IPhone feature requests

I got my iPhone on 6/29 had time to really examine it. Below is a list of the iPhone features that I, as a power CINGULAR-8525 user, think should be included in iPhone upgrades. Most other phones on the market include these features. I was sooooo disappointed, but I guess the phone software development was somehow rushed, but here goes:
1. CONTACTS: We should be able to add or edit contacts, while talking on the phone! It has only "browse" capabilities! Also, I cannot Email, Beam or Send CONTACTS via Bluetooth/Infrared to another phone.
2. SOUNDS: Everyone is complaining for the ability to add songs from ipod as ringtones etc. But how about the sounds for Notifications? Its barely audible! No capability to adjust the volume for notifications. i lot more can be developed in the "Sounds" department.
3. CABLES: They are too short! If the phone is charging, you have to sit close to the outlet to use the phone! Cant stay in a corner all day! It wont even reach my desk at work! Hate leaving such a beautiful device on the floor!
4. MEMO RECORDER (NOTES): Why wasnt that thought of? All other Cell phones and PC phones have that feature! Ability to record and use/edit as greeting, ringtone, notification, and also to email clips! Come on!!?
5. CAMERA: aaaahhh shucks! No flash, but also cannot zoom or adjust (its a beautiful pic) but jeez! No advance features there! Could be better! (See the 8525). Have you tried to take a self portrait? Its very awkward because of the button position! Dont know how to solve that.
6. PHOTOS: Drats! no options there either! Cant rotate, resize or adjust lighting, set default Album Pic. Could be better! Its no more than a Disposable camera! Unbelievable!!
7. SMS/TEXT MESSAGES: Beautiful, but The worst on any phone!!! Cant edit? Copy/Paste? I hate retyping the same message from the history or previous string, to send to same recipient or another recipient? No options in "Settings" to adjust SMS/TEXT MESSAGES. Also, cant check for new TEXT MSGS on the server.
8. EMAIL: (same deficiencies as #7) Cant edit emails! Thats a lot of "backspacing" to delete text!!! Need more editing features (highlight, copy, paste, delete etc).
9. SAFARI: Excellent!! Better than getting Mobile versions of webpages, got bookmarks, but where is the default HOMEPAGE setting? HELLO!!?? Hate always going to the last page I visited. Who would develop a web browser without a "Homepage" setting???
10. SEALED BATTERY: That totally ***! You guys know the battery life is short, and not exactly as the specifications say (5hrs? NOT!) Actual talk time is about 3 hours!!! How can I replace the battery as needed? Send phone in for "service" and lose all my settings and information each time! How many advanced college degrees it took to think up this idea!?
EVERY PART OF THE PHONE IS LACKING SOMETHING!!!
LASTLY, I really like the iPhone, but I sometimes have flashbacks and reminisce for my 8525. I REALLY thought the iPhone would have superceded that technology! But all I get is embarrasing comments from my friends:
"Here comes the fancy iPhone guy with his crappy features"
My cheesy reply: "Its just an iPod, with a phone"
They say: "for $600.00 !?"
PLEASE GET THE UPGRADES TO iTUNES, so we can download ASAP!
Sincerely,
(MORON with a $600 iPod)

Contrary to OS2Guy, I don't think many of us see this
as whining. This is an excellent effort and a
comprehensive wishlist which pretty much represents
the public opinion to date based on these posts. If
more people would search the forum rather than
posting the same questions over and over, they'd find
this list and realize that these things are in fact
missing from the iPhone and move on.
After spending considerable time with the phone, I
don't ever see this model being a road warrior,
forthcoming updates or not. Safari is, on or off the
phone, an unrobust product and has been for years.
Most Mac users will admit they use Firefox and/or
Opera instead. Mail too has been seriously lacking
for years comparatively speaking. Not much has ever
been done about it despite complaints. Don't look
for much to improve here. The Mail client alone will
prevent this phone from every becoming a leader in
the industry. And it was never meant to be. It is
an expensive, beautifully designed toy with some
fun, novel, and entertaining features.
I agree that you should submit this to Apple and blog
it as well to slow down some of the redundant
complaints and questions in these discussions.
"it's an expensive, beautifully designed toy with some fun, novel, and entertaining features" is an understatement. this is evolution, regardless of what it lacks. and the next time you come onto these forums to insult apple's software, think again please. just because you use firefox or opera doesn't mean that safari is an unrobust product, it means that you didn't do research before posting. and by the way, this isn't the place to post your suggestions about the iPhone.

