IPhone is telling me to move mobileme to icloud

When I sign into icloud on my iphone 4, it keeps kicking me and telling me to move my mobileme acount to icloud. When I go to mobile me, there's nothing there saying how to move to iCloud.

On your computer go to www.me.com/move
Follow the steps once everything is done then
You can set up iCloud on your phone.
Because a lot of people are logging on it
may take a few tries. Hope this helps

If she deletes your account, any photos in your photostream album will be removed from her device, her own photos in camera roll or other albums will not. If there are any photos in your photostream album she wants, there are 2 options available to her:
Copy those photos to her camera roll before deleting your account.
Create a shared photostream album yourself and share it with her.

You're not going to be able to: you can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your ex-MobileMe email address (which is also an Apple ID) for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

I don't have my contacts, calendar, etc. on iCloud, how do I move them from MobileMe to iCloud?

I had a MobileMe account. Now I have iCloud. But my contacts and calendar aren't synced on iCloud, I only have 1 contact, myself. Why isn't the account moving? I went to www.me.com/move , but it takes me to find my iPhone sign in, then I can get to iCloud from there, but i can't see a way to sync or move my old mobileMe account to the new iCloud.

I think I may have it....I signed on to my old mobileme account from my pc, i have a pc, iphone, and a mac....then i see the option to move it to icloud, I hope this works lol...thanks

Cannot move my wifes Apple ID from MobileMe to iCloud

Can anyone please help me?
I have moved my AppleID to iCloud successfully, but my wifes email address and AppleID was a secondary address on my family MobileMe account. When I try and sign in to the iCloud as her, a pop up box says "To sign in, move this MobileMe account to iCloud"
When I click "Get Started", it take me to the MobileMe sign on screen. When I try to sign on with her ID, it says in another pop up box "Yoyr MobileMe subscription has ended and can't be renewed. This Apple ID can still be used for other services."
What have I done wrong? All I want to do is register my wifes Apple ID on iCloud so she can use it with her iPhone and iPad, continue to get email and keep our calendars synced together.

I am concerned about the same thing.
"Secondary" email acct (paid) is the wife's.
I can apparently move MMe to iCloud from either device, but I don't know if I should try again from the new iPad, or from the SnowLeopard machine to keep the additional emails flowing.

Couldn't move MobileMe mail to iCloud this afternoon

I just tried to do the official move from MobileMe to iCloud (having received my new MacBook Pro with Lion) and the me.com/move site keeps sending me to the Find my iPhone feature. I was just chatting with an Apple expert about it and he could not figure out the problem, but as there are a series of complaints today (March 18) about iCloud, it appears something's up with their servers. FYI. Thank goodness I didn't wait until the June 30 deadline to move my mail.

FYI, it turns out my trouble moving from MM to iCloud was not related to any server troubles. It was because I had two different Apple IDs -- one for MobileMe and one for iTunes/now iCloud. Once I figured out the different passwords, I was able to move MobileMe over to iCloud with really no problem. So I have two iCloud accounts, essentially.
This appears to be pretty common with people having set up iTunes separately before ever dealing with MobileMe. I just use certain things on one iCloud account -- mail -- and other things on the other -- iTunes, calendar, PhotoStream, etc.

Missed mobileMe to Icloud Move and now no Contacts

Hi, I am not a techwise person and missed the mobileMe to Icloud move.
Since my Iphone stated giving me problems with my mobileme account and I didn't know why, I deleted it. All my contacts are gone now.
After I did it I tryed to restore it and it did not work, obviusly.
I do not sync my Iphone with my mac at all, going mostly on wifi.
Please I need the contacts from my mobileMe account restored. I already created an Icloud account under the same name, for I thought Apple would take my contacts there, but they didn't.
Any help will be great.

