Iphone, How to add music files without erasing the previous song lists already in the iPhone.

Hi
Is there a way to add additonal songs in the iPhone without deleting the songs already stored in the iPhone.
The problem is that most of the original songs stored in the PC has been erased in order to free up hard disk space.
Hence everytime when I link up the iPhone to the PC in order to add additional songs, the iPhone would sync itself to the iTune and erase what's already in the iPhone only to store the new songs.
If possible, I'd like to add not just single song multiple times but rather lists of songs in multiple folders at a time.
Thank you for your help.

If you have manually manage music and videos checked and have disabled sync automatically, you can now drag and drop videos right onto the iPhone in iTunes. You can also delete songs and videos right from the iPhone in iTunes. Just click on the iPhone in the left pane, hit the music folder and drag and drop all you want and delete all you want.

how to add music files from other external hard drives??

Not sure what you are trying to achieve.. You can copy the files to anywhere you like.. but the TC is a backup target for Time Machine.. it is not a media server.. it is totally useless copying your files to the TC as they will not be backed up from there.. TC has no built in backup and TM cannot backup network drives.

  • I have music on my ipod and a new library on my new pc and i would like to merge both together.  How can i do this without erasing the one on my ipod?

I have an Ipod with alot of music on it that i have had for a while.  The PC i used to sync it to crashed and i lost my itunes library.  I now have a new PC and have already started loading new music onto it.  I now realize that the music that is on my Ipod is not on the PC yet.  I would like to know how to merge my ipod with the old music onto the new PC with the new music.  When i pluged it in Itues said it would erase the ipod and replace it with what is now on the PC and of course i said no.  So i now have two different libraries and would like to only have one made up of both.  Any help?

  • HT1296 how to add new photos without deleting the existing photos in ipad

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to add new photos/PDF books from my PC to iPad without deleting the exsting data in iPad?

    Hello AJ2349
If it is prompting you that it will replace the data on your iPhone, then that is typically the result of syncing with a different computer. The only way you can bypass that is to replace the media on your device and then sync. Now it will only replace items that would be considered purchased items like music, movies, TV shows and Apps and would not delete any pictures from your iPhone. Alternatively you can setup a Shared Photo Stream and then add the Photos there without syncing your iPhone with your computer. Check out the articles below for more information.

  • Keynote is an amazing tool for preparing presentations. However, keynote for iOS devices(e.g. iPad) doesnot have the simple way to add audio files in to the files. When we will have the update to add music files right into the keynote slide?

I have been using Keynote for presentation slides to be used in conducting training sessions. Though, Keynote has beautiful interface with elegant transitions to animate, it doesnot provide any way to add audio or music files into the slides in iOS devices alone. I have been waiting for the update to add this very feature, but cannot find it yet. When could we have this upate?

Send Apple feedback and tell them what you want. However, many app versions of programs are skinnied down, and that functionality may not be workable in the App version. Can't know until you suggest it to them however.
Lower right corner of this page, the contact us link, give it a try.

  • How do I add a playlist without erasing the current playlists and apps?

I have multiple devices, such as an iphone, ipad, and itouches. They are for different members of the family and have different playlists and apps. I want to update the playlists on my phone, but it looks like I will have to erase everything in order to sync it. I would like to change the playlists, but not lose the apps. Is that possible? I've already backed up my devices and transferred purchases. Thank you.

Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from your other computer to /Music/ on your Mac and your iPhone will sync fine.
Make sure to authorize your computer for the old iTunesID.

  • How to add music/files to itunes?

I reanctly found my old music on a flash drive. I have been trying to add the files to itunes, but it is not working. I am going through the normal procedure, bu adding files to libary, but nothing is happening... Would be great if someone could give me some advice! Beth

    Beth,
When iTunes encounters a file that is not compatible it "errors silently," which looks to the user exactly like "nothing is happening."  So I'm guessing that the files you found are either in a format not compatible with iTunes, or else are corrupted, more likely the former.
Do they play OK in another player, such as QuickTime or VLC?

  • How to export war files without including the library files

    Hi,
I have several portlets that share the same jar files. In my tomcat, I'd like to load those jar files from shared/lib when tomcat starts up. Currently, to accomplish this, I export the war file from jsc, deploy to tomcat, then manually delete the jar files from WEB-INF/lib.
Is there a way I can modify some property file so that my war file does not include the shared libraries?
    Thanks,
    Marc

    Hi!
Rightclick project's root node in Projects window and select Properties. Then go to Build->Packaging and remove unnecessary libraries.
    Thanks,
    Roman.

