IPhone/iPad calendar holidays show one day early?

I recently noticed that all of my holidays on my iPad Air and iPhone 5 show one day early.  For example, Christmas shows as being on December 24th.  Every holiday is like this.  I sync with Outlook 2007 and in there are 3 calendars:  "Calendar", "Calendar in iCloud", and "Mobile Calendar in iCloud".  The incorrect holidays are listed under "Calendar in iCloud".  Of course, I can simply uncheck the calendar and the holidays disappear but I'd kind of like them there.  Correctly.  Any suggestions?

FWIW, I have no such problem.....  Of course, I am "plain vanilla" Apple.

  • Ipad calendar events are one day early

    Hello,
I recently switched over to iCloud. And now all-day events are one day early on my iPad only. The dates are fine when I look at iCal on the web, and they're fine on my Mac Pro and my MacBook. I tried resetting the iPad, and it didn't fix it. The time zone is was set to automatic, I tried setting it to manual, but still no change. Any other ideas?
    thanks!
    Joe

All of my dates are out by one day in ical (and address book). I can change them manually (best advice I could get from Apple), but it keeps happening to me. Any help appreciated, I have 10.8.6; macbook pro, iphone 4s and am frustrated. This seems to be a common problem but I can't find a fix.
In the post above advice is to go to itunes, "info tab", Advanced...but I don't see an "info tab" -
    Thanks for any help!

  • Facebook Events showing one day early in calendar iOS6

I recently updated to iOS6 and synced my facebook account with my calendar and contacts.
My problem is that all the facebook events I have joined are showing up as being 1 day earlier than they are on facebook.
Facebook Birthdays are displaying fine, it's just facebook events that are wrong.
Have tried deleting my fb account, turning facebook calendar sync off and on, re-starting my phone, and checked location settings

Since the iPhone is updated and disabling Time Zone Support does not affect the calendar events it, the issue is most likely related to Outlook/Exchange.
That logic seems somewhat flawed. Outlook displays it fine. Exchange displays it fine. Other phones display it fine. iPhone displays it wrong.
To me, issue is most likely related to iPhone?

Did you run into any errors or problems when trying the tips in the Resolution or Additional Information sections of the article you linked above?
No errors, Outlook was already set to my timezone, so I forced it to re-change it to my timezone again. It scanned through my appointments and then gave the message "No appointments, meetings or reminders were found that needed to be moved to the new time zone."

  • "Fix" for Calendar Events displaying one day early

I posted a question about this a couple of weeks ago, but can't find my original post. No way to search by user name, so I gave up looking for it after 10 or so pages. Because there are several others who have posted about the same problem, I decided to start a new discussion describing the fix that worked for me, with help from Apple Tech Support.
Background of my problem: New iPhone 4S, set up as "new phone" -- calendar events synced via MobileMe without any problems. Or so I thought. Discovered a few days later that any "All Day" event was shown on the day prior to the actual event -- US Holidays and Birthdays in particular.  Events with specific start/end times were displaying on the correct day.
Checked these forums and was unable to find a solution, so I made an appointment for the following week with Tech Support to have someone call me. Fred first had me try resetting the phone. Didn't fix it.
Note: Somewhere in our troubleshooting, he had me turn off the Birthday and US Holiday calendars on both the phone and iCal on my computer, then turn them back on and do a sync. This did not correct the event dates. If I remember correctly (I wasn't taking notes), this was before changing any settings in iTunes and didn't fix the problem. However... it *might* have played a part in the final fix, so if the following steps don't fix it for you, try adding in the off/on for the calendars before changing the iTunes sync settings.
    What finally worked :
Changing a setting in iTunes to overwrite the Calendar on my iPhone and doing a Sync (bypassing MobileMe entirely). Here's how to do it.
In iTunes, go to the "Info" tab and scroll down to the Advanced section. There are 5 checkboxes there and selecting one or more will overwrite the corresponding items on the iPhone during the next sync only. He had me check Calendar, then perform a Sync.
That worked!  For US Holidays, but most of the birthdays were still one day off, except ones I'd entered manually in iCal. All of the misplaced birthdays are published by dates I've entered for contacts in Address Book on my Mac.
I went back to iTunes and checked Birthdays in the Advanced area and performed another sync. That overwrote the Birthday calendar on the phone and now all of my Birthdays and US Holidays are showing on the correct days.
Would have been quicker if I had checked Birthdays at the same time as US Holidays, so when you follow the steps, check both Birthdays and Holidays to save yourself some time.
Hope this helps all of you who are having the same problem I was.