  • Lost & Found iPhone with Find My iPhone - Feature Request

Yes I found the lost phone and I'm very very grateful for the existing feature which works flawlessly once you get a hold of it but from a real life use case, there are things that can be improved that will make it more efficient and effective. This is a summary of feature requests that I figure from the real-life use case of Find My iPhone.
Earlier this week my friend dropped his iPhone on a cab and realize at the end of the day (he initially thought he left it at home) that it must have fell off his pocket in the cab where he can hardly remember the color of the cab let alone the license plate. Having said that I asked him if he had iCloud turned on (basically Find My iPhone in recent iOS) and so we checked. So here is where all the difficulties begin and please keep in mind that in a situation like this we're always in a hurry if not panicking.....
    1. You typically have more than 1 mobile phones:
a.) Where its most likely different brand, model, or OS (you don't buy two identical phones) so in this case he has a Samsung Android where iCloud page can not be rendered - it throws an error. So this didn't work
b.) You need to borrow your friend's "iPhone" to find it and not many people find it obvious that you need to download the Find my iPhone app in addition to just activating iCloud to track a phone. Thats another long step considering in some countries u have a really crappy 3G or sometimes on Edge
c.) If you are lucky your friend have an iPhone or an iPad, you go to www.icloud.com it doesn't do anything except tell you "how to turn on icloud", download Find my Friends, and Find my iPhone.....you need a laptop browser to be able to use the tracking feature....why????? I understand that it won't work with other brands of mobile phones but these are both Apple's!!!
    2. When you realize that you have lost your phone, you don't always have your laptop or an iPad - but you always have mobile phones let it be your secondary one or your friend's. Moreover, your laptop rarely have cellular connection so even if you have it, aside from the fact that it takes you 15 minutes to boot up your laptop, you also have to find yet ANOTHER phone to tether or find a 3G card to plug in to it so it can use cellular as oppose to just wifi, and then walk around with a laptop looking for the lost phone. And laptop don't have GPS, you don't know where you are relative to your lost phone.
    3. You are trying to look for your iPhone from another iPhone (the most convenient way) but you only see ONE dot that shows your lost iPhone but not "you" who are walking around looking for it so you have to:
1.) Open the Find My Iphone app and then see where your phone is located
2.) Open up Google Map (sad but true, Google map is currently the preferable map) to find where you are. Why Google map? In a less developed country, google maps works a lot better in detail.
3.) Try to find where you are relative to where the lost phone is across 2 maps and 2 different apps. But even if it was Apple map, its still 2 different apps switching back and forth.
Yes, the idealistic case which would disregard all this is that you have 2 Apple devices logged on to the same iCloud account then you can see 2 dots but not everyone have enough of that to make it useful :-)
    4. You use to have a send message button, lock the phone, make noise, and erase the phone. Now you need to first lock the phone before you can send a message. Understand that you should always lock the phone first but when you're panicking, making the feature obvious would help
    5. Would be nice to know the "percentage" of the battery and being able to shut down all the apps, dim the screen, and etc. to maximize the battery time before the phone goes dead might be helpful.
It was almost a miracle to get the phone back in a place like this where people tend to immediately shut down your phone and throw away the sim card once they get a hold of it. My friend was very lucky that the phone was in silent and fell into the crack of the backseat and the cab was parked outside the garage so the GPS location was absolutely precise.
Having mentioned that, iOS7 new security feature that requires your Apple login credentials to erase or turn off Find my iPhone. My question here being it says, find my iphone can continue to display message even after erased - if that is the case will I still be able to track it as well? What if I'm the person who erased it remotely, will I still be able to display message as well as track it?

This is a user to user community, Apple are unlikely to read your comments, if you have any suggestions that you think might enhance iCloud you can send Apple your feedback here.
We also can't speculate on what exactly iOS 7's new security features will actually do, all that's available is what has been said so far by Apple, anyone using a developer version is forbidden to discuss it anywhere but in the developers community.

