IPhone keeps freezing up and then deleting all my contacts

Shortly after I got my iPhone THIS year only 5 months ago. It has been freezing up on me and booting me out of apps. First it was my Facebook app, then my pictures, then my settings and then ultimately my messages. I end up having to cut my phone of by sliding the power button off. But when I go to turn it back on, ALL my contacts are deleted! This has happened once before and now again. I have version 5.0.1 and have heard of others with different versions doing the same thing. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Lacmoser, let's get your Droid X2 to work as it should. As B33 mentioned, clearing the system cache can help a lot of issues. This should not erase any data, but it is still safe to make sure your info is backed up first. To clear system cache:
• Power the phone off
• Power On while holding down the Home key
• When exclamation point icon appears press BOTH volume keys
• Use volume keys to navigate to "wipe cache partition" and tap the power button to select
• Wait for it to finish and select reboot system
If no change, we may need to check to see if specific applications are causing this issue. Boot your phone into safe mode http://vz.to/17LHsYg for awhile to test if this issue is still occurring. Safe mode disables third party apps. If this issue is no longer happening in safe mode, then try removing some recently installed applications.

It sounds like she deleted them all from your icloud account. If you have an iTunes backup, try this to possible recover your deleted contacts. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4108
If that doesn't work, you might be stuck as Apple doesn't usually have a backup plan for intentional user deletion. You can try to call Apple though and see if there is anything else they can do to try and recover that deleted info for you.

One option is to turn on iCloud Photo Library on the phone and go to Settings > iCloud > Photos and turn on "Optimize iPhone Storage." Then you don't delete the photo from the phone but it does occupy significantly less space. More information in iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support

Thanks for the feedback, the question is that it will syn all the folders that I have checked, and its total up to 6000 photos which was taking me one whole day to syn. I am seeking is there away that what have already in my Iphone will not be delected if I did not checked on the next syn, and only add in the new album that was checked.

You should have been syncing your contacts to your computer regularly. Just sync them back ot the iphone from your computer.

There is generally a misundersting this area
there is no such thing as as a factory unlocked iPhone
there is an iPhone which has not been carrier lock as has
been available outside the US from day one
there is no evidence in OP that he purchased NOT locked from Apple

yes there is ways to delete the requests in one time.
1) Note the bad request number
2) Go to SE16
3) Open table RSODSACTREQ. Filter the contents by that request number . There will be entries for that request . Delete that entries.
OR
4. Open table RSICCONT. There will be one entry for that request . Delete that entry
OR
5. Open Table RSMONICDP. Filter the contents by that request number . There will be 3-4 entries for that request depending on number of data packages in that request .Delete all those entries

The iPhone does not store ANY information on the SIM card. If they were truly on the SIM, re-import them from the SIM.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Import SIM Contacts.

Deleted icloud from my iphone and it deleted all my contacts, calendar events etc etc. i then stupidly i think synced my phone. I want to back up from computer to phone to see if I can restore contacts - can someone tell me step by step how to do this?

All sorted! dont suppose you know how to fix another problem I have??? for weeks now, since updating to ios5 I think, for some reason every time I have tried to log onto app store it says CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES STORE. It's nothing to do with my computer, and I've been to the Geniius bar but they couldnt help and nothing I seem to do lets me update my Apps and even worse, I cant even buy any more. Any suggestions?

I have over 3000 photos on my iPhone that I want to sync with/copy to my computer and then delete off of my phone to make more storage available. I have attempted to open iTunes and sync but it only completed the most recent 150 that I have taken. Any recommendations? I have a PC. Thanks so much!

Thank you for the quick reply. I already attempted this. the only pictures and videos that it prompts me to import/upload are the new ones, which was approximately 150. The remainder are not being read or being asked to import. that's the issue.

It looks like you didn't do a backup of of the device just before upgrading the iOS. Have you ever make an icloud backup or one through iTunes? If so, reset the device and restore from the backup. If you currently have photos on the device, be sure to first sync them to a computer, otherwise a restore will very likely not return the photos, even though it should.
