Iphone Email with GroupWise

My business uses Novell GroupWise email and I wanted to have my iphone set up with the email and it works up to the part of the out going server. Is there another way to use GroupWise with the email on an Iphone?

Yes, I have the same problem only with one sender. Not sure why it is happening, very fustrating, and sure would love to know the solution. I have been trying to resolve this for a few weeks now.
the sender told me they just switched providers to Time Warner Road Runner (carolina.rr.com)
Emails from this sender always come in to me as:
"This message can not be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program. message/rfc822

I currently have my Hotmail email account set up with my iPhone. I am able to send/receive messages just fine. I was wondering if there is a way to make it so that whenever I view/read a message on my iPhone, that it automatically marks it as "read" when I check my email from a computer, and vice versa? Currently, the mail that is marked as "read" on my iPhone, will still be "unread" or "new" if I check it from the computer, and vice versa on the phone. One option is to share your iCloud calendars if all your devices are connected to iCloud and you are syncing your calendars with iCloud (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2690). (You would need to be running OS X Lion on your iMac to sync with iCloud.)

Acrobat 9.0 email with Groupwise 6.5

I recently purchased Acrobat 9.0 and put it on my computer. I use Groupwise 6.5. When I open a .pdf either within Acrobat or through Acrobat and the browser and then try to send the .pdf as an email attachment Acrobat hangs and shuts down. It opens an email message but never makes the attachment and then shuts down. Any suggestions??? I would like to be able to send email attachments. The Error signature is below. I'm using Windows XP - 2SP. I've done a few searches and have read something about the MAPI but I know nothing about this.

I am on version 7.02 and it works just fine. My suggestion would be to perform a complete uninstall - reboot, and then reinstall again and see if that solves your problem.
If that doesn't work then I would upgrade to version 7, there are a lot of fixes.

Sync iPhone emails with Entourage local DB

Hi all,
My question is quite simple but I didn't find any answer yet...
Is there any tool (or iSync plug-in) that would copy all received emails from the iPhone into the Entourage local DB ?
It sounds a bit strange to me not to have the option to sync directly those messages (excepted using IMAP) when we can sync almost everything else !

If the email account is set up in Entourage you should be able to get copies of them there anyway. The usual problem is that your Mac picks up all the email and doesn't leave a copy on the server so you can't get a copy on the iPhone. All you do in that case is go into Entourage/Tools Menu/Accounts/<POP Account>/Options and under Server Options and tick 'Leave a copy ....' and 'Delete .... after' and set a number of days.

I have purchased a iPad and need to have my company iPhone transferring emails to my iPad so it is always updated. Tried to put in manual email account etc but not accepting it. Can I get instructions to successfully link my iPhone 4 and my new iPad. I have a new iCloud email and wondered whether iCloud would allow these to easily connect.

iCloud does nothing for non iCloud email accounts.
You just need to setup your company email account on both devices as IMAP or Exchange for them to be kept up to date on both devices.
If you don't know the correct settings to use from your iPhone, ask your IT department at work.

IPhone email language support

I had setup the iphone email with gmail, and other pop account. But I find out that they don't displace other language. I had received email from Hong Kong, they wrote it in chinese. iPhone email does not display it. If I use Safari to view the email, it display fine. Is there a fix out there?

I don't think there is any fix, so you may need to continue using Safari. I believe iPhone should display it correctly as long as the mail contains the proper required "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=" header. If you have a way of viewing this header via another means, it would be interesting to know what it says for the undisplayed email. It would make sense to report this to Apple

Unfortunately some mail systems do not create the required headers correctly, and this version of the iPhone lacks any way to fix that manually.

Thanks. I got the problem fixed. Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor. It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner. Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail. I checked all the specifics between the three units. It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com to TWC.com. Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

Doesn't the fact that I can surf the web with my iPhone's hot spot and that I cannot use Mail normally has I normally do give you a clue what the problem could be ?
What other information can I give you other than normally I can surf and send email with my regular ISP. Now that my ISP is dead I am using my iPhone's hotspot to surf the web awaiting that my ISP's connoection returns. Surfing is OK but I cannot send emails with through Mail.
When I want to send an email from my computer, I get a message asking me to select the the SMTP server. Then I select my usual ISP server, but the message comes back telling me it does not work.
Is there any other configuration to do ?

Issue seems to be only with main inbox, as sub folders are receiving mail. Other Apple device is not having issues like this, just on iPhone.

Your issue is with the Yahoo email account which is notoriously bad.
you can try deleting and reinstalling the email account.
If that doesn't fix it try the yahoo email app.

Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data? Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text. Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?

I have been using Word for my writing and I receive most of my emails with Word attachments. I have been using Apple products for years, always touting their reliability and customer service. I am not a techie, I just want to be able to do what I do on the computer and Apple always fulfilled my needs. Now I am told because of some operating system gobbledygook, I have to go out and purchase new software to use Word. This is despicable. I see no particular benefit to using Lion, but I do see a lot of detriments. Apple now seems to have turned into Microsoft, making software obsolete so they can make more money and to **** with the customer. You can be sure that my next computer will be a PC. I have completely lost confidence in Apple.

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.

Problems sending emails with iPhone 3G and outlook exchange

I have a problem sending email with exchange. Receiving and answering mail works fine and calender updates work fine. However when I initiate an email from the phone it syncs and ends up in the sent folder in the computer but never reaches the recipient. I have tried this many times with different recipients and phones. It only happens from my iphone and ipad. Any suggestions?

The iPhone you returned is still syncing against your server and locking out your account. Someone possibly has access to your mail data. I'd recommend having your Exchange Administrator install the Microsoft Exchange Server ActiveSync Web Administration Tool (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E6851D23-D145-4DBF-A2CC -E0B4C6301453&displaylang=en) and attempt to wipe/delete/block that other iPhone.

If the email address you want to use is being used as the primary email address on a different ID you have to manage that ID and change it to a different primary email address. This explains how: Change your Apple ID - Apple Support.
If it is being used as an alternate or rescue address on a different ID, you manage the ID and either remove it or change it to a different email address. This explains how: Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses - Apple Support.
