Iphone icloud - Backup

Hello, on Friday, October 5 I get my new iPhone 5. I make a backup of all my data for iCloud. October 6th day my iPhone went crazy, I was presenting faults told me to connect to iTunes. After that, I had erased all my iphone demi information. Without wishing Backup I gave and I performed a backup but as the phone had no information because I had deleted everything, I lost my backup.Mi question is: It will be possible for Cloud to backup as I had my phone and October 5?
Thank you!

Go check if iCloud backed up for you. Tap Settings App > iCloud > make sure your Apple ID is correct one > then turn ON the items you what restored, right there. Then make sure Cellular Data is ON, and Wi-Fi is ON.

  • How can I recover photos from old iphone icloud backup to new one?

Hello, I had an iPhone 4 which I lost and inside there were some great photos that I want now to recover. In the meanwhile I bought an iPhone5S and I just realized that inside the iCloud backup menu is saying that there is a backup of 3GB of my old iPhone. How can I see if in that backup the photos are there? I have connected my iPhoto App to iCloud but it only finds photos from my new iPhone and not the old one...
    Thanks for your time.

Hi, Tiago, maybe you can get help from data recovery software. Now things get easy now.
As far as I know, there are three ways to recover deleted contacts and photos from iPhone 5 with iPhone Data Recovery.
Way 1: Recover deleted photos from iPhone directly
Way 2: Using iTunes Backup to recover deleted photos
Way 3: Using iCloud Backup to recover deleted photos
You can refer the way 3 of how to recover deleted photos from iPhone to recover photos from  old iPhone iCloud backup.
    Good luck to you.

  • What's bloating my iphone iCloud backup?

Last time I did an iCloud backup it took 2.6 gb but a few days later I tried again and it failed because it thinks the new backup needs 5.4gb to back it up. Where is this bloated figure coming from? I only added one app and it doesn't use much data at all and even taking it off the iCloud list didn't get help. How do I fix this because I feel like its trying to trick me into buying more storage until it says it needs 1tb of storage to backup my iphone :(

Could be a lot of things but I would connect the phone to iTunes and check the usage bar to see how large "Other" (the yellow segment) is.  If it's unusually large, you may need to restore your phone to get it back down to a more reasonable size (be sure to back up your phone before restoring).

  • IPhone iCloud Backup not working anymore

Since April 9, 2012 my iPhone does not backup to iCloud anymore (not automatically nor manually). When I click "Backup Now", it just says "Backing Up... Estimating time remaining..." and it stays like that forever. The progress bar does not move at all. I have plenty of space left for backup, so that should not be the problem. Anybody having the same problem? Any solutions/suggestions you may have are welcome. Thanks!

After connecting to iTunes, I noticed that "Back up to iCloud" was selected (in the middle of the screen on the "Summary" tab, under "Backup"), and "Last backed up to iCloud" reflected the time that I attempted to back up from my phone. Even now, the phone still says "Last Backup: Never," so there is clearly a disconnect. Hopefully Apple will fix this soon.

  • New iphone - icloud backup

    Hi all
I accidentally dropped my Iphone 5c a week ago and smashed the screen. The new replacement phone arrived yesterday. I had backed up to iCloud the night before but when I turned on the new phone with my sim in it, it could only access a back up from 9 months ago or older. I just clicked on the most recent. There were newer back ups but i couldnt click on them, they wouldn't let me use them.
So, my phone isnow up and running but I've lost 9 months worth of apps, photos, messages etc etc. The most recent back up can be seen by clicking on
Settling > iCloud> storage > manage storage> Nicola's Iphone (there are 3 different phones)  - but when i click into one of them, it says latest back up was yesterday. How do I get this back up on to my phone?
Any help is really, really grealty appreciated!

Update your new iPhone to the newest available operating system. (iOS 8.1.2).  You cannot restore a backup from a device that was running a newer version of the iOS than the target device is currently running.

  • HT4859 iPhone/iCloud Backup

I want to backup my iPhone. I was told to delete my old backup to allow iCloud space for the new backup. I don't understand what exactly I am deleting and why I have to delete an old backup. If I backup now, wouldn't the new backup just overlap the old?

It should, although Apple states that iCloud keeps up to your most recent three backups so any changed files from your prior two backups would be retained.
If you need to free up space in your iCloud account, this guide explains different ways to do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847.

  • Is there any way I can recover a deleted Iphone backup from my current Iphone icloud backup

I have deleted an old ios device from my current icloud, can I recover this?

No you cannot recover what you delete from iCloud. Sorry about that.

  • Can I restore an iPhone iCloud backup, to an iPod touch?

I'm almost sure it's possible, but I want to be absolutely sure.
    Thanks!

Yes it's possible. You can restore an iDevice from the backup of another iDevice. I set up my iPod Touch by restoring from a backup of my iPad.
You do need to be running the same iOS on both devices.

  • Can two different itunes accounts share one purchased icloud backup storage?

My husband and I each have an iTunes account, I purchased 25GB of memory for my iPad and iPhone iCloud backup for the year and am only using about 5 of that.  He is out of free iCloud memory for his iPad and iPhone and I would like him to be able to take advantage of what I've purchased.  Is that possible, if so how?

The only way for him to share your iCloud account storage is for him to share you iCloud account.  However, if he does, any data he syncs with the account will be merged with yours and will appear on all your devices.  Also, you would share the same photo stream and iCloud email account.

