IPhone + iTunes + installing iQuiz - HELP

This is probably a really lame question, but gimme a break, I'm a Windows user.
I've had iTunes installed and in use on my computer for some time. Yes, I update it automatically. I purchased an iPhone this week and have thus far not had any problems sync'ing my iTunes songs, videos, podcasts, etc. HOWEVER
I purchased iQuiz on iTunes (a whopping $.99) and want to install it on my iPhone. Whenever my phone syncs it doesn't upload/install iQuiz.
I'm either completely stupid (i.e. I bought a game that won't work on an iPhone) or just really missing out on understanding how to install applications/games purchased from iTunes.
Help?
http://www.krississippi.com

That's what I was afraid of! At least it only cost ninty-nine cents!! I'll keep it in case it will work with the new update(s) everyone is telling me about.

Where does my PC/itunes store the pics and vid on from my iPhone?
I haven't sound this file/location, so I thought when I restored/activated iphone 4 it would not have these, but it does, all 1600+.
*So where are these on my computer?*
*If i delete a pic/vid from my iphone itself, will it delete it from the computer, whereby its gone forever? Or would it add it back on at next sync?*
*Can I individually delete items from the computer and on a sync it will delete them from the phone?*
*Any settings from this? I thought i remember a "pictures" tab in itunes before...wheres that at now?*

It is in the backup in the iTunes folder

If you delete it from your camera roll, it will be removed from the backup (therefore the computer) and will be gone forever. For pictures and videos taken with the iPhone, you should import them from the phone to your PC (using scanner and camera wizard, for example) and back them up to removable media for safety.
*Can I individually delete items from the computer and on a sync it will delete them from the phone?*
You cannot delete individual photos from your iPhone backup as the photos are not stored in a format that would allow you to see the individual photos.
*Any settings from this? I thought i remember a "pictures" tab in itunes before...wheres that at now?*
I think you are confusing photos with the Camera Roll. Photos stored on your computer can be synched to the iphone for viewing. The actual jpeg is not synched to the phone; rather a low resolution image suitable for viewing on the iPhone. These photos are NOT backed up as the originals already reside already on your computer. Photos/vids taken BY the iPhone reside in your camera roll. They ARE backed up during an iphone backup. But as I said, you should import them onto your computer and back them up to removable media for safety.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi, Mommacat26.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This usually means that a required component is missing.  Start with completely uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below.  Once this is done, download and install iTunes.

I upgraded my 3gs to the iOS5 software, but it keeps telling me on my iphone and my itunes that it cannot activate my iphone! Then my iTunes said there is no SIM card installed. HELP! I can't seem to even restore, which is what I was told to do by the Apple Store.

    Hi there,
if your phone has ever been replaced by Apple (within or outside of warranty), have Apple check their records to which carrier your iPhone (its IMEI number) is currently locked to.
If it is locked to any other than the carrier you have your SIM-card from, ask the folks at Apple to have your phone's lock adjusted to your carrier. Once that is done, there is a good chance that your phone will work again.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris

Kilted Tim is correct, did you plug it in to iTunes to complete the process?  I assumed you would have done so, but I shouldn't have assumed.

  • I had itunes installed on a notebook, then installed on my new notebook and now all my music has disappeared off my iphone 5. ANd when i tried updating itunes on old notebook it didn't install. Help

I had itunes installed on my old ACer and went to install itunes on my new HP. It has removed all my music from my phone.and when I tried earlier to update itunes on old acer it wouldn't install properly.
    help.

While that may work9I do not think it will) with iTunes purchased music it will not work for other music.
    - Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
    - For other music you will need a third-party program like one of those discussed here.

  • My iphone will not sync to itunes. It will connect to the computer but will not show up anywhere in itunes. PLEASE HELP!!

My iphone will not sync to itunes. It will connect to the computer but will not show up anywhere in itunes. PLEASE HELP!!

