IPhone frozen- help needed restarting it.

My Iphone screen froze when I tried to unlock it today. It is fully charged. I have tried turning it off and connecting it to my laptop but neither worked. Please help.

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start. Usually about 10 seconds time of holding both buttons.
If nothing. Then connect to Wall Charger and Reset, usually up to 20 seconds of holding both buttons may be necessary.

Email account on Windows 8 Laptop to iPhone & iPad help needed

Hello all,
I have a Windows 8 laptop with an Eastlink (pop) email account using Outlook 2010 as my email software. I have an iPhone 4s and an iPad mini. In the past on a older laptop with Outlook 2003, and prior to ios7, when I checked my email on my phone, I could see the messages and delete, read etc. Then when I checked my email later on using my laptop, the messages on my phone would disappear and move to my laptop email. This is no longer the case. I have configured my Eastlink mail on the iPad and iPhone as imap and when I check my email, I can see the Eastlink email messages but they stay there and do not ever show up in my Outlook 2010 account on my laptop. I need to figure out the settings to change to get this working the way it used to. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I think I'm understanding but correct me if I'm not getting it. My laptop is a POP account so when I check mail, it is removed from the Eastlink mail server and the messages end up in my Outlook 2010 software on the laptop - this setting has been in place long before I got an iPhone. It is my "master account" for lack of a better word.
Then, when I got my iPhone, I was able to check my email through the settings for IMAP. If I'm understanding correctly, what I see on my phone is a copy of what is still sitting on the Eastlink server and the original stays on the Eastlink server until I physically download it to the POP account. I don't want all of my mail on the Eastlink server all the time, I'd like to clear it off of there and have it on my laptop. I have a large archive of messages in my Outlook software, some going back to 2008 which I need to keep as they pertain to things I can't delete. Am I missing something by thinking that if I had my laptop email set as IMAP all along, even when using the laptop, I would have been leaving all those messages on the Eastlink server and that would have had me over my quota pretty quickly?
When I first got the phone, my laptop settings were never changed to IMAP yet when I checked the mail on my phone, I could see the messages, then when I got home to my laptop and downloaded my email, they magically disappeared from my phone automatically because they were no longer on the Eastlink server but were now on the laptop. This stopped after one of the upgrades that eventually ended up being IOS7. I swear it used to work that way. I've gone to wiki and read about IMAP and POP but I must be missing some basic understanding.

IOS 5.0.1 - iphone frozen. help!!

I updated my iphone with ios 5.0.1 and my phone is frozen with it asking me to connect to itunes. itunes wont recognise that the phone is connected through the usb port.

EVERYONE TRY HARD RESETTING YOUR PHONES BEFORE POSTING HERE.
IT WORKED FOR ME LIKE IT HAS FOR EVERYONE ELSE WHO TRIED IT.
Be sure and do a update on the phone when it is Fully charged up. Also I would suggest taht you intall Battery Doctor + from the App store (its free)
Also disable wifi icloud connection, just do it thru the usb to computer connection.
Then do the following
TO HARD RESET:
• HOLD DOWN HOME AND POWER BUTTONS SIMULTANEOUSLY FOR 10 SECONDS
• THE PHONE SHUTS ITSELF DOWN (IGNORE THE NORMAL PROMPT TO TURN IT OFF)
• ONCE IT SHUTS ITSELF DOWN, LET GO OF THE BUTTONS, IT'LL HARD RESET ON IT'S OWN.
IT WORKS!

The "Find my iPhone" troubleshoot help needed....

"The find my iPhone" app is locating my device in a different state vs. the current state I live in. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? Does this have a fix?

I'm assuming you know where your device is and it's in your state - right?
Which device? If it's not an iphone, then it could be that the wifi router it's connecting to is not correctly registered to its location. Do you know which router is being used? Is it your home router or at some other location?

Iphone 3gs help needed

I have a iphone 3gs on AT&T and I updated to IOS 5.1.1 a week ago and my phone freezes at the lock screen and when I go to turn it off I can't even do that, I've tried resetting it multiple times and it doesn't do any good.

Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have tried ALL the troubleshooting steps recommended and you still have the issue, then there's nothing else you can do. Bring the phone in to Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.

It is not possible to activate an iPhone (except CDMA iPhones) without a SIM card. If the phone is carrier locked, you will need a SIM from the carrier it is locked to. The SIM does not need to be 'active', it just has to be present.

IPhone scratch help needed...