It's a bad idea to post your email address - it's an invitation to spam - and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
When syncing contacts with MobileMe the contacts remained on your computer (unlike the calendar) though I imagine the iPhone read them from the server.
When you stopped using MobileMe I would have expected the contacts to remain on your Mac - presumably you've checked for that. If they are not on your Mac or other devices then they are gone: all data on MobileMe has been deleted and is not recoverable by any means.

Read another post in the forum about this and it appears this app also installs a profile with a proxy service that you will have to try and delete as well. Check that out.

How to move MobileMe Account to iCloud?

I tried logging in my iCloud account and got this message:
"Go to me.com on your computer to move your information to iCloud". PRESS "OK"
I did that by going to my pc and logged into www.me.com but somehow can't configure how to move MobileMe account to ICloud. Rather i don't understand this Terrm.

Well, seems I managed to unscrew this...I deleted my iCloud mail account and reinstalled it on my phone. That got rid of the duplicate .me/.mac email accounts.

IPhone Contacts & Calendars not syncing with mobileme

Apologies if there is a solution to this posted already, I can't find it despite extensive searching!
My iPhone Calendars & Contacts do not sync with MobileMe. I can't find a way of exporting or saving the data on the iPhone and importing it into my desktop iCal & Contacts apps.
I have looked at all troubleshooting help I can find, and all is suggested is deleting/ resetting the phone & syncing from MobileMe. However, if I do this I will lose lots of contacts & calendar entries.
The data will NOT sync from my phone despite following all available instructions. My desktop apps are all set to sync with MobileMe & this works fine, it's just the iPhone data will not transfer to MobileMe.
Please help!!

Since you are syncing your iPhone with your Mac, it should be syncing your contacts and calendars with your Mac as well (and your bookmarks if you have it set up to sync). You should have Mobile Me setup on your Mac to at least sync your Calendars and Contacts, which should be updating your Mobile Me account. If you want to check to make sure that all of your contacts that are on your iPhone are on your Mac, simply open up the Contacts App. Once you check this, add your Mobile Me account to your iPhone and let it sync your contacts and calendars, it will delete all the contacts and calendars that are currently on your iPhone, but the same data is on your Mac anyways. Once Mobile Me syncs with your iPhone you won't have to worry about it anymore.
If you are having problems where you already setup your Mobile Me account on your iPhone and it's not syncing properly, deleted it, restart your iPhone, then add it again.

Drag and drop only works if "Manually manage music" is selected on the summary tab in iTunes.
Instead, use the Music tab and playlists to manage what content is on the device as described in the User's Guide.

How do I get iPhone to store deleted messages in MobileMe trash?

Here's the scenario: I have a Mac Pro, MacBook and iPhone 4. I use IMAP MobileMe with Mail.app for email while at home, and while I'm away and don't have my MacBook with me, I use the MobileMe web interface. I want all of my deleted messages from these different sources to end up in the same Trash mailbox on the server. I thought I had all of my devices set up to do that, but what's happening now is that when I delete a message from the iPhone, it goes into a folder called "Deleted Messages" in my MobileMe folders list.
On my Macs I have "Store deleted messages on server" checked, and "Erase deleted messages" set to "never". On my iPhone I've set the trash to "On the Server > Deleted Messages (.Mac)". This description appears next to the trash can icon, which I assumed would be where my deleted messages from Mail.app are going. But this doesn't seem to be the case.
Any ideas?

I haven't tried this, but browsing in private browsing (Tools > Start Private Browsing) while doing will probably keep Firefox from storing which sites you visited. Clearing the last hour's history will probably do the trick too.

Is calendar syncing enabled on both the computer and the phone.
Are your calendars in your iCloud group and not in a on my mac group.
only calendars in the iCloud group will sync.

I am unable to play videos in iPhoto that I took on my iPhone. They are in .mov format, but when I double click on them, per the help instructions, nothing happens.

You can't play movies in iPhoto. But, you can in quicktime, which is installed along with the OS. Just double click on the .mov file and quicktme should start.
