences, is there something else I can do?
    Thanks

Thanks! I will have to try that. I am travelling right now and it will be awhile before I can do that, but playing with System Preferences doesn't solve it, they show max sound and internal speakers. Fortunately I still have AppleCare!

  • Volume of speakers very low

The speakers on my laptop are extremely low despite setting all of the volume to maximum volume.
Looking at othe posts on this topic, there is a recommendation to go to the "Enhancements" tab within the sound settings but I do not have that tab available.
This is very frustrating as I am unable to use my laptop for Lync conference calls which is essential for my job.
PS: I have also set the volume setting for Lync to 100% and that hasn't made any difference.

  • IPhone Ear Speaker Volume

I am having a tough time figuring out how to increase the volume of ear speaker phone for calls - I can hardly hear the person on the other line. I tried the volume switch on the side and it does not seem to do anything.

if this is a brand new phone, it came with the screen surrounded by a plastic cover, this is intented for shipping only as it blocks the earpiece. I recomend buying a screen protector personally but the one that came with the iPhone is not meant to be used and makes it impossible to hear when using the phone. It was designed for shipping only and designed to be removed upon unboxing.
    hope this helps

  • Color has suddenly got very sluggish

Hello, i've just finished grading a project shot on RED camera in ProRes 422 HQ and even when I applied heavy grades to shots it still ran in real time, very smoothly.
Recently I've shot just a little project on a small AVCHD camera in ProRes 422 LT 1080i and sent to Color, it's very, very sluggish, bordering on un-usable!
I'm on an iMac with 2GB RAM and this has only happened since updating with the new Pro Apps update and 10.5.3 update. I'm working with the latest FCS3 and working out of a FiewWire 800 external hard drive.
Does any body have any help on why its suddenly gone sluggish? Has this been in discussion recently since the updates?
    Cheers

I'd expect that a very highly compressed LongGOP format like AVCHD cross-formatted may give you more grief than even a high resolution format like ProResHQ. LT is still regarded as an "off-line" codec that is going to require a very large amount of decompressing before its usable by an app like COLOR.
That's what I'd suspect at first, but this is a low-end format that I don't deal with very often, if at all.

  • Speaker Volume on 11" seems low

Even with the volume turned all the way up, the sound is not very loud on my 11" air. All of our other Macbooks, as well as an original 13" air have louder sound. Is this typical of the series or should I have it checked?

Also have a look at these links which shows you the size of the speaker in the new and old MacBook Air. The one in the old MacBook Air is larger so it's able to move more air hence it's louder then the new MacBook Air.

  • IPhone 4s speaker volume goes really loud after Siri or speaker phone?

Anyone else notice the speaker phone volume goes really loud on the 4s after using Siri, voice memo, or speaker phone in general? Even when the volume is set low (like one or two) any thoughts? Not for games, music, or movies though.

I apoligize, after I wrote this then it showed like four other threads about it. Sorry for the re-thread.

  • Volume to TV Very Low?

I have a current gen Mac Mini I'm using as a media center. I'm connecting it to a Viewsonic 720p LCD via VGA cable for the video, and PC-Sound In for the audio. However, I'm finding the volume, even when the Mac Mini is set to max, far too low to hear well.
As examples, with the TV volume set to 15, my cable box (connected via HDMI) is just fine and my PS3 (also via HDMI) is too loud (I need to turn the TV volume down to 10). By contrast, TV volume set to 30 can sometimes not be enough for the Mac Mini (of course it doesn't help that music and sound effects are always much louder than dialog! )
Has anyone had this problem and figured out a solution? Is there a hidden setting to go beyond the standard max volume out on the Mini? Would switching from single RCA PC-Audio out to a digital cable offer any improvement in volume?
(I have external speakers set up, but I'm trying to figure out why the Mini is literally half as loud as the cable, and a third as loud as the PS3).

I have a mini connected to a TV, sound is from the mini's headphone jack to twin RCA (left and right) audio in on the TV. Sound levels are broadly the same as other sources. Given the mini outputs sufficient voltage to drive headphones, it should provide more than adequate output for a line-level input such as the one I think you're describing on your TV.
There's no hidden additional volume control - the sounds preference pane is all you have.

  • My ipod got very low battery and now won't connect with itunes?

My ipod got an extremely low battery and now it won't connect to itunes or charge when connected with the usb. I had not trouble connecting before this

    Let it charge for awhile.
Does the iPod show that it is charging?
After charging for at least an hour try resetting the iPod.  Also see:

  • TimeCapsule suddenly got very slow.

Strangest thing recently started happening. I have had a 500gb TimeCapsule since december, and it has worked perfectly until this week. Normally I could read/write to the internal drive or externally attached drives at about 6-10MB/s and the internet was very fast. This last week or so I can only Read or write at about 800k/s - 1MB/s. I have tried connecting it via ethernet and wireless with the same results. I also reset it to factory settings and re-set it up with the same results. I am albe to connect to the internet at decent speeds, the same as it has always been. 25mbit down and 7mbit out, so that seems fine. The only other variable is that I upgraded to Snow Leopard last week. Is there some issue with the networking perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
    Ryan

The same thing happened to me! (I have two 500GB Time Capsules) One is set up as the main one and one as an extender. Suddenly the transfer rate died on the second one and the first one refused to grab the dhcp information from my router. I reset both of them several times and it would not even find the main timecapsule until I MANUALLY entered the address to connect to it. Additionally, prior to resetting it the green light showing that it was connected to the router didnt even come on. Snow Leopard 10.6.1 DEFINITELY did something. The transfer rate on the second one is still pretty much unusable and I just have not had the time to mess around with it... Prior to Snow Leopard everything worked fine. I need to test this on my mac mini Leopard. I'll let ya know if that does anything...

  • Late 2011 17' MBP suddenly got very loud and hot

    http://i.imgur.com/tZ1QZJM.png?1
Was using handbrake when suddenly the fans got loud and stayed like this for several minutes before I decided to cancel my DVD rip.
Looking at iStat the Fans were at 5,500 RPM & CPU at 185.
How bad was this? On occasion this happens but never for more than a few seconds.
    Any suggestions?
Also I just upgraded to Mountain Lion last week, if that matters.

    i'm afraid it didn't work....
it's like brightness control got stuck on lowest. If I shine a light on the sensor left of the iSight, the keyboard lights turns off, so the sensor works and shouldn't be the source of the problem.
