IPhone equivalent of Blackberry enterprise activation?

I have moved from blackberry to iphone. I was using Blackberry Enterprise Activation to sync all my emails etc. How do I set this up with iphone 4?

You can most certaily connect your E61-1 to a BES server as long as you use the Blackberry connect desktop application and PC suite together on the computer that has the MS-exchange e-mail accout setup on it in outlook. We have our onw Blackberry server and I have set it up on an E61 for a staff member with no problems at all using the software mentioned before.Message Edited by serenity on 06-Feb-2007

Are you  connected to a corporate enterprise BES account , If so Contact your BES admin. they will provide those password.

  • Blackberry Enterprise Activation for Nokia devices

    Hello,
My company's policy for the activation of BlackBerry devices is to go through wireless Enterprise Activation.
This option does not seem to be available in the BlackBerry setup screens of the Nokia E70.
    1. Does anyone know if Enterprise Activation is supposed to be available on Nokia devices?
    2. If not, what should be done by our IT administrator (on either BES or Exchange) to allow the activation via the BlackBerry Connect Desktop application to work?
    Regards,
    Yata

  • Blackberry Enterprise activation on personal phone

    Hi there,
I have a curve which I wiped. After rebooting I wanted to setup my email and I couldn't as my phone requested BES activation. As this is a private phone I do not have BES activation codes. How can I resolve this?
    With kind regards,
    Cindy

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service (you may need to use the methods that are NOT on the device)
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Blackberry Bold 9900 / Enterprise Activation

Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.
I have purchased the Blackberry bold 9900 smart phone couple of days ago.
Not an expert myself but expected better from our own IT Dept…seems that they need help themselves.
Not certain how to find enterprise activation icon on blackberry 9900 bold.  Usually this is what I do:
    Options>>device>>advanced System Setting>>Enterprise setting.
For some odd reason…enterprise setting is not there.  It is not also under set up…just the web based emails setting.
I have tried the wipe out but nothing changed.
Would be grateful if someone could be kind please to tell me what to do.
Thanks so much for your time.

You can dowload the Enterprise activation App from the below link, but make sure that the your number has the proper data plan, and the device registered  with your carrier.

    Hey Zee0101,
Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
BlackBerry® Enterprise service is for users that are activated on a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server (BES), this type of service is used often by employers, are you sure you are using BlackBerry® Enterprise service? If yes, you will need to contact your BlackBerry® Enterprise Server administrator or IT department for an activation password.
Consumer customers often use BlackBerry® Internet Service (BIS) to set up personal email such as Gmail®, GoDaddy.com® , Yahoo!® Mail etc. You can set up this service under the email setup option under personal email. If you do not have this option please contact your service provider to have the BlackBerry® Internet Service email option added to your account.
    I hope this helps.
    Thank you.

  • Help!! please email setup requesting enterprise activation after factory reset

after i did a factory reset i notice my email set up is requesting enterprise activation email and password i don't have either so now my email setup can't work unless i do it and my native browser won't connect and blackberry protect won't work. i registered the blackberry thru hosting and i got your blackberry is registered but i can't get the other apps to work since i need the enterprise activation.

i got the phone from ebay so i don't know if it's on BES and as far as a blackberry data plan i have verizon prepaid and i activated the phone thru them with no problem and i signed up for BIS with no issues but i don't remember the password to get the service books sent to my phone. the phone just stop working a couple of days ago i have had it since october with no issues until now. the first thing i notice was i stopped getting email and it said my service was blocked so i did a battery pull that didn't work. then i did a security swipe and now i can't access the email setup or the browser and it says that i don't have a data plan needed to use it which i don't get since i have had no problems since october. i was told on by someone that maybe i was over my data but i just looked and saw i wasn't and it rolled back since i paid on the 24. this is like the 3rd incident since switching from post paid to prepaid it is making me want to switch carriers

  • Cannot Enterprise Activation - Desktop manager 5.0.1

    Hi,
I want to perfomr wired enterprise activation of my BB device on lab setup,
    Things I do not have
I donot haveGSM/Edge  Blackberry plan and not register with any service provider
Since I'm testing BB in my test lab, my exchange is confined to test lab environment and do not have public dns entry like MX record and cannot route emails from internet
    Thing I have,
VMWare - Exchange Server 2003 Sp2 on IWndows Server 2003 R2 SP2 , Domain controller, BES Express 5.0.2 ( 2 free license), XP client with Desktop manager 5.0.1
    One BB device for testing.
Internet connection to BES Infrastructure ( resolve - ca.srp.blackberry.com - PASSED)
    Question,
    1. With the above setup can I perform the wired  Enterprise activation(EA) using Desktop manager 5.0.1?
I'm unable to perform EA using desktop manager 5.0.1
    Appreciate your response,

    HI Jamead1981,
Please refer teh link - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB21124
This link says you can either directly attach the BB device to BES and perform the enterprise activation. Hence BB plan would be necessary if wireless activation is performed. For wired , you can attach the device to BES server and perform activation.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.
    Good luck!

  • Enterprise activation 8900

I am having trouble activating my (new) Curve 8900 to sync wirelessly with Outlook.
We have a Blackberry Enterprise Server and I have been issued with the password (a new one).
I entered my email address and the password, but it give an error message that says 'contact your administrator' which is not exactly intuitive. I also tried it by adding the server details but had the same problem.
The first time I synched via my laptop and that worked, so when I removed the cable and experienced the above, I though I did something wrong during the setup so I wiped the blackberry and tried again. Same problem as above and I have not connected it to the laptop yet.
I checked with our company who confirmed that my SIM is activated for data. The collection starts when I put it in an old Blackberry device.
Any advice will be really welcomed.
    Thanks
    Jacques
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

DO you know if you have a regular BlackBerry data plan, or the BES plan? If you have the regular data plan then the enterprise activation won't work. You could also have your IT department issue you a new password. Unless yur company is setup differently, the password usually expire after one use

Basically, you have to have the right Data Plan from your carrier in order for Personal mail (POP3 etc.) to be available.