  • IPhone feature request

FYI... I sent the below to Apple feed back, I know everyone has their own preferences so please send them feed back. We need to continually hit them with feed back so that they notice the consumers request and hopefully expedites some type of update/resolution, as they do not constantly monitor these forums. Again, these are my preferences feel free to give them feedback with yours.
    www.apple.com/feedback
    Apple,
I am very disappointed that basic features that are standard on most cell phones were not incorporated in the iPhone (and this is the latest technology).
Please, the phone is great, but for it to be truly effective, please forward the below suggestions to the appropriate team and provide us some feedback in regards to what and when we can expect changes. I would love to be included in any product or beta testing w/ this phone, how can I become more involved from a consumers perspective?
    1. Voicemail: It's nice to see the visual voice mail, but it would be great if we had an option to use our pass code to get into that screen. As it is right now, if I call my VM I get prompted for my pass code, but if I walk away from my phone for a second while in the office or if I let someone make a call, anyone can just go and listen to my visual voicemail.
    2. Text messages:
    A. Nice if the keyboard would rotate to the side when texting, with an option to have a more spaced out keyboard or standard keyboard choice while in the 180 view
    B. Ability to text multiple contacts
    C. Ability to send pictures via text messages
    D. Ability to FORWARD a text message. Should have the option to forward one message bubble or the whole conversation if we choose.
    E. The text message log is very nice, but we should have an option to delete a message bubble w/ out deleting the entire log, if this option was made available, we would also need to be able to lock a message bubble or an entire conversation
    F. Security code option to access text messages
    G. Ability to RESEND a text message. Should have the option to resend one message bubble or the whole conversation if we choose.
    H. Ability to Draft a text message
    I. Ability to email a text message conversation
    J. Copy and paste message bubbles
    G. The option not to have the text messages preview
    3. Recording Video: I have 8 gigs of space; it would be nice if the phone could support recording a video
    4. Recording Conversations: I have 8 gigs of space, it would be nice if I could record a phone conversation so that if I'm getting directions or other information I may be given over the phone (if I'm driving), I could record it and listen back later. Also w/ unlimited time to record based on your storage capacity
    5. Photos:
    A. The ability to create folders and move pictures accordingly
    B. The ability to rotate pictures
    C. The ability to text a picture (not just email)
    6. Security:
    A. When phone is locked, have the option not to see a preview of an incoming text message. Defeats the purpose of the phone being locked.
    B. the OPTION to be prompted for your pass code with in certain areas of the iPhone such as visual voicemail, SMS messages, Photos, contacts, etc. If I lend my phone to someone to make a call or let them check it out, I don't want them to be able to go anywhere on my phone unrestricted. I would be a nice option to have.
    7. Email:
    A. Save email attachments
    B. Copy and paste
    C. A personal email w/ ATT that is sent directly to our phone and does not require us to wait for emails to download such as w/ AOL or Yahoo.
    D. Ability to set a download time
    8. Internet
    A. Right click and download from the web. For example Audio or Video files
    B. The option for Flash or Java to run
    C. Copy and paste
    9. Volume
    A. Louder volume for ringer and alarms
    B. Louder volume for conversations and speaker
    10. Playing videos: It would be nice if other video formats could play on the iPhone
    11. Contacts:
    A. The ability to type a name to search for a contact
    12. Text Corrections:
    A. The option to turn off this feature, if I am sending a text message, I'll most likely be using short hand or abbreviations and do not need to be prompted every other word w/ a correction suggestion.
    13. Recent Calls:
    A. The ability to erase certain recent/missed calls with out having to delete the entire list
    14. YouTube:
    A. When I'm doing a search and get a list of videos and have to leave that area of the phone for what ever reason, when I come back the list is gone and I have to do the search all over. It would be nice if the search list stayed when navigating around the iPhone
    B. Allow us to save videos to the phone from YouTube

Please take your criticisms and suggestions to the new created iPhone feedback page.

  • IPhone new feature request

I don't know where to submit a new feature request, so posting it here. Please refer me to a more appropriate site, if available. Thanks in advance.
iPhone currently allows up to 16 application icons per home screen. With more and more useful apps installed, there are more screens than before and navigating to a particular app icon takes a bit of time. So, it'd be nice if there is an option that allows more than 16 icons per screen (dynamic resizing of icons or a similar feature is requested). That'll allow quicker access to apps and also makes it easy to re-arrange the icons as there'll be fewer screens needed.
    Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

This is indeed the wrong place.

