You back ip up before it is disabled…
You regularly sync photos to your computer.
How exactly is it “disabled”?

If it's disabled from pass ode lock (as in you forgot the pass ode and put in the wrong one too many times) then the only way to get into the phone is to put it into recovery mode and restore it to factory settings. This will wipe the phone and you will lose all of the data on the phone unless you were syncing with icloud or you have a pre-made backup.

    LOST PASSCODE
You should be able to remove the passcode by restoring the device. Do the following:
    1. Connect the device to the computer to which you normally sync;
    2. Open iTunes (Note: If iTunes prompts you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes" in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212 )
    3. Right-click the device in the left column of  iTunes and select Back up (read this article on how to restore http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 )
    4. When the backup is complete, select Restore
    5. When finished, restore from your most recent backup
To restore read the restore section in this article http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
If that doesn’t work you will need to perform a factory restore to remove it.

my iPhone is disabled how do i factory unlock it without resetting it?

Do you mean you can't enter the right password to unlock it? If so, you should put your iPhone into recovery mode and restore it from an old iTunes backup file:
Step 1. Press the Wake/Sleep button on you iPhone for a few second until the red slider appears. Slide the slider to shut down your iPhone
Step 2. Reconnect your iPhone with your computer via the iPhone USB cable and press and hold the Home button.
Step 3. Do not let go of the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen on iPhone. iTunes will remind of that it has detected a device in Recovery mode. Click OK and restore your iPhone.

  • Going completely computer-free -- how to backup photos?

My sister-in-law, who is not very fluent when it comes to computers and technology, will be going "computer free" soon and buy an iPad mini. (She will get rid of her clunk old Windows machine.) She only does simple email, Skype, and downloads photos from her digital camera to her PC to look at. I think an iPad mini would be great for her.
I know that iCloud backups up almost all of key data, email, etc. The key challenge, though, will be how to backup photos that she takes with her digital camera, uploads to her iPad, and then deletes the photos on her camera (to save space).
I also know that PhotoStream backups up photos taken taken from the iPad. However, I think she could eventually run into these issues:
    1) If she take more than 1000 photos (unlikely, but could happen)
    2) When you import photos using the Camera Connection Kit, the photos do not go into the Camera Roll (they go in the "Last Import" and "All Imported" albums) and thus do not automatically get backed up. You can select the photos and then click Share --> PhotoStream, but she may forget to do this.
I'd like to find a solution that would back up all her photos automatically on her iPad to a cloud service. The closest I could find is the iDrive Photo app, but you have to manually start it each time and select the photos to backup. Dropbox does automatic backup, but only the Camera Roll.
    Anyone have any good ideas?
    Thanks,
    Tony

    5. Email more than 5 photos at one go
    6. Hide photos in passcode protected folder

If it's disabled from entering the wrong passcode too many times, you'll have to restore it to remove the passcode.  If you're running iOS 7, assuming you have Find My iPhone enabled you'll need to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.

  • My iphone is disabled, how do i regain access

my iphone is disabled, how do i regain access

Yes, thank you for this.  I had upgraded the OS and then entered in what I thought was the original passcode but my iPhone did not recognize it.  I entered in what i thought was the correct one, but then got locked out.
I have read this article but I do  not have an  iTunes set up, but I do have  iCloud.
I understand that I can wipe my iPhone but once I do it, will i be able to regain access to my phone?  Does wiping my phone though iCloud permit me to reset my passcode?  I don't remember what my passcode was, so I would need to reset that too.
