"iPhone is not accepting any sim card in Pakistan and showing iphone IS DISABLED"
i have bought an iphone 4 from america and now m in pakistan my iphone 4 not accepting any sim card and if i enter sim card it shows only single signal bar and saying IPHONE IS DISABLED it was working perfectly in america what can i do activate it in pakistan? when i turned it on it said enter pas code i entered that code as 0000 and then it start showing iphone is diabled connect to itunes and than i connected it to itunes but it is not connected in itunes ? plz give me complete solution of this problem so that i will start using my iphone 4g in my country

Im guessing you mean the iPhone 4? anyway ...
Because you brought the phone in America, It will be locked to either the AT&T network, or Verizon. These will ONLY work within the United States, and under no circumstance will they unlock the phone for international use. Unfortunatley, that means you are $500 out of pocket, and have an expensive paperweight to your name. The only way to get an iphone 4 in your country is wait for it to be released, and in the meantime, sell the one you have to someone in America.

If it's locked to a US carrier, you can't use it. None of the US carriers offer unlocking.

I just updated my 3GS from iOS 5.0.0 to 5.0.1
Since the update, Itunes says that no SIM card is detected, and the iPhone says that it cannot be activated. It also obviously does not detect any network.
I tried restarting the phone several times, removing the SIM card several times, but it did not change anything, the SIM is still not detected.You do not need to keep posting the same thing over and over again.
Look to the right side of this page at "more Like this" or do a forum search. -

I bought an iPhone 5 at full retail price from an AT&T store. I requested the phone to be unlocked through their unlock portal. The AT&T unlock system asked for the IMEI number, a copy of my receipt showing that I bougth the phone at "No Commitment" price. A few hours later I received a message from AT&T stating that the unlock request was approved. I then followed the instructions to back up the phone and restore it through Itunes. The phone activates normally with the AT&T SIM card. But when I insert my VODAFONE SIM I get the massage "THE SIM CARD... etc.
I tried again to back up & restore the phone 3 or 4 times, no success. I have also allowed 24 hours for the unlock process to complete. Still no luck.
I have checked again on the AT&T Unlock Status portal and it shows "Unlock approved".
Where is the issue here? Do I have to call Apple or return the phone to AT&T and get the unlocked phone through the Apple Store?

There are three possibilities:
1. Your phone is locked to a different carrier and will not work with any SIM card except those from that carrier.
2. Your new card is from a carrier not supported by the iPhone.
3. Your new SIM card is defective.
In order to determine which is the right answer you could try a different sim from the same carrier or try your new card on a different iPhone. Also check to make sure your new carrier is a supported carrier. -

Is the card registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? replacement SIM card.It appears that you have an iPhone that is locked to a carrier other than the one you were using. Now that you have tried to update the iOS, it has relocked. That is what happens if you are using a phone that has been hacked to unlock. You have also forfeited support from Apple and from this forum.

what is the solution for above questions....................Chiming in from the US, it seems that a lot more of us are having this issue as well lately. My iPad has worked well under 3 OSs and I have never seen that NO SIM message until this week. I am running iOS 5 since it was released, but have not yet upgraded to iOS 5.0.1, and all of a sudden, I see that NO SIM message pretty much all the time.
I have never removed my SIM or had any trouble with 3G before this week. It's not a big problem for me since I don't use it very often at all - not even on a data plan now - but it's annoying and not what I paid for. And if it happens to my wife, she'll be in trouble.
Apple folks, has there been any official acknoeldgement for this issue, and has it been properly elevated so it will be addressed? There are quite a few threads on this out there. -
