Iphone hacked thru yahoo mail?

I keep receiving a request to enter my yahoo mail password at anytime I start my iphone g3. I now click "cancel" but it's too late. My iphone icloud mail keeps getting junk mail I don't dare to click on it since I suspect I have been hacked. The interesting thing is that it does not download to my home icloud mail...thank god!. The problem I see with icloud in Iphone and also in my laptop is that the program does not allow me to select a number of unopened mail and delete before it opens the message, as with yahoo and gmail. Can someone shed some light on how to go about this?, short of calling Apple and get support, which I may have to do after the holidays. Thanks.

IPhone 4s has yahoo mail icon permanently on safari when there are no open pages

My iPhone 4s using iOS7.0.2 has a Yahoo mail icon displaying permanently on the top of Safari when there are no open pages. The icon did not disappear even when I deleted my Yahoo mail account. The icon also has my Yahoo username displayed below it. Is there any way I can remove the Yahoo mail icon from permanently displaying on Safari? I cleared my history, cookies and data, but the Yahoo icon is still there.

I have the same issue and koban4max's sugggestion doesn't work (well, it works, but you'll need to do it once a day.) I am surprised this hasn't been widely reported either as an iphone, Verizon or Yahoo issue. I tried various suggestions (deleting/re-adding account, moving messages to a new folder and changing password on computer/iphone, etc.) It will push for a while but stop pushing in a few hours or a few days. This leads me to believe somewhere in the interface corrupts the process. I would love to know if it's unique to Verizon, iphone 4S or IOS 5, or all of the above. The phone doesn't even fetch according to schedule, only when you are in the application. BTW, the Exchange push solution for Gmail works wonderfully.

Syncing iphone calendar with yahoo mail

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to sync my iphone calendar with my yahoo calendar. I use att yahoo for my email and prefer to continue doing so. I have an old version of Outlook with no calendar. Short of buying a new version of Outlook for my computer, is there any solutions? I don't understand why this shouldn't be possible since I can get Yahoo mail on my iphone. Would Mobile Me do that?

Sjazbec, I have to disagree based on experience. Since activatingiCloud on my iPhone 4 (updated to IOS 5) and the mail app on my newiMac (running LION) last Tuesday, NONE of my email shows up in theyahoo inbox via the mail app on my iphone. ALL of my email is visiblefrom the yahoo website page through Safari. NONE of the mail sent frommy iPhone appears in the Sent folder on Yahoo.
Until last Tuesday, none of this happened with my iPhone 4.
Onmy iPhone, I went to Settings->iCloud and deleted my iCloud account(option available if you scroll all the way down) completely, andvoila, lo and behold, instantly, all my email since Tuesday magicallyappears in my inbox.
I admit it's likely I have noconcept as to how iCloud is supposed to work. Of course, I bought bothLion and IOS5 and neither came with any explanation.

I turned off iCloud back up on my iphone and ALL of my Yahoo mail is GONE!!!! HELP!!!!

2nd Yahoo Mail Account - How to access?

Problem: I'm unable to set up my personal Yahoo Business mail account on my iPhone.
I have my work enterprise mail set up with the regular native iPhone mail client. It is my desire to keep my work enterprise e-mail account completely separate from either my Yahoo or Gmail accounts.
I actually have two different Yahoo e-mail accounts, one personal and a separate Yahoo Business account. I've got my regular Yahoo personal account going to the Yahoo Mail app for iPhone - no problem. However, I'm unable to find a way to have my separate Yahoo Business account on the iPhone. The Yahoo Mail app doesn't seem to allow the accessing of two separate accounts by the app.

Does deleting yahoo mail account in system prefs and recreating it as Add Other Account lose mail data?

Having trouble getting Notes from iMac to sync with iPad and iPhone. On iPad and iPhone I deleted Yahoo mail account in prefs and recreated it as Add Other Account. This restored Notes that had not been showing up. Can I do the same thing on my iMac?

I'd add the new account first, unless you can lose all your eMails in that account.

Yahoo Mail not sending anymore

My Yahoo Mail on Mac Mail was working fine until a few days ago. It could not send out email any more. I have tried a few different settings including smtp.mail.yahoo.com (my original setting which worked until recently) and also plus.smtp.yahoo.com. Incoming mail is still working fine. My other mailbox also setup for the same Mac Mail is also working fine incoming and sending both ways.
Any ideas?
(By the way, I did not subscribe to Yahoo Plus)

Am having same problem. Spent 45 minutes with Apple support via telephone yesterday. They said it is a problem with Yahoo after we went through power cycling, resetting (home+sleep/wake), and re-configuring Yahoo email support (which did solve the problem for about 12 hours).

I am using an iPhone and am having problems sending email. I have tried sending messages from my iPhone using my Yahoo mail account configured through the shortcut on the iphone.
Yesterday I lost about 10 sent messages - I typed them and hit send (while I had EDGE service) and the iPhone indicated they had been sent, but the items did not show up in my sent items folder (on iPhone and on Yahoo Mail online).
I contacted Apple support and they walked me through power cycling iPhone, resetting iPhone, and finally re-signing up for Yahoo Mail via the iphone (i.e. setting up Yahoo on the iPhone email client again). This resolved the problem until it began to recur today.
I have sent several emails from my iPhone, all of which have appeared to send without incident but show up in neither iPhone sent mail folder or online Yahoo sent mail folder. I have used my Gmail account via iPhone without incident or interruption during these periods of time, so I know it is a problem between the iPhone and yahoo mail.

I deleted my yahoo email account on my iphone 5 as Yahoo mail has been down all week.
Tried to set it back up again but it gives me the message "the user name or password for apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect"
This is not so as I've got it working now on my imac.

I doubt this is anything other than Yahoo!'s problem. People have been having sporatic results connecting from various locations and devices when it seems to work from others.
Unfortunately, I think you are just going to have to wait out the storm.

My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. Iphone's contact mix up with my yahoo mail's contact

I have done something wrong on my iPhone 4, now the phone contact (phone numbers) had erased all my Yahoo Mail's contacts (email address). What have I done wrong?

Two weeks ago, my Yahoo Mail address book had been hacked, so I changed my login password for my Yahoo Mail account by using my iPhone 4. (since I didn't bring my MacBook with me for that trip.) I am not sure if I have done anything wrong on my iPhone to make my Yahoo contact synchronize with my iPhone contacts.

Are you sharing the iPad? Is it authorized for the content from you both? Restore the iPad to the factory settings and only sync with your account.

Yahoo Mail, Iphone and Apple Mail

I don't currently have an Iphone but plan to get one in the coming months. I've been having trouble finding answers to questions regarding Push Yahoo Mail:
1. Are yahoo e-mails sent through the Iphone also saved in the sent messages folder on the Yahoo server?
2. Not an Iphone question, but has anyone noticed when using Apple Mail with Yahoo Pop 3 (I'm a paid premium member), messages sent thru Apple Mail are NOT saved in the sent folder on the Yahoo server? G-mail Pop 3 DOES.
3. Does the Iphone recognize e-mails filtered into Yahoo Mail's folders? Apple Mail doesn't.
Any info much appreciated!

before it was yahoomail..i change to gmail..after i update to ios7 it need primary
email add yahoo.com.. i call to apple customer service they can't even help me out
so many verification about my phone..in the end they can't help
