IPhone is available to work in PUERTO RICO?

I'm interest to buy an iphone to domicile it in P.R. Do it will work properly?. AT&T has already excellent coverage but the stores cannot sold or activate with area code of Puerto Rico. My doubt is that if I can activate it in US and bring it to Puerto Rico, it was working ok?. And if when AT&T could activate numbers with area code 787(PR),if it will be possible to change the number that had of US the PR one that I'm already use?

I activated mine from Oklahoma to use it in PR. There
aren't any long distance/roaming charges since
National plans include PR and US Virgin Islands in
AT&T's coverage area. You can even activate it from
PR provided you have an US address (friend or
family), as soon it is activated you can change the
address back to a local one as I did. However you
won't be able to change the area code to 787 'til the
iPhone is released in the island. Im back in the
island and I'm happy with my 918 area code until
then...tirame un email y hablamos...
Saludos,

However, some features might not work if you're not in one of those countries

  • America's top number one wireless service...does not work in Puerto Rico

Please come back to Puerto Rico. I have been a member for over ten years. I live in Ohio  and will have to relocate to Puerto Rico.  My daughter is enrolled in college to become a school teacher in Puerto Rico. My family plan is not working well in Puerto Rico. I am paying for a family plan, (here in Ohio) and my daughter has two phones in Puerto Rico. They are not working. I had called Verizon Support, and was told that the phones must be mailed back to (Ohio)  me here in the states to be reactivated. Verizon phones cannot be activated in Puerto Rico. I prefer only Verizon, which is why I have not switched to any other provider. But, because Verizon does not have towers or businesses in Puerto Rico, even though we have 4G phones, we now have no service in Puerto Rico.   I am stuck with the choices of AT&T, T-Mobile, or Straight Talk from Wal-Mart, or the WORSE are the wireless and Internet services of Puerto Rico, Claro.. Claro has outages for DAYS and still expect full payment, regardless of how many days lost for service. Claro does not credit your account even if you had an outage for a week; you are still billed for the full month.  It is difficult to avoid this company in Puerto Rico. This is a message to CEO of Verizon...please bring your business back to Puerto Rico. When people asked my daughter what service she uses, they were excited when she said that she uses Verizon. But were disappointed when she said that her account is back in (Ohio) the states, there are no stores here. I have to send (AGAIN) two new phones activated here in the states back to Puerto Rico, so that my daughter can still use our Verizon Family Plan. There is nothing Verizon Support can do.  Once I move to Puerto Rico, there will be no one to send our phones to in (Ohio) the states to reactivate for our Verizon Family Plan. The phone service works for about three or four months, (in Ohio) than there is no service at all. Please bring America's top number wireless service back to Puerto Rico. Or Make some kind of deal with the wireless tower owners in Puerto Rico, so people that even visit Puerto Rico can use your phone service. Thank you for reading my request

Our home line has had no dial tone for two days now.  When a repair was requested, we received a commitment of 8/8.  That timing was not sufficient.  I updated the repair request on line indicating that we needed the repair by today.  I called this morning and a recording told me that Verizon was committed to repair the phone by 8pm tonight.  Well, 9:30pm and no Verizon.  I tried calling with my cell phone and sat on the phone for over 30 minutes.  Either no one was home or it was past business hours.  In any event, here we sit with no home phone service.  We are elderly.  My husband has a heart condition.  I am grateful for our cell phones, not Verizon.  What if we had a real emergency and didn't have cell phones?  This is not customer service.  We never even received a phone call or an email as we requested on the repair status.  So sit another day or maybe more.  Frustrated in NJ.  P.S. Our experience with My Verizon is it sends you round and round and round with no real solution to your problem.  Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • Will my phone work in puerto rico

planning a trip to puerto rico in April wondering if my phone will work?

It would help if you mentioned which phone you have. The info provided by Tanisha is not bad but you will need to know what bands the phone has and if it is compatible with Puerto Rican carriers. They usually operate on different bands.
A really good resource is http://www.willmyphonework.net/
You can plug your device there and choose the country and carrier. It'll tell you if it will work and on which networks (2G, 3G, etc.)

  • Do the Apple TV works in Puerto Rico?

Does the Apple TV work in PR?

It works anywhere in the world, you would need to check your local iTunes store though to see what sort of content is available, movies and tv shows are not available in all locations.

  • HT4528 i have a problem with my iphone 5 of claro company in Puerto Rico

How i need a new iphone

Well I can tell you this like I told someone else one here, I am on my 4th iPhone 5 replacement, I was told that they didn't have anymore models of the iPhone 5, I am waiting for an iPhone 5s which they said would be the upgrade, but the problem is I have to wait until whenever some comes in from backorder, I was given a date of October 31st. I just don't think it's fair that I have to wait, I've talked to several people, and finally was able to talk to someone who is a higher up, will talk to her on tomorrow on what to do.

