IPhone froze, "restore" needed w/iTunes,but iTunes can't sync w/sec. lock
now iTunes doesn't even acnowledge iPhone and/or saying SIM card not inserted correctly or has SIM PIN Lock! I'm on vacation in Indonesia and feel HELPLESS! Somebody HELP Please! I have new 3G iPhone and worked perfect before trip here from US, and TEXT worked great, but then it just froze! Thanks!
My iPhone is having this problem also. I downloaded a new camera zoom app and opened it to check it out and my phone won't work now. It says I need to restore but iTunes won't sync and says my sim card is not inserted. Gah!

In that case, here is the applicable section from the iTunes Store agreement...
If you are a commercial enterprise or educational institution, you may download and sync an App Store Product for use by either (a) a single individual on one or more iOS Devices used by that individual that you own or control or (b) multiple individuals, on a single shared iOS Device you own or control.
So the way we have interpreted this is that each user( in a business) requires a separate iTunes account, though if the user had multiple devices that only he or she used, they need just one account for those devices. If you are an educational institution you can check out the iOS 5 Education Deployment Guide. Educational organizations have some different options.

Usually this error occurs when trying to downgrade the iOS or in a previously jailbroken phone. In this case, you cannot get help here. The internet and Google are your best friends.

But it can auto sync when i connect it to my old laptop. what's the problem that it can't auto sync and when i did a backup in my new laptop, it was corrupted the next day and i was forced to use back a backup which i did in my old laptop 4 months ago. do i have to reinstall the itunes? will my backups be corrupted after i sync again? pls guide.
P.S/ its the latest version of the itunes whenever i did the backups.iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

I get this error message
iTunes can not sync apps to the iPhone because it can not be determined which apps are installed on the iPhone.

If you go to the computer where your sync your phone to and open itunes and then go to edit in the tool bar then preferences then device preferences then devices.. hover the mouse pointer over your device name in the back up lists that appear there and it shows the IMEI

If your phone is locked because you entered passcode wrong too many times then you need to restore as new and data will be lost

I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps. I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps. I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

Where did the phone come from, it sounds like the device has been hacked or jailbroken to be unlocked and updating has re locked to the original carrier. It is also possible that the SIM simply needs to be reseated or replaced. -