  • I recently received my new iPhone 4 from my carrier since my old one was stolen. I restored my new iPhone from my old iPhones iCloud back up but now all the pictures that were stored in my old phone are blurry in my new phone. Please help!

Luckily, using the "Find My iPhone" app, I was able to scare the thieves into bringing my iPhone back to the place they stole it from (Dave and Busters..on my BIRTHDAY OF ALL DAYS). So now, $169 later (deductible for replacement iPhone), I have both my 1st iPhone and my replacement. On my first iPhone, I have all of my pictures saved and they are very clear, but when I restored my replacement iPhone from my original iPhones iCloud backup, all the pictures that I took in my original iPhone are blurry! I thought about backing up my original iPhone through iTunes and then resetting my replacement iPhone and restoring it from my original iPhones settings but I dont want to lose all of my new pictures I took. I know this sounds confusing (well, it looks confusing, since you cant actually hear me) but I could use all the help I can get!

I have recently updated my software on the new iPhone and when it backed up it backed up to the old iPhone
No such thing has occurred.  iPhones do not backup to one another.
It is not possible to backup a different iPhone from the one being updated.
If the iPhone was restored with a backup from a different device, restore it again from the correct backup.

Pay attention when restoring the iPhone and select the correct backup to restore from.

  • I currently have an iPhone 5, 16gb. I Do Not want to Loose any photos or albums by deleting them from my phone and not backing them up correctly. My iCloud backup is only storing my "Photo Stream" and I can not locate them in iTunes after I sync/Back up.

I currently have an iPhone 5, 16gb. My storage is almost full on my phone. There are only 80 mg available. I am new to icloud and also have always had trouble navigating around iTunes. (Even after endlessly reading through support and help topics as well as calling)   My concern is about Not Losing any of my photos if I delete them from my phone. I have to delete a large portion of my camera roll as well as the Album Folders I have created. Although it would be great if there was a way to just keep my albums still. I have already backed them up to an external hard-drive, my computer and a geek stick. I'm not trying to be too paranoid about these photos, but, they are all of my 3 children. There are over 4000 pictures stored on my phone. Some photos go back as far as 2009.   Can you offer any information about backing up my Camera Roll, not just "Photo Stream", and albums I've created On my phone? I read that it's good to back photos up on both iTunes as well as icloud. I even purchased extra icloud storage to back them all up.   I do regularly back up/sync, my phone to my computers.   However, I cannot even locate where they are stored on iTunes, let alone look at them. And as far as my iCloud backup, it only stores the new pictures from "Photo Stream".   Please offer any advice you may have. I do not use up a lot of storage on my phone other than Photos and Contacts (it's a work phone).   I would definitely be able to sleep better knowing my children can one day see these pictures of themselves. I appreciate your time. Thank you,

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.
    What computer do you have?

  • I lost my iPhone device, how can I get my data back on another one without using an iCloud backup just back up on i Tunes, Please Help.

I lost my iPhone device, how can I get my data back on another one without using an iCloud backup just back up on i Tunes, Please Help.??

You can find the backup files and then copy them to a safe place if you are worrying about this.
iTunes places the backup files in these places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
    Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.

  • Iphone 6 backup to iCloud not working

Initially I had the issue where my phone was restoring from iCloud for 2 weeks and never finished. I was unable to do the upgrade to 8.1 because of this, so I canceled the restore and tried to do a backup to iCloud. I let it run (Estimating time remaining...) for a long time, like 30 minutes or something. Each time I tried this it would error off saying it couldn't finish the operation. One time it said it was going to take 2 days to complete the backup, but then it errors off as just mentioned. So I did a google search for "iPhone 6 backup to iCloud not working" and found a link to the forums for the incessant restore issue, it said to do a manual backup through iTunes, then immediately do a restore, then do the upgrade to 8.1.
However, I still have the issue of the backup taking forever.
Anyone encounter this issue and find a fix?
    Many thanks.

I suggest you contact Apple Support.

  • I recently updated my Iphone 5s to ios8 from ios7(.something) and lost all photos, text messages, etc. and then restored it using an old Icloud backup from 2014. I want to change the Icloud backup to one from this year.

Is it possible to do this, and how? My iphone 5s is still restoring currently in the Backup settings and there's an option that says "Stop restoring Iphone" if I tap it, it says "any data that has not been downloaded will not be restored or backed up in the future"... AND I KNOW that if I update my iphone from ios7 to ios8 that it is a big jump and is the reason why I lost everything on it. So please don't tell me that is the answer to my question, because it's not. I am clearly asking if I can change the icloud backup date from 2014 to one from this year. This is because my iphone asked me which backup I want to use to restore my stuff from after the ios8 update. I hope this question isn't too confusing!!

  • I cannot delete my old iphone 4 icloud backup. Message: "This backup cannot be deleted as it is in use"

Yesterday, I used my iphone4 icloud backup for my new iphone5. As the wifi connection was unstable I experienced problems. So I backed up my iphone4  on itunes.  I reset my iphone5 and used the itunes backup.  I now cannot delete the iphone4 icloud backup. I have turned off "back up" on both phones.  I have tried deleting iphone4 back up from iphones, ipad & imac with no success. I have read that you need to wait 48 hours as icloud is still backing up? I cannot backup my iphone5 as there is insufficient storage.

You said it was a network drive.  So is someone else on the network using that same file or may have have left with excel still accessing it on their system?