  • How to add new file type in the xmp allowed files list

I have to embed metadatas in files that are not listed in the xmp compatible format ( 3D files like dae or obj).
Is it possible to describe metadatas in  a "sidecar" .xmp files and ask Bridge to embed this metadatas when uploading the files to a Dam ( e.g. Adobe CQ) like what is possible with Digital Photography raw formats, and is handled by Lightroom ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
In general it is not possible to use Bridge to embed sidecar XMP information into files like Lightroom is doing it. And Bridge only supports metadata read/write in those formats and in those ways as are defined in the XMP specification.
But you can use the latest XMP SDK to write your own handlers for file formats that are currently not supported. Those file handlers can then be used in either your own application that uses the XMP SDK or any Adobe Video application like Premiere or After Effects to read/write sidecar files or embed XMP metadata into the files. Currently it is not possible to use those file handler plug-ins in other Adobe image applications like Bridge or Photoshop.
Please see the XMPFiles Custom File-Handler Plug-in SDK for more information.
Please note that other applications (like CQ) might probably not automatically pick up the metadata you wrote into the file or in a sidecar file, as the other application might probably not have the "knowledge" or technical means to handle metadata in such file formats where you wrote the metadata in a custom way.

  • How to add a file to jar without compression using JarOutputStream

    Hi,
I just want to know how to add a file without compression to a jar using JarOutputStream. By default the file is compressed when you add it to the JarOutputStream. This option is present when you create a jar using command line mode using the jar tool. Is there something like that in JarOutputStream.
    Thanx in advance.

  • How do you add music and sfx to the new music/sfx library?

Has anyone figured out how to add music and sfx to the new music and sfx library.  I like this feature but as it sets right now it is worthless unless I can figure out how to get my licensed music library into the correct folder.

    From the Help:
    Import from a hard disk
You can import media—video, audio, still images, and graphics files—from your computerʼs hard disk, a connected external storage device, a memory card inserted in your computerʼs card slot or a card reader, or a network attached volume. You can import media using the Import Files window or by dragging files from the Finder.
When you drag media from the Finder into Final Cut Pro, the media is imported using the organize, transcode, and analysis settings you set in the Final Cut Pro preferences. If you donʼt want to use the Import Files window to manage your import, and if you want to always use the same organize, transcode, and analysis settings, importing by dragging files into Final Cut Pro is a good option. See Import preferences for information on the Import preferences.

  • How to add audio files.

I'm using Premiere Elements 11 on my iMac.  I can't for the life of me figure out how to add music files to the 8 or so that come with the program.  Anybody else having this problem or am I just dumber than most?

As I put in my original post I might be dumber than most and that's still a possibility.  I also tried the "Use Smartsound" same feeling that I didn't like the add on that just took me to another site to sell me music.  I couldn't find the "Project Assets" box after looking almost everywhere.  But.....  I was in the "Quick" mode.  Knowing I was a rank beginner I avoided the "Expert" tab.  But after looking everywhere else I opened that tab and "It's A Miracle" there it was.  Still stumbling through the learning process so thanks for your kind help.  If I hit the wall again I'll make another post looking for help.  Thanks Again.
I tried the Quick mode.  When I did 'add media' in the upper left corner, video files went straigt to the project box.  Then I tried an audio file and it went below the video in the project box.  So, I see where in 'Quick' the 'Project Assets' box and step are skipped.  Sorry about misleading you.
Either way, audio files get to the project box when you pick them up as a file on your computer.
There are two great sources to speed the learning process.  lynda.com has courses that are like a personal demo of everything PrE does with a great coach explaining it.   http://www.lynda.com/Premiere-Elements-tutorials/Up-Running-Premiere-Elements-11/109763-2. html  A few if the chapters are free as a trial.  The fee is $25 for a month of access.  One month is more than enough if all you want is the one course.
If you prefere owning a course on a disk, video2brain is an alternative, but I don't think it is as thorough.

iPhone is designed to sync with one computer only, if you sync with another, all your content will be erased and replaced by whatever is on that computer.
