iPhone 5 headphones have stopped working in one ear. I've tried it on multiple devices and they still won't work. Is there anything I can do?

If the headphones exhibit the same issue on multiple devices, the headset is the issue.
Everything that was included in the box with the iPhone is covered under the same 1yr warranty. Take them to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Searching around suggests this is a common problem. I've got the same issue. I just read that shortcuts are now sync'ed across other iOS devices. It probably has something to do with that. Sorry this isn't a helpful reply! But just wanted to chime in and indicate a lot of us have this problem.

I've recently purchased a pair of in-ear headphones for my iPhone. About 2 weeks later (now) one side (the right side) has stopped working. Amazingly, that's also where the remote is but it does work, the actual earbud doesn't though. I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with the jack, since this happens with my TV when I plug them in, too. I'm also wondering if I can get it replaced by Apple and what I would need to take to them to get it replaced if so. Thanks, help is appreciated. (:

I've had Dell, HP, Gateway, IBM, Compaq, Lenova, and other computer manufacturer's send replacement drives to users as warranty replacements. They normally take your credit card number so they can charge you if you don't return the defective part by a certain date. I can't understand why Toshiba is so **bleep** about this. I don't blame you for not wanting to send in your laptop to have the hard drive replaced under warranty. Just get a Western Digital Scorpio Blue from Newegg, ZipZoomFly, or some other reputable online reseller and replace it yourself.

Headphone jack not working in one ear :/

I have a mac book pro retina which has no damage at all to the laptop itself, I only bought it last November. And suddenly out of nowhere when I have headphones in the left ear doesn't work, it's really quiet and you can barley hear it, i've tried 4 pairs of different headphones and its the same with them all, so not a problem with them. So i'm Not sure if this is a soft wear problem or a problem with the mac itself? Helppppp?

Help my headphones have stopped working

I was watching a video done in flash. I opened up the menu trying to make it full screen. I went into the setting tab and hit the Microphone tab. Now all sounds comes out of the laptopn speakers and the headphones simply do not work.
I do not even think I clicked in the mircophone menu.

Having similar issue with iPad 2. No volume on Apps or Music (except when using headphones). Just started happening after months of no issues. Have reset/ restored with no solution. Can you provide more detail with your solution? I went to >settings>accessibility>voiceover.....but could not find headphones etc... what am I missing. Could you be more specific on what you changed to resolve your issue.

Hi, I have always been careful to not leave my headphones plugged in when I'm not using my iPod (classic), but yesterday for some reason no music will play through the right headphone. I have tried three different sets of headphones and it's the same will all of them so it has to be the iPod, is there an easy fix at all? if i have to have it fixed does anyone know how much it might cost?

I don't think it's possible anymore. I'm mildly surprised you were able to keep podcasts in regular playlists this long - I thought this option disappeared back with iOS7.
I do share your pain. I've finally grown used to having the podcasts in a separate app, but I still don't like it.

Do you get sound from the internal speakers? If you hold down the opt/alt key and click the speaker icon on the menu bar, what options do you have under 'Output Device'? Look into the headphone socket, can you see a red light?

My iphone5 speakers have stopped working. the headphones still work as does the ringer. the phone indicates it is still in headphone mode. does anyone know how to fix this ?

after running i disconnected my iphone headset. since then my iphone speakers have stopped working. i can still listen to music using headphones and the phone ringer still works but the speakers are silent. when i adjust the volume it indicates it is in "headphone" mode. I have read in other threads with similar problems that cleaning the headphone jack/port seems to usually work. The simplest method is to rapidly plug/unplug the headphones a few times. See if that works.

- Insert and remove the headphone plug a dozen times or so
- Restore the iPod. Try to factory defaults/new iPod too.
- If still problem then you have a hardware problem. Like the headphone jack is bad.

Thanks, this was the clue I needed to figure it out.
From Settings you can pull up Control Center.
In Control Center you can enable "Access from within Apps" (also "Access from Lockscreen")
Now when I'm playing music, I can swipe up from the bottom and a little control center window slides up. Neat - this is new since my old iPod. On this window, the name of the current Bluetooth connection appears. Tap on that, and a list of connected Bluetooth items appears. I just tap on the one I want to connect to and I am now playing through the speakers I want.

For your iCloud backup, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. No, just uninstall the MobileMe control panel. All Mobileme services have been discontinued, so the control panel is not doing you any good being in there at present.