  • Birthday calendar on iPad  one day early with iOS5

The birthday calendar shows all birthdays one day early after upgrade to iOS5 on original iPad. I have all the automatic time adjustments and location recognition on. What is wrong?

I have read that this is a bug, here is a fix which has worked for me at least for the time being:
Here is a process that worked for me to correct the information in Calendars re birthdays appearing one day out:
    (1) If your iPad/phone is syncing contacts with iCloud, turn it off. In Settings on your iPad/phone, Mail,Contacts,Calendars, Accounts, iCloud, turn off Contacts.
    (2) sync your iPad/phone to iTunes.
    (3) now select the ‘Info’ tab in iTunes for your iPad/iPhone. Ensure that ‘Sync Address Book Contacts’ is ticked. (You can revert to syncing with iCloud later, after this process is complete.)
    (4) scroll to the very bottom section of the Info tab. Where it says ‘Replace information on this iPad/iPhone’, select ‘Contacts’.
    (5) Sync again.
Now check Calendars on iPad/iPhone, this process ‘fixes’ the information of birth dates and they should now appear correctly.
Thanks to @fortbailey for this. By the way Steff_BKK, is one of your email accounts an Exchange account? (This has been reported as something to do with this bug.)

  • Why do the recurring dates, like birth dates Onmy IPad and my iPhone move one day earlier in2015

Why do the recurring dates, like birth dates on my  IPad and my iPhone move one day earlier in 2015?

I have no idea why that might occur, all the birthdays and a couple tech sessions that I have in mine appear correrct.
Are they birthdays that youy entered to calendar and possibly selected to repaet on 2nd friday of feb?
Not an option if birthday is coming from contacts app, though.

  • Birthdays show up on the calendar one day early.

All of the Birthdays that I loaded in the contacts show up one day early on my calendar.  Has anyone else seen this or does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Have a look at left "More Like This" section.

  • Birthdays on my calendar are one day early

Has anyone had this issue before?  After I switched over to a 4S from a 3G, I noticed that all my contacts' birthdays are showing up one day early on my calendar.  However, when I go to the contact entry in the address book, it displays correctly there.  What's weird about this issue is that both my mac and ipad display birthdays using the same method and it's correct on both of those.  They all sync via mobileme, and running iOS5 and Snow Leopard.
Before erasing my phone's contacts, and trying to resync them, I was wondering if this could be fixed via the phone, or the bug isolated and sent up to Apple's software department.
    Thanks!

dom_99, this worked for me: (thanks to @fortbailey)

  • Birthday showing up on iCal one day earlier?

Hi everybody! I am pretty new here. So I hope someone could assist me.
I have set up my contacts on iPhone 4s with birthday dates. But unfortunately they are
all showing up one day earlier on my iPhone iCal - they do show up correct in the contacts and also
on my iCal of my MacBook.... Any ideas? Much appreciated...

    Hey John
Thanks a bundle, it turned out that was the problem, I was on some kind of pacific time zone,
    Cheers

  • "All-day" events in iCal appear one day early in week-view on iPad

Just got an iPad and synced with iCal. I noticed that "all day" events appear correctly in day-view and month-view, but in week-view, they are shifted one day earlier. But if I choose to edit such an event, the information is still correct, e.g. an all-day event for Monday, May 31 and Tuesday, June 1, has that information, and it appears on Monday and Tuesday in day- and month-view, but in week-view, it has "slid left" such that it appears on Sunday and Monday. Anyone else seeing this? Any solutions?

I have the same issue on all day events synced from Exchange. The items look fine in the day or month view.

After iOS 5 update my iCal shows all my Birthdays one day earlier. Please help. thx

Same issue here.  In searching through Apple Discussions site I see this has been happening for at least 5 years now were b-days can pop up 1 or even 2 days early.  Really Apple?  I am disappoint.

  • IOS 4.2.1 - Calendar alerts *still* one hour early - help?

Upgraded to 4.2.1 in hopes of squashing this bug, but no go. Yes, I have tried all the obvious solutions: manual time, automatic time, making sure time zones are the same for the clock and the calendar prefs. Nothing works. Any advice?
Just to be clear -- this is not an alarm bug, and these events aren't recurring.
While were at it, can we change the naming convention of "on date of event" to "at time of event"? I mean, really... isn't every alarm set at various points throughout a single day "on date of event"?