    Hey there Kellee,
It sounds like the device drivers for your iPhone are working in Windows, but the phone is not showing in iTunes. You should be able to get that showing again with the steps in this article:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538
Start with these three steps, and there are more in the article if you need them.
    1. Update iTunes
Check that you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. In iTunes, select "Check for updates" in the Help menu.
    2. Check the USB cable
Verify that the 30-pin to USB cable or Lightning Connector to USB cable is free of debris and not damaged. If another cable is available, test with that cable instead.
USB cables that are bundled with third-party products or accessories might support only charging those products (and not transmitting data) or they might work only with the product with which they were sold. Using one of these cables to sync could cause issues. If you are using a third-party case, such as an extended battery pack, try removing the case and connecting the Apple-supplied USB cable directly to your device.
    3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
iOS devices require Apple Mobile Device Support, which should be automatically installed with iTunes. To verify whether it is installed, follow the steps appropriate for your Windows operating system below.
Windows XP: Click Start and choose Control Panel. Open the "Add or Remove Programs" control panel and verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is visible in the list of currently installed programs.
Windows Vista and Windows 7: Click Start and choose Control Panel. Click "Uninstall a program" (or if using Windows Vista's Classic View of the Control Panel, click "Programs and Features"). Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is visible in the list of currently installed programs.
Windows 8: Move the cursor to the upper right corner, click the magnifying glass, type Control Panel, and press Return. Click "Uninstall a program". Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is visible in the list of currently installed programs.
If Apple Mobile Device Support is not listed, remove iTunes, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, Apple Application Support, and then reinstall iTunes. Follow the steps appropriate for your Windows operating system below:
    Reinstall iTunes for Windows XP
Reinstall iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
If after reinstalling iTunes Apple Mobile Device Support is still not installed, follow steps in Trouble installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

  • ITunes store wont open after upgrade & iphone wont upgrade! Help!

I upgraded to newest version of iTunes yesterday when prompted. (windows 7)
iTunes now wont access the store.
I uninstalled everything and re installed it with latest version ans still wont access store.
Existing tunes are playing but taking ages to play!
I also tried to upgrade iphone too and it went to backing up the iphone and just jammed, I left it for a good time but it just stopped responding.
    HELP!!!!
    Thanks

Well I don't know what "tried everything possible" means!
top fixes for a new iTunes install/upgrade are
    - turning off security software such as Norton before the install as Apple suggests
    - installing QuickTime standalone, not regular
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone.html
    - setting up Norton to allow iTunes
    - scanning for malware with ewido (Free at www.ewido.net/en/)
    - last but not least, using MSCONFIG to find Windows conflicts

  • System problems after installing iphone & itunes

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed a weird problem with their computers after installing the iphone & itunes.
Up untill i got the iphone, my computer was working fine. Now about every 15 - 30 mins, i get a few seconds of static sound from my speakers, and my monitor flashes in a way i can only describe as static on a tv screen.
i've been trying to figure out what the problem is, and thought it was just my copy of windows xp, then i noticed that every so often, my iphone will buzz either right before or right after the static hits my computer. I've also seen the same thing on another computer running windows vista, so at this point, i don't think it's the computer, and the issue never occured before installing the iphone.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot what is causing this, (or at the very least stop the static sound from the speakers so that it does not interfere with my music).
Any help would be appriciated, this is currently the biggest problem i have with the iphone.
    thanks,
    r.

Hi - yep, it's your phone causing the problem. But this isn't unique to iPhones, many (most?) cell phones will create this problem when placed near certain other electronic devices. I haven't been able to put my cell phone on my nightstand for years because it makes the radio/alarm clock buzz.
I don't happen to have problems with my iPhone near my computer screen or speakers, but it makes my alarm clocks and my cordless home telephones buzz like you described.
I believe the cell phone is essentially connecting to the mother ship to establish a signal! Like I said, this isn't unique to the iPhone. Just move it away from your screen/speakers and you'll have fixed your problem

  • Iphone Stuck on USB Plug-- Itunes icon. Help!

I need help. My Iphone is stuck on the USB Plug-->Itunes icon, i can turn it off, but when i turn it back on it shows the apple logo, and then goes straight to the plug in to iTunes icon. This happened after i set to install the newest updated software for my iPhone, i left my computer for a few hours, figuring iTunes would automatically download and install it properly, and i come back and its stuck at the above^^.
I tried DFU mode and it doesn't seem to do anything, and i have the latest version of iTunes.
    Any help appreciated!

    Hi,
Please note: DFU mode is different than recovery mode. DFU is an even deep-level boot mode, no OS or any visual thing is loaded, so your device's screen will be black. It's not easy to guess whether it is in DFU mode or is it turned off. But don't worry. Just follow the steps I provided below and iTunes would do the rest
    To enter DFU mode:
    1) Connect your iPhone to your computer.
    2) Turn iPhone off.
    3) Hold power and home together for 10 seconds (exactly).
    4) Release power but keep holding home until iTunes detect your iPhone
    5) Once iTunes detected your phone, it will display the following alert:
"iTunes has detected a phone in recovery or DFU mode and it needs to be restored."
    6) Now, just click OK and restore your phone.
PS. I'm not sure why did your phone get into Recovery Mode (the "Connect to iTunes" warning) but DFU should help.
PSS. don't leave your phone alone while you are upgrading the firmware. Just to make sure everyting is all right
