IPhone keeps restarting. Tried everything.

My iPhone keeps restarting randomly. At first it would do it and come back to normal. Almost like a soft restart. Sometimes I had to restart it myself.
But now, it just keeps restarting and even when I do a reset it doesn't work. It's so bad that it won't show up in iTunes and as I'm writing this it's just plugged in to my computer and continually restarting by itself.
Basically my phone is a brick.
Any ideas before I go to the Apple store. It's about a 40 minute drive for me so don't want to if I don't have to.

  • Iphone keep restarting after 60 seconds

I need help for iphone keep restarting after 60 seconds, when I update ios 5.0.1 (9A405), how to overcome these problems

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it back to factory settings would be the next step:

  • Why my iphone keep restarting

    Why my Iphone keep restarting?

I have experienced the problem related to Safari. I sometimes do not lift my fingers hight enough off the screen, i.e., I drag rather than lift and move and when I do that I somehow set something into action that sends Safari to home. Being more careful on that issue has reduced the return to Safari home.
On the other issue where it in fact reboots, I have no idea what may be wrong. Rather than restoring or resetting, why don't you first try turning your phone off for a minute or two to see if some electronic gate gets cleared. Turn the phone on and see if the actual reboot recurs.
Maybe one of the 'gurus' or other have exerienced the reboot problem.
    Good luck!

  • Iphone keeps restarting after 1 minute

went to bed last night phone was fine woke up this morning and it keeps restarting or freezing after 30 seconds to a minute. i tried re-installing my firmware but no help. does anyone have any ideas?

Standard troubleshooting steps in order are; power the iPhone off/on, reset, restore with iTunes from the iPhone's backup, restore with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup.
If no change after these steps, time to give AppleCare a call at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

  • Iphone keep restarting

My iphone was lagging from a  day ago. Now i turned it off saying maybe it needed a rest. Now i turn it back on and it just keeps restarting on the apple logo. I need to fix my phone.. My life is on this phone and i need it to work. I tried soft reset but it doesnt work. Itunes dont reconignize the iphone.. What can i do? PLEASE HELP NEED IT TO WORK BEFORE I LEAVE WORK TODAY.!!

It would have actually been better if you had restored the same FW as before because if you upgrade then you sometimes lose your backed up data. Okay, so now are you stuck on "slide for emergency" showing iTunes on your iPhone or are you actually into the phone but just can't see the signal bars of your provider? You have mentioned that your phone is locked now - and I don't think we can discuss about unlocking on this forum as it isn't official. Contact the carrier your phone is locked to and see if they offer unlocking & what the procedure/cost is. That is the ONLY official way to do so.

  • My iphone is frozen tried everything

my iphone is frozen tried everything

IF ALL ELSE FAILS - OR IT KEEPS CRASHING..... i really mean **everything** has failed as it all did for me after 2 days of trying EVERYTHING.
(Well you can go to Apple shop / send back under warranty etc but I bought mine second hand)....
    SO ---->
    - Plug iPhone to MAINS or CAR charger. There is NO button pressing involved here AT ALL.
    - Leave it to its own devices... Battery red light may come on... THEN eventually, 1 min, maybe 10 mins, Apple logo comes on.
    - Leave alone and in time it will then BLEEP.
    - Touch nothing... It will then boot up of its own accord..
    - You may get your home screensaver or it may say ACTIVATE.
    - Follow option to activate if it asks.
    - If iTunes doesn't work to reboot / restore / backup (itunes can be part of the problem), be in a Wifi zone.
    - Follow reset options taking least extreme options first but....
IF ALL ELSE FAILS (as it did for me and I am smoking cigarettes in both ears now....)
    - Do a full reset, the one where you wipe out all content. It could be a corrupted file you put on, a dodgy music file who knows... This is extreme though you may have stuff backed up. But it works! It's taken a while but all is OK again now. This is the ONLY way I could get going again short of paying out to have it fixed.
I willl stroke my iPhone with loving care and be more carefull what I put on in future hoping it stays good
    GOOD LUCK!

    Hey there Deano1351!
Try using the information in the following article to help you restart the Apple Mobile Device Service:

If that does not solve the issue, try following the rest of the troubleshooting steps in the article below:

  • TS3697 cannot transfer photos from iphone to pc tried everything

cannot transfer photos from iphone 4s to pc tried everything including bump

I found a webpage where a user reported the same issue as me.
He said he determined that "foreign pictures" -- meaning any pictures not taken using the iPhone's camera -- were the cause. Once he deleted the "foreign pictures" -- such as pictures obtained from receiving texts from others which included pictures that he saved onto the iPhone, then iTunes worked.
In my case, the fix was to upgrade the iPhone's OS from 5.1.1 to the latest version.
    Now, both issues are solved:
Windows recognizes the iPhone as a storage device.
iTunes can see pictures that I've saved on the iPhone.

I forgot my passcode and have tried everything but they all failed. I tried to connect to itunes and restore it but it required passcode in order to do so. I have also tried to put it in recovery and connect to itunes but after several munites of downloading, it still required passcode and need response on iphone to restore. I do not have find my iphone nor have a icloud account on my iphone. Please help!!!! thank you in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean by everything. Are you sure it's not asking you to create a passcode? This is what you have to do: Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

  • My iPhone keep restarting

hi, currently I'm using iPhone 5.
last week if I'm not mistaken, I updated it to ios 8.2
    so far so good,
But today my iPhone restarted whenever I'm pressing home/lock/both volume button.
Could this happen because there is a bug on ios 8.2?
is there any of you that share the same problem as mine?
I will really appreciate if there any solution for it
    Thank you very much
    Regards,
    Yoha

    Greetings yohayoha,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds to me like your iPhone restarted while you were holding down the Home, Sleep / Wake, and both volume buttons. If this is the case, holding down the Home button and Sleep / Wake button together does force a restart.
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If this is not the case and your iPhone is restarting when you press any of those buttons by themselves, I would suggest reading over the next attached article.
If your iOS device restarts, displays the Apple logo, or powers off while you're using it - Apple Support

  • Iphone keeps restarting.

As i was resetting the contents and applications on my iphone i did realize that the iphone was going to die, due to a flat battery. Half way through the process the iphone died. Charged the phone for good twenty minutes and powered it back up. Now it turns on but only shows the apple logo, shortly after the loading icon pops up. Then once it loads it automatically restarts and powers itself back up. Tried DFU mode with the latest itunes, still no success. Please help.....

me too - quite often when it's on charge and I am working at the computer
restarts for no reason - any ideas?

  • TS1398 hello my name is adam and im having trouble connecting to wi-fi on my iphone 4s. ive tried everything including resting my iphone to factory settings. i cant connect to any wifi at all. what should i do?

hello i have been having trouble connecting to any wi-fi. ive tried everyting and can not connect to any wi-fi avalible. i have also rest my iphone 4s to factory settings and can still not connect to a wifi. what can i do?

If you cannot connect to any Wi-Fi then try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help try resetting all Networks.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Netowrk Settings
Still no help? Then make an appointment at an Apple Store for a consultation.