So, it's only 2 days after I bought my iPhone and somehow there is a little scratch on the screen (I'd say about 4 centimeters...but still very annoying). It isn't extremely deep but I can feel it when I rub my fingernail over it. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it or am I pretty much screwed? I am in shock after seeing keys taken to the iPhone and even a razor blade and no scratches visible...I honestly have no idea what I could have done! I don't think it was purchased like that because I would have noticed I think.

oh men i'm sorry from what happen to your phone if i could only remember the t.v. add i saw once.. it a lens scratch fixer but in the t.v. ad i saw it they used it on sunglasses scratch and the scrath are really gone.. and bascally iphone screen is a glass it might work with it.. maybe try searching the net for a lens scratch fixer.. tyr this link maybe it would worl it's only $12 though.. hope this could help you..

Iphone frozen! need a phone! freaking out here!

I've had this phone for a couple months now and not one problem until now. At exactly 3:28 am my iphone froze up. I've tryed pressing the buttons to turn it off and it isn't responding to anything. I tryed to plug it in to my computer to reset it and the computer doesn't even recognize that it's connected! I kinda...no really really need my phone for work. If anyone can shed some light on what I can or need to do short of throwing it at a wall please, PLEASE let me know!!! And if it needs to be repaired, who do I call?

*The same thing happened to me a few days ago. I have tried everything except restoreing the iphone(didn't want to lose data). I will be watching this forum to see if anyone chimes in on what other things to try.Does anyone know if I bring it into an APPLE store if they will fix it right there or do they hold it forever?? I somehow figured a way to get it up and running without getting the internet working. I can use it as a phone etc. but just no internet. I CANNOT get to SETTINGS which is driving me crazy.*
*Anyone out there with any other suggestions? I didn't do anything like drop it or get it wet either.*

New iphone user - help needed with sync and icloud

I have 389 contacts on my iphone 4S,but only 370 are appearing in icloud on my laptop. When I look at "Groups" on my iphone there are two - icloud which contains the 370 that have sync'd ok, and my Apple account name (or e-mail address, they're the same) which contains 379. Presumably the missing 19 are somewhere in this 379, as when both groups are enabled I have the total of 389.
Any suggestions how I can get all my 389 contacts (and future new ones that I add) to sync correctly?

Because there is only 19 I would go to icloud.com and sign in. I would add each one into your contacts that way and delete the duplicates.

Hey ive been doin some research and found out that if you put bogas info in about yourself which makes you fail the credit check you can have a kinda oay& go service. at&t do a kinda pay&go service where you pay in advance but with slighly worse plan details i.e. less minutes, i just wonderin if anybody knows of any such plans that o2 might have because i dont want to be tied down to an 18month contract.

I am no expert on these ways around this sorta thing, but I would think that O2 would have seen what happened with the iPhone, and they will want Apple to fix this bug before November 29.
However, I really don't know. Just have to wait and see!

IPhone keyboard help needed

Hope all will be doing good. I have one text box in my application, when i runs my program and tries to write something in the textbox, there comes a pop up keyboard. Now when i finishes my typing work and presses enter, the keyboard still remains visible and don't hide. Please suggest me how can i hide it on the 'PressEnter' event?

IDVD Semi-Frozen - help needed!

I've gotten some info from various postings on here but I didn't see an exact replica of my issue:
When I open iDVD a black window is what I get where you would normally see a particular menu. If I click on the menu-tree section, I do see the layout structure but it will not play at all. I have done the following:
1. repaired permissions
2. deleted files from my hard-drive - I have over 30GB of free space
I first noticed this when a few days ago I was adding multiple slideshows to a page and then it all locked up. Even opening older, smaller iDVD projects doesn't work. Is it possible to just re-install iDVD from the iLife discs? Has anyone had a similar problem and resolved it? thanks in advance.

You mean when you open a new project and select a theme none of the them appear in the iDVD window?
You can re-install just iDVD from iLife discs.

Help needed please, everytime I try to update the software version on my iphone it comes up with a message saying it could not be completed and is now frozen with the apple picture and progress bar on it. Do I unplug it and hope the macbook pro sees it again, I also stupidly did not back up before starting the download which I realise I will have to go back to the previous back up. This keeps happening, everytime I do this type of update, I'm starting to think I should just give up on updating my software on the Iphone. I thought it was happening because I was using a window based computer to do the updates, this time I used my Macbook Pro. Please somebody help

IPhone 3G 8GB Crashes when syncing with iTunes. URGENT HELP NEEDED.

I have latest iTunes and OS on my iPhone 3G...
Every time i plug my iPhone in it begins to sync and then iTunes will freeze and not respond..
I have tried re installing iTunes.. I can't reset my iPhone as i can't create a backup..

I don't have an iphone, but if it's anything like my click-wheel ipod, a reset doesn't delete anything.
It just resets the ipod's operating system, kind of like a PC restart. Did you try this Sleep/Wake button thing mentioned here?