Last night I updated my iPhone 3GS to the iOS 4.2. Now, the phone shows one hour early. Also the events on iCal on the phone show one hour early. In the mean time, the events on iCal on my Macbook (OS 10.6.5) and on my Mobile Me account show the correct time.
I live in Republic of Panama and we don't keep daylight savings time.
Does anyone now how to fix this?
Is Apple going to fix this?

  • All Day/Recurring Events showing a day early

    Hello,
We recently deployed about 200 iphones and have been noticing that some people are experiencing an issue where only their all day or recurring all day events are showing on day early on their phone, while showing correctly in outlook.
I've done searches on the forums, but have not seen anything that was recent or applied to our situation. We do not allow users to sync to iTunes, and we have checked that time zones are matching.
If anyone has experienced and resolved this, it would be appreciated

jumping in to say i'm having the same problem on my ipad after updating to ios 5, and not only in list view. all recurring all-day events show up as one day early. it's correct on my computer, on my iphone and on mobileme, but wrong on the ipad.
ipad is set to the same timezone as all of the above. any suggestions?

  • All-day iCal events made on iPhone sync to Mac as one day late.

Had this problem a little while now, can't remember what started it, but it hasn't always been like this. I remember first being aware of it near the end of last year because I wondered if the problem might correct itself once 2011 began.
If I create an all-day event on the iPhone calendar, it will sync to the mac's iCal as being one day later. If I enter an event on my phone that's all day, Saturday the 5th of March, it will show up on my computer as Sunday the 6th.
Events which are not "all-day" are completely unaffected.
Both devices are set to the same time zone, with the iPhone having timezone support on and the mac having timezone support off. I've toyed with trying different combinations of these settings but nothing changes. I have to manually drag the mac iCal events one day earlier once they're synced. This fixes it, because it doesn't appear to then bump the iPhone copy of the event any earlier.
But that's a massive pain and I've lost faith in iCal as a timekeeping device. Anything glaringly obvious that I've missed?

I have this problem too. I have an iPhone 4, and this wasn't a problem when I bought the phone back in December. I think it came a month or so later and I suspect with a standard upgrade of something like itunes, or iphone software... but I can't pinpoint it to any specific update as it took me a while to notice it. For me, it does this with my work calendar which is run through Microsoft Outlook. But it's the exact same thing - and it means my calendar isn't reliable anymore.
I've made sure the time-zone settings are correct, I've updated all software, and gone through all possible settings for both my i-phone and Outlook. Nothing fixes the problem, even our tech guy at work didn't know what to do. I know it's not just my phone as the exact same thing has happened with my boss's iPhone which is an iPhone 3G, and it frustrates him to no end.
I'm really hoping someone at apple can tell us what's going on, especially since it never used to do this and there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it. If someone thinks they know what itunes update this was due to, let me know - I'll see if I can go back to that older version.

  • Calendar off by one day

Just noticed today that my Palm Desktop has shifted all of my recurring dates between April and November back one day. Most things, like birthdays, are all off one day during this time frame (every year). It also shifted some non-recurring events back one day. What the heck can cause this. Any ideas? Help!
    Post relates to: Palm m505

I'm having the same issue with event dates on Palm Desktop v4.1 between April and October being changed to one day early.  However, at the fringes, the dates are correct.  For example, events on April 1 and 2 remain OK but one on April 8 was moved to the 7th.  Similarly, an event on October 21st is now on the 20th but one on October 31st is OK.  That would seem to indicate that the period might have to do with when DST used to start and end (I think).  Furthermore, appointment times during this period were advanced one hour.
Events on my Palm IIIxe handheld are all OK but I haven't done a synch since 3/4/07, the week before the new DST change date.  (I never changed the time on the handheld for DST.)  I haven't wanted to do another one, even forcing the handheld to update the desktop, because I've since made changes on the desktop that I'd have to recreate, if I can remember all of them.
I am running Windows XP Pro but am way behind on OS updates so don't believe that would have been the cause in my case.  I manually changed the Windows desktop time on March 11th.  At that time, I forgot to change the setting so that it would not update the time from an online service and I remember I had to change it again when the old DST date came around.  While I can understand how this could have had an impact on calendar times, I don't understand why it would affect dates.
I may be forced to manually fix things on the desktop but would much prefer if there was an easier solution.  Mostly, I'd like to make sure, after doing all that, the problem doesn't repeat itself.