  • Feature Request for iphone - how to improve your battery life

I have talked to few Apple support guys and I want to see if others have the same problem I have and support this feature request.
Your iPhone battery can get drained very fast if you are in an area where there is no AT&T Signal. This is not unusual as other phone have same problems. With my other phones such as my old Treo, I simply put it on Airplane mode.
But with the iPhone I can use WAP and I can get great WAP signals during the day.
The problem I noticed is that even if I have good WAP signal, if there is no AT&T signal it drains my battery, sometimes so bad that I could fully discharge in a day where as with same usage in other areas I would have only used about 30% or so...
So I would like to see Apple put in an option to be able to disable AT&T but keep the WAP service enabled, so this is just like Airplane mode with WAP still on.
I have tested by having my iphone running in WAP mode and when not in use I put it in Airplane mode, then try this again with exact usage another day but not put it in Airplane mode when not in use and I can see big difference.
The test was done in my building where there is NO AT&T signal.
Help me AAPL, I am a big investor and have all your products, bought my iPhone on 6/29 after waiting in line for 3.5 hours. You recently added disable Roaming option for Edge, that is a great option, now add this option so we can extend our battery usage!!!!!!
    Thanks!!!!!!

This is a user to user forum, so nobody from Apple is going to see this. You might want to resent it to Apple feedback instead: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Feature request: Print function in Web Inspector

Safari's web inspector rocks. It would be neat, though, if you could print the element you've selected. Sometimes I don't want to print an entire page, just a portion, and the Web Inspector seems like an appropriate way to specify which element to print.
Although, Safari on the iPhone has some way of guessing which element to zoom in on when the user taps a part of the web page. I suppose there are many ways to do this.

Nice idea, but this user-to-user forum is not the place for Safari feature requests. Try here instead:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
FYI, you can also do a selected area screen capture (command-shift-4 then click-drag-release) and print that from Preview.

  • Feature Requests beyond BlackBerry OS10.3.1

So, with 10.3.0 and 10.3.1 now officially released on the Passport and Classic, let's look forward!
What feature request(s) would you like to see included in future updates, say OS10.3.2 and beyond? Of course, there's nothing official to this thread, but one never knows who might view it and get an idea or two to move foward.
Please post your feature request below, and let's make sure BlackBerry has a good reference point for user-input on what we'd like to see.
Let's simple short statements AND please add the value of your request (i.e., why that feature request has value to you):
Ability to lock the volume keys (since they are so easliy pressed when retrieving from holster)
Implement a shutdown confirmation screen to the top edge power key before shutting down (many pocket carrying users complain of device shutdowns in their pocket).
Allow BlackBerry Protect to automatically backup and restore personal data, such as contacts (I trust BlackBerry to protect our data and other third party apps can do this already).
**This thread is not for bug reports (i.e., the calendar glitches when I set the date) or for debate or discussion of the worthiness of a feature request.
So, what would YOU like to see beyond 10.3.1?
    1. If any post helps you please click the below the post(s) that helped you.
    2. Please resolve your thread by marking the post "Solution?" which solved it for you!
    3. Install free BlackBerry Protect today for backups of contacts and data.

