IPhone & iTunes both had to be restored - how to get music & apps back?
My iPhone and computer both crashed on the same day and I had to restore both. I lost all of my apps & music and there is no back up. Is there any way to get my apps & music back without purchasing everything again? iTunes clearly has a record of my purchases, so I would think there's some way to do this, but I just don't know how.
Any help?
Log into the iTunes Store with the same account you initially used, click the Buy button for each application again, and confirm you want to redownload it for free. For the music, click here and fill out the form.

Sign-in to your iTunes Store account (Store menu > View my account).
At the bottom of the Account Information page is a Reset box to click to reset all warnings for buying and downloading. Click the "Done" button when you're finished. -

Thank you from San José del Cabo MéxicoNormally when you connect a new iPhone to your computer iTunes will recognize it as a new iPhone and ask you how would you like to set it up. If you didn't get that screen then you may have used the iPhone prior. If it didn't then try deleting all data then connect the iPhone 4 to the computer and it should go to the iPhone setup screen where it will give you the opportunity to setup your iPhone as a new device (the name of your old iPhone should be in the name box). If that don't happen then do this, keep your iPhone connected to the computer, launch iTunes then click on the iPhone icon in the left window then click on the app tab on the main window make sure all of the app have a check in the check box, also check all of your other tabs then re-sync.

How to get my apps back on my phone
this may be a dumb question so i apologize in advance...i had to update my phone and lost all of my apps (off my phone but still in itunes on computer). i downloaded the ones i wanted off my computer to the cloud but can't figure out how to get them bacl on my phone.
Have you tried syncing them back in itunes?
You can try this go to the appstore on your phone - update - purchase - all/not on this phone - look and see if your apps are there if they are then select the app that you want by clicking on the cloud next to it. -
Lost some apps after syncing/restoring, how to get lost data back?
I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?It's still listed there, dated around 5 hours before I updated. I right-clicked on my iPhone and chose "Restore from backup" and they still weren't there.
Most of the apps that I lost were downloaded within the last 6 months, but the apps that remained contained data that are up to date (to just before the update).
In other words, half of my apps are up to date while the rest are completely missing their data. -
How to get deleted app back onto iPhone
I have a purchased app that installed on my iPhone. I then deleted the app from my iPhone. I'd like the app to install back onto my phone. However, when I sync, the app never installs. Is there something else I need to do?
Go back to what Chris CA said a few posts above. With the iPhone synced to iTunes, select the iPhone along the LH side on the iTunes window. Once selected you'll see it's context screens in the main window. One of the tabs is labeled "Applications". Go to that tab and check to see if the App you're missing is "check marked" to sync.

All iTunes content on your iPhone including 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer. If not, you'll need to re-download each app one by one.

plug in your phoneand when it shows up hit restore. then restore from your most recent sync backup. that should put you right. if it doesn't then restore from the one previous to the last.

Hello all! (i have a iPod 4G)
So, i had a few problems getting on safari and stuff, then my friend told me to downgrade to iOS 4.2 Instead of 4.3...
So i made a backup of my ipod, and then i had to install the new iOS, so i't deleted my whole iPod, and made it factory settings and stuff..... I had over 280 app's, with 50 of them bought...
Do any of you, have ANY idea on how i get my apps back? - It dident work when i tried to restore my backup file for iPod.
And i really don't wanna loose my 50 bought apps :/Not entirely sure how it works. I mean Apple does keep a record of Apps you've downloaded, whether they were free or not - but I'm not sure if they'll charge you for it.
I would download one of the previously free Apps you wanted and check your credit card statement. If it doesn't show up, you're good to go. If they charge you for it, you might be out of luck. -
I had a 4th generation ipod touch that i bought apps on through the app store, but it broke so i bought another but now i cant figure out how to get the apps back.
I tried going to the app store, then to purchased (using the same account) but in the end it fails to download.
I never thought to transfer purchases through i tunes because i never saw that option until i went looking for a way how to get my apps.

My iphone 5 broke so had to get a sim card and put it in my husbands old iphone 4. i can not figure out how to get my imformation on this his old phone; contacts, apps ect. i have switched my icloud account and apple id on the phone but nothing has changed. please HELP!
You do a restore as new to wipe the iPhone then at the end of restore you will be asked to restore from backup. Choose your iPhone backup.
Note you cannot restore an IOS newer than the IOS on iPhone, you need to update iPhone first. -
