Iphone ios update 7.1.2 crashed my iphone 5

I tried updating the latest software 7.1.2 It suddenly crashed and I've lost all my photos, apps etc. Plus, these photos were not on the photostream. Not happy at all.
Anyone know how to get my photos back?
Thanks

If one of these programs will not kick the iPod out of recovery mode then you will have to restore via iTunes
For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
or
http://joshuabailey1997.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/recboot-v1-3/
If necessary:
Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
and
RecBoot tip
RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:
Tenorshare ReiBoot – Enter & Exit iPhone, iPad, iPod Recovery Mode with a Single Click
For MAC or PC
The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
Installs blootware on PC too
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Hold down the option (alt) key (shift on Windows) and open iTunes.  At the prompt to create or choose a library choose the copied iTunes folder.

Steps: Fire iTunes from PC, then connect iPhone, did app updates in iTunes, but did not sync with iPhone (the # updates stays the same next to "APP Store").

How to update ios 6 tried wifi  got no access to pc only iphone4s can I get it just using my iphone

There is no iOS update for a 4S beyond the posted. iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.3

  • After iOS 8 update, the mail app crashes on iPhone 4S

I've updated to iOS 8 this afternoon and now the mail app crashes.  It will open the first time after a power off and restart of my 4S but after that first time it will crash every single time I try to open it. I can only reopen it after I've done a full reboot of the phone, and then only once. Is there a quick fix or do I get to wait for an update?

I tried all of the suggested solutions mentioned in this thread, and finally did a full reset according to Apple's instructions, step by step (as an engineer and 40 year computer user I am good at that stuff).
Sorry to say after the several hour process, not one of the problems I have experienced have been solved.
IPad 2 is still running slow and choppy.
Some Apps do not even load.
Website pages will not load and result in error messages. One particularly annoying Safari error on loading a new web page is:  "a problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded".
MY iPad  2 worked perfectly for the last couple of years through several updates that performed seamlessly, but this one and the two most recent corrected updates have rendered my iPad so degraded that I don't think I will be using it much anymore. I originally bought the tablet because of it's smooth GUI and fast performance, the reliability and error free environment, and Apple's proven record for effective updates. That's all gone now.

  • When I'm restore my iphone ios 6.1.3 itunes shows error iphone software update  server is temporary unavailable or can not be contacted

When I'm restore my iphone 4 ios 6.1.3 itunes showed an error you iphone can not be restore at this time because the software update server is not contacted or temporary unavailable.

Probably because the phone was hacked to unlock it. The update has re-locked it. You'll have to contact the carrier it's locked to and see if they will unlock it for you.

  • Updating to 2.1 crashed now iPhone is useless

Updating my original iPhone to 2.1 crashed at some point in the process. Ever since then my phone is stuck on the connect iPhone to iTunes page. Every time I connect it prompts me to update. When I do that I always get "We could not complete our iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-3256)." My iPhone appears in the Devices panel of iTunes, but I can see no info on it. If I try to select it I always get the same message from above. I can't even get to synching, update or restore options.
I tried the emergency call work around mentioned in another post, but I just get call failed with no option to turn off airplane mode. Anyone else have another solution?
I'm on an original iPhone with a Mac PowerBook G4
Any help will be greatly appreciated...I'm desperate.

All is correct on the PB in the BB ID
OK, with the Playbook NOT connected to the PC in any way whatsoever,  in the PC browser go to http://appworld.blackberry.com , sign in with your blackberry ID, go to My World link, The list of apps you own should be there and it will NOT ask for a device ID of any type, so log as you go to the website with a stand-alone PC.
    Are they there??
If not then the BBID is not the right one and you wil have to search your memory for the right one.
If they ARE there then the playbook will need to be wiped and start again with the setup.

  • Huge iphone IOS update eating up my storage. What to do?

Latest upate for ios on iphone is 1.9 gigs -- for a 16 gig phone. is apple kidding me? do i need to put all my music and photos in the cloud? any thoughts are most welcome.

After the install it will replace your current iOS version and will take up no more storage than it is currently using.
As dilbert41 suggest, updating via iTunes downloads the update to your computer then installs it so the extra space, albeit temporary, is not an issue.

  • HT4623 iPhone IOS update

My iPhone settings icon is notifying me of an IOS 7.1 update.  I have tried multiple time to download and install the update.  Each time the process shows almost finished then notifies me that it cannot be completed without further direction.  I have as a minimum 11 GB available, so I'm not sure what the issue is.  Help please.

    Hey patsy643,
Thanks for the question. If you are having issues updating Over The Air (OTA), you can always attempt to update with iTunes:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4623
Make sure your device has enough available space to install the update. Use iTunes to update if you don't have enough space, or remove content from your device. Tap Settings > General > Usage to see how much space your content uses.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • IPhone iOS update times out.

I'm trying to download the updates for my iPhone and iPad2; however the connection is apparently too slow. When it times out, you lose everything and must start the download again from 0. Unlike other downloads like music, the updates will not stop and let you restart from where you left off. I'm on a US military base overseas, and the connection is somewhat slow, and erratic.
Is there a place I can go to download the update file that's trustworthy? Not using the iTunes interface, but just downloading the file and dropping it in the proper folder to update?

The most frequent cause of download timeouts is interference from your antivirus and spyware, which you probably don't have as you are using a Mac. However, the network you are connecting through may be have antivirus protection that is the cause the problem. There are other places to get the download, but they are not authorized by Apple, and there is a risk of gettng a corrupted file. There's also the problem of finding the right version; different iDevices have different installers, even for the same version of iOS.

  • Iphone iOS update 7.1.2 freezing

I have updated my iPhone, iPad and husbands iPad to new 7.1.2 plugging in to my iMac/itunes with no issues.  This morning we plugged in my husband's iPhone and had to delete some apps and videos/pictures to make enough room for the update but did that.   The screen was still updating and taking forever, we finally unplugged it and restarted it again.   Long story short the phone itself now has the iTunes logo and plug in on it.  On the iTunes screen on the iMac that it is plugged into, it just shows iPhone 4S doesn't have his name or anything and just says restart required.
I of course am very scared we will lose all his information.  Is there somewhere to look to know his stuff is somewhere before we click restart (restore backup isn't an option showing.)
Or does anyone else have any other ideas of how to get it to work without doing the above?   I have looked online at other sites for this issue and it appears many people had this problem and a hard reboot not the phone worked.  I have done that three times to no avail.
    Thank you for any help!

There are several types of resets ..
    Did you try ...
Tap > Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

You should be storing all of this on your computer.  Just sync it back to the iPhone.

  • IOS update 8.1.1 broke my iPhone 6 mic

Something in 8.1.1 has broken my iphone 6's microphone.  I had skipped the 8.1 update by the way.  I went from 8.0.X (forgot what one it was) directly to 8.1.1 and now I can no longer use Siri or talk to text or the front video because the microphone is VERY faintly picking up sound in any of those modes.
Apps like the Voice Memo's work perfectly so does the speakerphone when on the phone and so does video when recorded with rear camera.
Do I need to take this to the apple store?