Cool! I was waiting for this, there are a few things I would like to see.
    OS
    - No frames option (for the people that want this), this means that you swipe up it will never go to a active frame
    - Keep swiping to close, when you keep swiping up it will close the app/frame (like on playbook I think it was)
    - Auto reboot, choose a day, time when your phone restarts (and unlocks after reboot) this is nice for people that want their phone to reboot when they sleep so they have a fresh start and don't have to reboot during work day
    - Alternative keyboard, everyone knows the BlackBerry keyboard is awesome.. but allow developers to create own keyboards (native, no android port)
    - Themes, One reason why people jailbreak iPhone or use Android or loved BBOS. Themes that will totally transform your phone, keyboard, colours will be nice for people that want to customize their device
    - Font type change, this was possible in BBOS. Some people like to have a different font.
    - Completely light OS, this is something personal; some people like dark theme, some people like light.. but with the latest BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 it is still mixed up, some parts are light some parts are dark. When selecting light theme everything should be light, all core apps, buttons, everything, when you select dark everything will be dark, and then there will be a customize option where you can set it for each app (core apps and layout) how you want it
    - Show date, time, signal always on top-option, Remember.. screenshots on internet are shown a lot, when posting a screenshot of a BlackBerry 10 app nobody knows its BlackBerry, with BBOS you always had time, signal, on top people knew it was a BlackBerry and would be nice to get this back, plus no need for swiping up to see the time
    E-mail
    - Able to create filters, example move e-mails from this person to this folder, and give them this colour or move everything with this word in header or subject and delete it forward it and more.
    - "Out of Office", able to set out of office for work emails / accounts as automatic reply
    Hub
    - More colours, now there are only a few
    Keyboard
    - Emoij button on the keyboard (including special characters)
    LED
    - More led colours and settings
    Cloud, Sync and backup
    - Create backup from your device instead of BlackBerry link and backup them to any cloud storage (or blackberry cloud)
    - Sync bookmarks and settings with your BlackBerry ID
    - Sync remember with your BlackBerry ID
    - Sync Wi-Fi networks and passwords with your BlackBerry ID
    - BlackBerry Cloud storage (5 or 10GB free and pay for more?)
    Blend
    - Webblend access your phone from a secure BlackBerry website so you don't have to install any program on a computer you maybe will only use for one day.
    BBM
    - Multiply login, access BBM on more devices (including a web version) at the same time
    - PIN transfer, take your BlackBerry PIN to your new device. I really liked my old BB pin but when I sold the device I lost it, it would be nice to be able to "keep" my BBM pin or get a personal pin
    - Add user my phone number if linked, BBM Pin is awesome but allow users to also add people with phone number so you can give your phone number or pin If my contacts get BBM but forget to give their pin they will just show because I have their phone number
    Device
    *nothing yet*

  • Feature request / Feedback

First off, WebOS is absolutely hands down the best mobile OS ever. I have an iPhone and an Android ICS tablet. But WebOS is still the best.
I love my Touchpad, and if Pre3s had more apps and weren't so expensive online I would totally buy one and replace my iPhone 4S.
Anyways, a couple feature requests for WebOS, and whoever else wants to add to this thread, I'm sure we can get some great ideas.
    So yeah, First off:
Calendar- It would be great to be able to set a default view. Personally I like Month, so the default is pretty annoying.
Calendar- For some reason the auto correct won't pop up the menu to add a word to the dictionary when making an event, a weird bug lol.
Browser- Have a way to detect Captcha so that the auto correct doesn't try to correct whatever the captcha wants you to type.
Browser- When watching flash videos full screen it locks to one orientation, so you end up flipping the tablet around sometimes, there's got to be a way to correct this.
General- I have a lot of stuff on my 32GB Touchpad, and the 90% warning gets quite annoying, especially since 2.5GB left is plenty for the OS and other stuff.
Auto correct/Dictionary- If there could be a way for the OS to detect words that are missing a space and just auto correct that rather than thinking of it as a wrong word that would be good too. I'm constantly missing the space bar and hitting the bezel of the screen for some reason, even with using the largest keyboard.
Keyboard- If there was a way to make the keyboard transparent with a variable level that would be badass.
Other than that, WebOS is pretty solid. And of course I'm running the latest 3.0.5, keep you the good work! And I can't wait for HP to start building hardware again, I'm sure it will be better the second time around even though its pretty awesome this time too.

  • Copy and paste feature request

    Please God... uh, Mr. Jobs,
When in text edit mode and while viewing web pages etc., please add a button with a clipboard icon that switches into a text select mode that allows you to drag over text to select as well as double and triple tap sentances and paragraphs. Then we'll be able to select either a copy, cut or paste button.
This phone is a great tool. However, without the ability to copy text from anywhere it is very limited as a creative writing, blogging and research tool.
Hope to see it implemented soon.
    Thanks
Does, anyone have a link for feature request submissions specific to iPhone?

I'd love cut & paste too. Otherwise how do you maintain/organize/re-organize lists on it easily...errands, tasks, to-dos, shopping lists, etc.
You can ask Apple for iPhone changes via this link:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Though if you're requesting hardware changes for iPhone v2 you may want to wait a week (or a month?)...they're probably going to be inundated right now by requests for software changes to the current iPhone.

  • NMT - Thoughts, Feature Requests & a Question - No...

