[iPhone] Find where an app icon is installed on the iPhone ?
Is there any way to tell where an app is located on an iPhone? For example find out that it's on the 3rd page in the top right location ?
Thanks, but what I was asking is if the iPhone SDK has a way that my app can find out programatically where it is located on the person's iPhone.

Check Applications.
However, if you open it from the Apple Menu, then click and hold on the icon in the Dock, choose Keep in Dock from the Options submenu.
Also note the “Show in Finder” option which can show you where something is. Not to useful in this case, but perhaps another time. -

while trying to sync with my iphone I recieve the message: This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone “Terri George’s iPhone”. Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store? When I put in my password and hit authorize, I get a message telling me there was an unknown error (-50). Would love to sync today. Any help would be appreciated.

These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:

Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network. -
I have a 1st generation iPad and recently updated to iOS 5. However, I can't find my AppStore app icon now. Like it's disappeared!
How do I get the icon back?Do your have Restrictions turned on? Settings>General.
If that's not it, scroll to the left until you get to the search page. enter "App Store", does this find the app? If so, then the icon is lost on some later page or is in some folder. -
has anymore experienced their app icons appearing so huge the you can't use your iPhone . I've done everything i can think of. restored my software and re sinked to no avail.

I would like to change the account I have linked to my phone, so my son can use the iTunes account I currently have (Since we had it when he had an iTouch, and all his paid apps are on it.) I was just wondering if I created a new iTunes account, if the apps I have installed to the phone would uninstall if I logged out, and logged into a new account.
Thanks!They won't uninstall even if you change accounts. However, you may not be able to update them while signed in to a different accoutn than the one who purhcased the apps.

The AFL app appears as "installed" in the PURCHASED section of the App Store, but the app, itself, is nowhere to be seen. Any ideas?
Can you find it using the Spotlight search on the iPod? Maybe you just can't find it.
Also try resetting the iPod. Nothing is lost.

when syncing iPad to MacBook Pro itunes says "this computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the ipad" . When I enter my id and password it tells me the computer is authorized.

I have just updated to ISO 8 and my app icons are not displaying the correct icon but just a generic icon. Anyone had a similar problem?
That happened to me for a short period of time after I updated. It didn't do it with all apps, but it did it with a few here and there. Try a few basic standard troubleshooting steps. Close all apps and reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
You can also try resetting all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
Hopefully it will be something simple, but don't rule out restoring the iOS software, if nothing else works, but start with this easy stuff first. -

Cloud app was un-installed, but the manager it says installed?
I did a system restore due to a driver issue and Photoshop CS6 cloud app was un-installed in the process
Now the application manager it says Photoshop CS6 is already installed, so I can't re-install it.
How can I get around this issue and re-install Photoshop CS6?
Thanks - JoHi Jeff, I use Windows 7 64 bit. No, It does not show in the Programs and Features control panel as I rolled back my system to an earlier point than when Photoshop CS6 was installed. So I was expecting to have to re-install it, but the Application Manager said it was installed and I can't see an un-install option or refesh?
Not sure what to do as in the apps bit in the cloud I've tried to re-install it that way, but nothing happens as it says it says it's installed. Any idea? -
How do I recover a lost password safe app icon after installing ios 7
I can only access secure safe app by searching on my iphone as the icon is missing after the install of ios7.0.2. I have rebooted with no restore of the icon. It is not sitting in any other folders. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks.
I rebooted twice and the second time worked. This seems to have resolved the issue.

Help! I updated my son's ipod touch with the IOS 6 update. Then i downloaded the new You tube app onto my itunes on the computer. When i synched my ipod the computer showa You Tube on the ipod but it isn't there and i cannot get it reinstalled. please help. This is very frusterating because there is obviously a glitch and i can't fix it. Any suggestions?

You've removed the Plex application from the Applications folder or deleted it so the alias can't find it. Hense the ? It's just an alias. It's not the program.
