IPhone Flash Player

So it seems that Apple is the only reason why there isn't yet a Flash player for the iPhone. Adobe has confirmed on numerous occasions that they have an iPhone Flash Player that works in the emulation, but Apple is not allowing them to port it over. If Apple doesn't want to allow it to act as a Safari plugin, they could have it work as a standalone player, like how Quicktime works. Let's get the support for an iPhone Flash Player going so that we can finally have the full internet experience on the iPhone!

  • How I can install flash player on iPhone 3GS?

Hello, I discovered you can not have flash player on Safari in iPhone. Is there any way to get it installed?

There is no straight forward way of doing it, however, you know how people get their iphone unlocked? that's 'jail breaking' means they go out of the iPhoneOS to do that. What you need to do, is to download and install an application package 'Cyndia' and then install 'iMobileCinema' plug-in in it and your Safari will start running flash player. My advise will be to not to go that way and wait for Adobe to release iPhone flash player.

No. You cannot download or install anything to iphone, unless it is offered in the App Store on itunes.
Adobe does not make a flash player for iphone.

  • Why can't I get Adobe Flash player for iPhone, and if not, what else can I

Help! I want to view videos and can't do it. No flash player available. Why not?!!
    Please help.

There is no flash player for the iphone and Adobe would be the one to develop one, not Apple. And there are no plugins to install instead, as far as I know.

  • Adobe flash player for my iphone 3gs 32mb please let safari accept it!

adobe flash player for my iphone 3gs 32mb please let safari accept it!

While I'm painfully aware of the lack of a version of Adobe Flash Player for the iPhone, more and more Flash-based web home pages are not accessible to the iPhone. I also understand that Flash Player is not compatible with Apple's 'vision' for iPhone Applications. The problem we have is this increasing exclusion of Flash-based web sites and if what I understand about Apple's policy on iPhone Apps is accurate, then we will never have access to these sites on an unmodified iPhone. I can see that one of the problems is that Adobe Flash Player competes with the YouTube Player and possibly with iTunes movies.
Unless the web pages have a link for iPhones or re-direct iPhones accessing those pages to a non-Flash version of the web page, it seems likely that we are basically, well...screwed. Anyone have a different take on this?
Do we need an Apple-Adobe intervention? Perhaps over a nice hot mocha latté in Seattle...

  • Install the flash player in the iPhone

I enjoy surfing the web with my iPhone 3G. Please explain how to install the flash player in the iPhone.
    Thanks!

There is some flyby-night application in Installer.app that allows for flash web-surfing. But it doesn't work too well, and isn't worth the risk.

    What problem?
There is no flash player for iphone.  it does not exist.  This is not a problem.  It is simply not a feature.
The iphone also does not have a can opener.  This also is not a problem, just not a feature.

  • Flash Player and iPhone

It's absurdly insane that iPhone did not include and continues to refuse support for commonly used FLASH content on web sites. When can we expect this idiosyncrasy to be corrected. For the money, I expect much more than "restricted" software. I love my iphone and Apple products. But, frankly, these kinds of continued OS peculiarities, especially one's related to the World Wide Web/Internet are enough to drive me back to Sprint. When I'm using a browser, I expect it to be able to access any website I desire, not constrained by the limitations of a brand of browser that lacks common supports! Get with the game, Apple . . . PLEASE!

Adobe said they'd do a Flash player, but would need Apple's help. So it's up to Apple.
From a developer standpoint, I'd like the Flash app player. But I can agree with your point about not wanting it to work (slowly) on a lot of current web pages.
From a consumer standpoint, I'd be very happy to have just the Flash video player to work under Safari. There are a lot of news and other sites that have Flash videos I'd like to see, without having to go back to my laptop to see them. I think this ability is what most people want.

  • Adobe Flash Player on iPhone

I'd like to be able to log onto SLOOH.com from my iPhone. I can get to SLOOH.com to display in Sarfari on my iPhone, but to get into SLOOH I need to have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed. How do I download and install Flash Player?
BTW, if someone is keeping a list of widgets to add to iPhone, please add the widget for StarryNight to the list. Thank you.

I can't use adobe flash player in safari is there anything I can use that will work the same

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

  • Using Adobe Flash Player on Iphone?

Is there a way to use videos created with Adobe Flash Player on an iphone or ipad?  I would really like to use this software and create them but believe we are missing a big audience.  If anyone has found a way, would you please share with me?

Puffin might be a good option for some people as well.  Same principle as your TeamViewer solution, but more streamlined - they run a flash instance on a server in the cloud and stream the results back to a specialized browser.

  • Flash Player for iphone 3gs w/ ios4

Newbee to iphone. Have a 3gs with ios4. I try to view the wather map on weather.com but keeps telling me that i need flash player. Is there a flash player for the iphone. I keep reading online that there is and there isnt one. Any input would be helpfull. thanks.

    Greetings,
There is no Flash Player for the iPhone, or iPad, and I'm glad of it. There are many reasons for not wanting a Flash Player, so you may want to search and look -http://mashable.com/2010/04/29/steve-jobs-flash-is-no-longer-necessary/ - here is the gist of it, and it's all true, and I'm speaking from a Network Engineer/Managers point of view and the experience I have had with the nasty little program.
I hate it on my Macs, as well as Winblows computers. HTML5 is going to be the new standard to replace Flash, and more and more sites are adopting it as we speak.
As far as TWC (weather.com) I play the videos all the time, without Flash. Select the Video button at the bottom, and up pops a weather guesser. Maybe some of the linked videos need Flash, but I haven't run across it yet. If I get to a site that needs Flash, I don't need to be there, and I read the text, and move along.
    Cheers,
    M.
