IPhone keeps playing and pausing on its own unless its locked!?

Hello everyone.
I have had a host of problems with my iPhone since I got it, but this is just one I can't ignore any longer. It just starts playing music, randomly, without prompt or instruction. Then it pauses from time to time. If I'm playing music without the phone being locked, it frequently pauses for a time, then starts again randomly.
Has anyone else experienced this problem before? Any suggestions?
The second problem, and this is one I've literally just started experiencing, is that it keeps fast-forwarding/skipping THROUGH songs - I don't mean jumping from one song to the next, but actually jumping about twenty seconds or so through the song, for a bout a second, then continuing to so until the song is over. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd like to think it's bad files, but this isn't the case - songs I've bought off iTunes are doing it as well, for no good reason. And this began minutes after I had just backed-up and restored and updated my phone. I'm clueless! And frustrated...

is this happening while you have the headphones plugged in? if so, you have either a bad set of headphones or a bad headset jack. the headphones can be replaced at the apple store or through the web (sorry, but i can't find the link i used to do it a few months ago). a bad headset jack probably has to be fixed by replacing the phone at an apple store. you might be able to do the headset replacement by calling apple.

I'm not familiar with the Belkin cover, but you could try removing the cover and reboot the iPad and see how that goes.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

HTML5/quicktime player plays and pauses several times a second

We've been getting some weird entries in our statistics logging on our streaming media system, and I've managed to not-so-much recreate the problem as be around when it occurs.
Playing about with the interface (scrubbing quickly, then playing/pausing repeatedly, etc) doesn't seem to trigger the problem - it just seems to happen occasionally after a few minutes of a player being open in full-screen mode.
The actual symptoms are the the stream suddenly starts pausing and playing incredibly quickly - upwards of 10 times a second - and you can see the play and pause buttons swapping incredibly quickly. We're not getting this problem with any other of our players, and we're using the iPad's built-in player, not our own HTML5 player, although I'm still not entirely convinced it isn't a bug with our servers.
The stream also seems to start looping, and as soon as it reaches the end of the stream it starts again, which is making me wonder if it's a bug with the UI itself, as if the play and pause buttons are getting triggered constantly, but changing the rotation doesn't stop it happening. I also wondered if it was something silly, like someone sneezing on the screen and the moisture triggering the touch screen, but that doesn't seem to be the problem either.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour before? I don't seem to be able to directly trigger it - it just seems to happen occasionally.
I'm trying to get a video of the symptoms, but it's not playing ball at the moment. If I can get it to do it again, I'll add a video example in a later post/edit.

Play and Pause button

Hello,
Because my playbar is disabled due to my pretest within my file I dont have a play and pause button.
i have created 2 buttons. One to pause the program and the other to play.
The problem is, once I click on the pause button, then on the play, then on the pause again - the pause button is disabled. in other words, i am only ever able to click on either one of the buttons once.
I have the 'infinite' button checked but i am still not sure why its not working.

You didn't tell how you trigger pause/play with those 'buttons' - since you are on CP6 or later, use shape buttons that can be put on the master slides or timed for the rest of the project.

For the two soundchannel sounds you have, you will need to keep track if and which one is playing so that you can use some logic to stop the sound right after you mark where the sound was (position) so that you can resume playing it again when the play button is selected.
So if the stroke sound is started, you could assign a boolean variable named something like 'strokeplaying' to be true (setting the other sounds similar boolean false). Then, in your pause function you would test to see if strokeplaying is true and if it is, store the position property and stop the channel playing.
When play is selected, similarly, you test if that sound is true and if so you restart it using the position value you stored as the starting point. You do the same for the other sound... remembering that it is possible neither is playing when pause it clicked.

- Try cleaning out the headphone jack in the iPod.

If yu still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem, likely a bad headphone jack. Yu can make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to confirm.

That is priceless!!! Thanks! I sure needed a good laugh after spending/wasting hours & days trying to either get my c6280 to give up on its Ink System Failure fixation, or find a decent replacement. Unfortunately I need the Smart Web Printing feature that I guess only HP has, or I'd try a different brand. And now even HP has very few models with that available.
My error msg is a little different from those previously stated, but close: 0xc18a0201. Even tho there were frustrations with my c6280, I did like several of its unique features which are hard to find now under $100. I hate how HP (& I suppose other brands also) are CONSTANTLY changing models & then of course ink cartridges.
Oh heavens, I've had the c6280 a whopping 2 1/2 years! I'm sure they want us poor slobs to have to buy a new one every year & a day! To say nothing of the exorbitant prices for ink. And now if this one is really dead in the water, I have SIX unused #02 ink cartridges which I cannot return---I got them in a combo pack, & for some reason have wound up with THREE lite pink & THREE lite blue cartridges, while having to buy extras of the other colors, that ran out before the others!!! Yeah, & what's with that not being able to print in BLACK if a color runs out????

absolutely that is frustrating. if the battery life is fine there could be two things software or hardware. to find out if your back up your information in itunes and import pictures and then restore the phone as NEW then you can test it out. if it is still shutting off it is hardware related

Try resetting the PRAM (if you are able to do so).
Otherwise, I would take it in for diagnosis.

If you have not, prove me wrong.
Physically connect the ATV via Ethernet.
Stream content from a computer via HomeSharing or from one of the Apps on the ATV. Does the stuttering and buffering continue?
