IPhone from UK can't be replaced in India :( wifi greyed out
My friend gifted me a iPhone 4s last year from UK, after using it from a year the wifi suddenly greyed out/ ocassionally gets connected to wifi but most of the time its out, Now i am in India and have no plans to visit UK, is there anything that i can do as store here says that it would not be replaced in India and i have to visit UK for repair or replacement. Please help
Apple is "answerable", but as has been said, Apple will provide no service, paid or warranty, for an iPhone outside of its country of sale. With just about every country requiring a different model/configuration of iPhone, Apple has apparently decided that it is not feasible for every service center to be able to provide every model, hence the restrictions. Most smartphone manufacturers have the same policy.
This is Apple's policy and there's nothing further any of us, your fellow users, can tell you.

I have tried resetting networks, resetting phone etc....nothing worksBroaden your perspective a bit. There are literally millions of phones out in the world without any issues at all. If you are reading posts on the internet about the ones with issues, then you would be left with the impression that they all have issues. Neither you nor I have data to support the existence of a widespread issue of this type.

What kind of calendars? iPhone calendar or from a service like Google or Exchange?
It is possible you have more than one backup.

Your question has been answered. Jailbreaking cannot be discussed here. If you buy a phone locked to a carrier, it would be down to them to unlock it, and that's very unlikely if you've only just got the phone. Locked phones are "cheap" for a reason - you're signing up for a contract and that subsidises the cost of the phone.

Doubt it. The phone will probably be locked to a specific carrier and you will be out of luck. I suggest just buying one brand new instead of someone else.

Dear apple, I am really dissapointed with you. Around January 2013, my iPhone 4s 16GB White has hardware issues, which was the Wi-Fi grey out. The wifi grey out means that I can't access the wifi on/off button, and also it has no connection. I have put up with it for months, until june 7 when I decided it has been long enough, and I got a replacement. I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy. Obviously you don't all know how to do your jobs, because if you did, we wouldn't have this problem. I would like a replacement phone, ONCE AGAIN. If this problem occurs again, I will simply stop buying your products, and lose faith in your company, your's sincerely, Jack Maher.

My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3. -
I can't delete songs on my the greyed out music on my iPhone
I can't delete songs on my the greyed out music on my iPhone. I've tried deleting it all by going on settings > general > usage > music and deleting it there but it just stays there despite saying 'music: no data'. I've tried unticking the songs when i plug my phone into itunes but it just comes up with a grey exclamation mark and i've also tryed just syncing my muisc and that doesn't work either
I don't want to restore my phone though because i don't want to lose my texts or notes, helpppppI wouldn't - uncheck Sync in Music tab of iTunes then re-sync and see if your music disappears from your phone.

After installing an app on iPhone 5s, I can't use it outside of wifi (using cellular or mobile data) and the app is not listed in settings to enable its use of mobile data - any clues on what is wrong here?
Steps to take to resolve this issue:
1/ Turn off Wifi
2/ Ensure Mobile (cellular) data is on
3/ Turn iPhone OFF and then ON (re-boot iPhone)
4/ Without turning Wifi on, open an app that requires mobile (cellular) data.
5/ The app will now show on the Settings list with the option to enable or disable mobile (cellular) data
6/ In time all apps that require or use mobile data will be added to the list automatically. -

The only thing that needs fixing is your memory. The passcode lock is working exactly as designed.
