Iphone frozen! need a phone! freaking out here!

I've had this phone for a couple months now and not one problem until now. At exactly 3:28 am my iphone froze up. I've tryed pressing the buttons to turn it off and it isn't responding to anything. I tryed to plug it in to my computer to reset it and the computer doesn't even recognize that it's connected! I kinda...no really really need my phone for work. If anyone can shed some light on what I can or need to do short of throwing it at a wall please, PLEASE let me know!!! And if it needs to be repaired, who do I call?

*The same thing happened to me a few days ago. I have tried everything except restoreing the iphone(didn't want to lose data). I will be watching this forum to see if anyone chimes in on what other things to try.Does anyone know if I bring it into an APPLE store if they will fix it right there or do they hold it forever?? I somehow figured a way to get it up and running without getting the internet working. I can use it as a phone etc. but just no internet. I CANNOT get to SETTINGS which is driving me crazy.*
*Anyone out there with any other suggestions? I didn't do anything like drop it or get it wet either.*

First, create a separate login on your computer for your friend. Do this BEFORE you do anything else. Next, make sure iTunes is up to date. Then:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under Preferences>Devices in iTunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book, iCal) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect her phone, iTunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on her phone will be in her itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore her itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding her contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.

FREAKING OUT HERE!! videos not playing in 4.0.3

I have a major presentation to give in 3 hours and I am having a MAJOR freak out here. I've had trouble with movies not playing properly before (black screen with just the audio playing) but either clicking on the 'Allow Expose, Dashboard....' button in preferences, or reloading them (insert, choose) has fixed the problem. Now nothing seems to work. Tried rebooting the machine, even trying to play a single movie in a new document. Nothing. I'm sunk if I can't get this wretched program to work very very soon. HELP ANYONE!!

What's the format of the videos? Do they play in QuickTime, iTunes?

[N97 mini] phone freaks out when I want to pick up...

Is there some sort of workaround, tweak or app available that can prevent my phone from freaking out when I want to receive a phone call? It is simply impossible to see who is calling because the display will not display anything for a few seconds when it's rotated. It is also not possible to use the slider keys to pick up or decline the call. Is there some way to prevent the display from rotating without disabling auto rotating all together?

1. iTunes Menu > Store > Authorize This Computer
2. iTunes Menu > Store > Sign in
3. iTunes prefs > Devices > Prevent .... from syncing automatically
4. With iTunes open, connect phone
5. iTunes Menu > File > Devices > Transfer Purchases
6. iTunes Menu > File > Devices > Backup
Now safe to sync. You will lose any music/media on the phone that was NOT purchased from the iTunes Store (i.e. ripped CD's, MP3's from other sources)

Where did my iDisk go? I'm freaking out, here.

I just updated to Lion (which I wish I Knew would make my Photoshop and Office obsolete, by the way) and now my iDisk is gone, along with all of my files. I put all of my documents on there and I need them. Are they gone forever? I'm completely freaking out.

Iphone frozen - need help!

My Iphone has recently frozen was fine one minute then when i looked back a while later the screen was blank and will not turn on.
Didnt think the battery was dead but nevertheless I have had it on charge all day but my pc, laptop and dock wont pick it up.
Have also tried the restore - home button + wake button - as i have had this problem once before and this sorted it straight away, but even this wont work now.
Have also tried to reboot through Itunes (which is up to date) but it does not pick up that the device is even plugged in.
What can i do?

Turn your iPhone off by holding down the top on/off button. Then with a paper clip pop out your Simm card ( I think that is what they call it). Make sure see which way its facing. Wait a minute, reinsert card (the right way), and power up phone. Hope this helps you out. It happened to me one time only a while back.

No, that is not normal.
The iPhone is still under warranty. Take it to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center and let them look at it and advise you about the next steps.

So, I get this new hard drive, but none of my purchased music, or any of my music, was transfered when I moved all of the data. The old drive is no more, after it said hello to the hammer. I want to know how to get the music that I purchased back onto Itunes without paying for it again. Is this possable?

If the music is still on your iPod, try this.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
However it appears that no playlists or any other info such as ratings/last played etc will transfer.
If this is important to you, you may want to use other options.
There's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer.
If it isn't on your iPod (and on your computer either), then it's lost.

Today was the first time I plugged my iPod into my macbook since updating to iTunes 11 (huge mistake). I added a few albums to it, then ejected.
After ejecting, I look at it, and where is music? Nowhere to be seen. All of it, GONE. 86gb of music, most of which I can't get back since I just moved to a new country and all my albums are back home.
Now, the weird thing is, the iPod says there's 86gb of files in it, but in Other. What the **** happened?

So are you saying that the music already on your iPod was not in your iTunes Library - that you have deleted that music from the Library and then allowed your iPod to Sync with a Library that only has the new added music?
If so, I don't think there is anything you can do until you have access to the albums at home.
The idea of iTunes is that you put all your music into the iTunes Library and then allow a Sync of the iPod with your iTunes to make a copy of what is in iTunes. If you make a change to the Library, a subsequent Sync will synchronise (copy those changes) onto your iPod.

Freaking out---FCPX 3 downloads

Hey guys---freaking out here. Here is my story..Downloaded FCPX for work on MY apple id with there card. So I have FCPX on 2 machines at work..one is a laptop,another is a iMac. They are both work computers...not mine...I did this last year (downloaded on my account)in a pinch to do some video editing for work..A couple of months ago I purchased a iMac from home and saw the FCPX available in my store. So I downloaded it. I thought I could download it 5 times on authorized computers. Now I realize you half to own them...so the 2 computers at work are in non legal status. Now I am freaking out apple will find out and call my work and I will get fired...I would buy a license for personnel use but I can't again on the store. Should I delete the home version???

The Terms of Use for Mac App Store apps is that you may install apps bought with your Apple ID on all Macs that you own or control, including work computers if they are under your control. You shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Besides, Apple isn't big brother, Apple has no idea where you have installed the apps, Apple works on an honor system.

When connecting USB Droid freaks out...

When I connect Droid to laptop with USB the phone freaks out and starts opening and closing apps, typing messages, making phone calls constantly. Make it impossible to make the connection.
How do I fix it?

I don't have a credit card nor do they gove debit cards to foreigners here, or at least it's really hard so I'm using my bank at home and still have a debit there. My phone number is 8 numbers plus the country code which is strange! Another thing is I was given a phone email that I was told to use for texting but I'm not sure how that works!! It's so frustrating too because no one speaks English here and I'm not very tech savvy. God bless you if you can help :)

whichever app store you are connecting to, hyou need a credit card with an address in that country. Also, itunes gift cards must be in local currency too.