After using Nokia Multimedia Transfer for over a day now with my N97 I am very happy with the software, it's a very good piece of software that looks at home on a Mac. I initially had problems with my mp3 collection not having embedded album artwork (this is the fault of iTunes not NMT) but have solved this by converting my mp3 collection to AAC (iTunes plus) and now have embedded album art.
The image transfer works but it just dumps all of the transferred images into an iPhoto structure that is not visible by the phone and as a result all of the images appear in the download folder of the image browser. This is not very practical when you have a lot of photos and it would be nice if NMT could duplicate the organisation of images in iPhoto (ie events, albums and folders). After all, you spend a lot of time organising your images in iPhoto and don't want to have manually repeat the process on your phone.
In another post I found a link to NMT feature requests that had been posted by a Nokia employee but I'm unable to find this link again. Does anybody have the link? If so could you post it to this topic?
The features I would like in NMT are:
The ability to duplicate the organisational structure in iPhoto (ie events, albums and folders)
Transfer of keywords/tags from iPhoto to the phone
Nokia, Great work on Nokia Multimedia Transfer!
Keep it coming for us Mac users (including an iSync plugin for the N97)
    Nokia N97 (RM-507) v 22
    iPhone 4 (Coming Soon) - Lemon N97 - SE - Nokia 8210 - Nokia 7710 - Nokia 5100

I am very agree with the most you talk.
But since the last update, the synchronization with iPhoto loose all the improvements done before with my N95.
    1) The Delete after transfer do not work.
    2) Photos deleted from the selected album in iPhoto, are not in the phone.
    3) The phone never again is identified as a camera. And imports the files as a folder.
    Any suggestion?

  • Update my Feature Request

I posted a feature request. There is a column "update", but I couldn't find how to update (=edit and add some comment) my request. Do I have to post a new feature request and refer to the old one?

    1) http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
    2) Probably, since it's been brought up over and over in these forums since the iPhone was first released. The others users has similarly been pointed to the Feedback page.

  • Feature request: disable passcode when on home wifi

With all the sensitive data in my phone, i need to have the passcode on when i'm out and about. However, i frequently open/close the phone at home to change songs via the remote app, etc.
Has anyone ever heard of a feature/app that allows you to turn off passcode protection when the iphone is on your HOME wifi? This sounds to me like the perfect security solution/compromise.

  • Feature Request: Add Skype option to user name field in contacts

Feature Request: Add Skype option to user name field in contacts
I know skype maintains it's own names but this is so you don't lose everrything when you move from one place to another. Or need to skype someone from an internet cafe with your iphone.

Why not simply add the field by modifying the template?

  • Feature request, link contact to appointment, including mapping

    Feature request for iPhone.
    1. Ability to link a contact to an appointment.
I would like to be able to go to the calendar, and have a button that associates a contact with a scheduled appointment.
the goal is to be able to have the iPhone type the contact name into an appointment, and to have the map to their address, as well as their phone number, available from the appointment screen.
I do not like having to type in an appointment with the mechanic, and then when I need a map I have to go into the phone book and scroll to the entry.
I do like very much the new search feature on FW 2.0. I already have that feature on 1.1.4, using the program called Search downloaded from Installer.
But it would be much cleaner user interface if simply touching the appointment text field one could access the contact that is scheduled in that appointment.
for example, say on Friday at 1pm Im supposed to take my car to my mechanic. Go to calendar, touch the text entry field, click a new button that adds the contact name to the appointment field. Then save.
Then implement a button on the text field in the calendar, that when touched links to the contact, including their address info so it can be mapped.
In summary, the feature allows a user to paste a contact name into an appointment, and then use the contact name in the appointment to link back to the phone book, so I can use the mapping feature.
    I hope that makes sense.

  • Feature request...where to post them?

    Hi everyone!
I have seen a friend's iPhone (which was jailbroken), which had the ability of turn-down-to-mute (when the iPhone is ringing, you turn it facing down, and it mutes automatically). It was some app named mcool iphone or something like that.
I'm not on a jailbroken iPhone, my question is when can Apple implement this feature, so we won't have to illegally hack our phones to get this cool feature?
Older nokias (like 8800 arte) already support this thing...
Where can we post a feature request to apple?
    Thanks!