Hello ned4spd8875. Congrats on going to Puerto Rico! It's one of my favorite travel destinations in the world! To gain a better understanding of what services are available to you, may I ask what make and model device do you have? All of our Verizon Wireless feature phones and smartphones works in Puerto Rico. As budone stated, it's $0.69 per minute for voice calls and text messaging is billed at the standard rate. If you have unlimited texting then there isn't any additional cost to text your fiancee, assuming that she has Verizon Wireless also. If you have a smartphone then you can look into the app store or market for 3rd party apps that works over wi-fi to reduce the cost of voice and data services. I hope that you have a great time on your trip! ^AH

  • Puerto Rico - Chauffer Taxes

    Folks,
We are newly implementing Puerto Rico Payroll, during our findings we found there is no disability taxes for Chauffers. In order to do this, we first need to distinguish employees as Chauffer in master data. we felt we can use 'Person Admin' field from IT1 and access this in the rule UMOT. I am unable to access this field in rule UMOT. OUTWP operation doesn't have input parameter to access the field.
We are not restricted to this field. I want to know if any one has implemented payroll puerto rico how you have classified employees as chauffers in master data and not calculating taxes with out exempting them using IT235. second question is can we use any other operation to access field 'Person Admin' in rule?
    Thanks,
    Rahul

  • Puerto Rico coverage suggestions?

Apparently Puerto Rico is considered a foreign country because the verizon rep I spoke said that I would have to pay for international coverage and also I'd be roaming! ***?
I'm going to Puerto Rico in a couple weeks for a wedding. I will only be there about 4 days or so total. I would like to be able to make and receive calls down there. Checking emails as well as texting or sending photos to friends via text or facebook.
Like I said, the vzw rep made it sound like I would have to pay roaming fees and also pay for texting and just about every other thing that I would be doing down there.
What gives? Any suggestions on the best and cheapest way to be able to use my phone while I'm down there? I can do without sending photos; although I guess I'll have to disable G+ from uploading them automatically. At the very least I'd like to be able to call and also text.
I'm going with my fiancee and it would be nice if I could call or text her when we're separated so we can find each other or setup a time to meet up for dinner or what not.
Thanks in advance for the help!

  • Why doesn't my verizon prepaid phone work in San Juan, Puerto Rico?

I called before my trip and was assured my phone would work no problem. Now when I get here I can only text and receive texts. My phone(Droid Maxx) says roaming 3G and i can't call or use data. Have walked all over San Juan today and no luck. Although my dad was able to call me surprisingly around 3. Other than that though it's been horrible. Please someone help me. My fiance and I would like to use our data to post pics in real time and or use our phones in case of an emergency. She has a prepaid iphone 5 so getting either of these phones to work would be a blessing. Thanks!

  • Puerto Rico: Is it roaming charges if you travel with your iPhone?

I am travelling to puerto rico.
I live in the US and I am wondering if I'll be roaming or not.
    Thx

Talke to ATT twice, to confirm what the 1st agent told me.
    SUBJECT:
    iPhone International Roaming
    FACT:
    Apple iPhone
iPhone users roaming internationally need to be aware of the following:
The unlimited data portion of the iPhone rate plan is limited to domestic use
Data is not unlimited when roaming internationally. When using your service outside the U.S., Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands, international roaming rates apply.
    Decreasing International Data Usage
In order to decrease international data usage, the following options are available to limit automatic or regulated data sessions.
    Disable Email Retrieval
    Tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap the Mail icon.
Tap the first integrated email account.
Slide the email indicator from On to Off .
Click the Mail icon in the upper left hand corner.
Repeat for every integrated email account.
Each account must be turned back on to resume delivery and receipt of email messages.
    Airplane Mode
    Tap Settings.
Slide the Airplane Mode indicator from Off to On.
All voice and data functions of the device are disengaged until this setting is set to Off.
These tips can also help you minimize data usage while roaming internationally:
Utilize WiFi, available in many international hotels, airports, and restaurants to browse the web or check email
Keep Data Roaming "OFF": Be sure to download the Version 1.1.1 upgrade to iPhone. This software update will enable the ability to turn on/off data roaming when traveling outside the U.S . By default, this setting will be in the "OFF" position. The path is: Settings > General > Network > Data Roaming.
Turn off your phone's "auto check" function, and check email manually when needed, using WiFi
Reset the usage tracker to zero when you arrive overseas and monitor your data usage
Consider purchasing an international service plan that includes discounted international data usage. AT&T now offers two discount international data packages. The 20 MB package is $24.99; the 50 MB package is $59.99. See att.com/wirelessinternational for details and international roaming rates.
