Iphone keyboard issues lag when typing

Issue with typing on keyboard on the iphone 5 with ISO 7 installed

Thank you so much, I was having this problem with a replacement Iphone 5 that was purchased from Apple today with iOS7 installed.  I had no idea why this was happening as it didn't happen to my original iphone 5 when I installed iOS7.
Turning off documents and data in iCloud solved it straightaway. Really pleased, you saved me another trip to the genius bar!!

  • Has anyone experienced lagging when typing on the mac since the mountain lion os x update?

    hey everyone,
i'm a newbie to this kind of stuff but just curious if anyone has experienced any kind of lag when typing since the mountain lion update. I find then whenever i'm typing it doesn't show up and as soon as i start deleting my sentence it will appear again.
also, when scrolling over a highlighted word, your typical menu box will drop down. As soon as it drops down it leaves a big white blank where it was and cuts out everything that was in its path.
please let me know if this is something that can be fixed or if apple's working on something to amend the issue. thanks everyone!

  • IE 9, 10, 11 - Slow/Lag when typing

    *UPDATE*
So just installing the latest display driver (AMD HD-3xxx) from Dell's website did NOT fix the issue. For whatever reason (still researching) The ATI Catalyst software needs to be installed also. So for testing, I imaged an Optiplex 780 (on board
video) and I had no Issues with IE. I then installed the same image on an Optiplex 9020 with a Video Card. I made sure I had the latest driver in MDT as well. Once it was imaged and I tested IE I had the same issues. Installed the Catalyst software and teh
issues ran away. I then uninstalled the video card from the computer, reimaged the Optiplex 9020 using the on board drivers and had no issues with IE.
Link to AMD and BINGO: http://developer.amd.com/community/blog/2010/03/16/ie9-takes-advantage-of-the-gpu/
A few users have brought this to my attention, I had not tested to much since IE is not my default browser, shame on me. I am imaging Dell Optiplex 760's and 9020's with a custom image and having it patch after installing applications. IE
11 is being loaded on when this happens. For whatever reason IE will lag when typing in certain page fields. It does it when searching in Google or if I go to my companies OWA page. For testing I went ahead and built a machine from scratch (using Windows 7
USB) ran all of the latest patches, installed all of the same software and what do you know IE works without any issues. So on the computer that was having issues, I tried safe mode and no issues when using IE. Here is the kicker, If I roll back IE all the
way to IE 8 it works perfectly, once I started going to 10 and then 11 is when I noticed the issues.
I have been racking my brain for the past week on this issue. I have rebuilt the task sequences for both machines even when using the install files from a disk to image a machine, as soon as I run Windows Updates IE breaks. Any thoughts? Oh and I have tried
EVERYTHING in regards to IE, no add ons, reset settings, inPrivate, everything
    Alex

    Hey Keith,
You may have hit it right on the nose. Turns out the CAB file I had was outdated and I had to grab the latest video driver from Dells website. The Optiplex 760's we run have a video card and what I believe is happening is when imaging the machines out the
Catalyst software is not being installed which is causing the errors (I think). As soon as I updated the display driver and installed the supporting software with it the issues went away. I updated MDT with the latest video driver and am going to image a machine
to see if that is all it needed. If it does need the Catalyst software installed I'll be adding that to my base image so I don't run into this again.

  • Keyboard misses letters when typing

When I am typing on my keyboard that came with my computer, it misses letters.  I type on several other keyboards and they all work fine so I don't think it is my touch.  Had this for 3 months now and Best Buy refuses to take care of the problem for me.  Can anybody help me?

  • Another thrillilng lag when typing

it's so exciting to have a snag like lagging when typing. I have a Toshiba L675 and suddenly (and without warning) my keyboard is not at times keeping up with my slow typing. One can type a whole word before it shows up on i.e. Outlook 2013 or Google in IE10.
I am using Windows 8 and nothing installed new. This problem just decided ot create itself to give me grief. Anyone out there have an idea as to what can or is causing this. No viruses / malware. Typing here produces no problem whatsoever, but in IE10 and Outlook 2013 is where my pain lies.
    Help will be appreciated. Thanks!
(In the highly unlikely event you do not see this posting, please let me know immediately)

Thanks for the replies. I've done the Reset thing - presently I have disabled all the Addon's. Also, in the Registry, I have in the H-Key_Current_User / Control Panel / Desktop -MenuShowDelay tried from the default number 400 and switched it 100, then 200, then 500, now currently 150, all of which are really making no change.
I have done the Malware and virus check(s) - done the CCleaner, shut off the smooth scrolling in Outlook 2013, but nothing changes this.
As to the cpu usuage, it really does not change. I've had the Taskmanager set so it doesn't disappear when I type, and when a word doesn't come up, nothing changes there.
This thing is sporatic. I can go 30 - 40 seconds typing and no problem then suddenly a word, or three or for letters are typed before it shows up on the screen. Then everything will roll along well and then the problem begins again.
This problem is something new that's popped up its head within the last four or so days.
I'm using a Toshiba L675-00X-00X. I've had Windows 8 / IE10 on this unit since October / 12 and not a flaw ... well, until now. But I've seen this on other laptops and somehow got rid of it but just can't remember how.
Your help / suggestions will be welcomed I'm sure.

  • Extreme lag when typing in Safari

I get a huge lag when typing an address or search term in safari. It started about a month ago and hasn't gotten any better. It's pretty much driving me nuts.
    Any ideas out there?
    Ray

See if any of the following help.
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (Clear Cache on iOS 4) and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • My iMac keyboard is lagging when I type. It is driving me crazy. How can I fix it?

My iMac keyboard is lagging when I type. It just recently started doing this and it is driving me crazy. Can someone please help, this is killing me!

    Open System Preferences > Bluetooth
Select the keyboard then click -  (minus) bottom left corner of the window.
Now, restart your Mac, then go back to the Bluetooth preferrence pane and click:  Set Up New Device
If that doesn't help, go to /Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
    See if that helped.

  • Serious screen lag when typing in fields with Safari, Chrome, etc.

With my MacBook Pro 15" i7 I'm experiencing a serious lag time when typing comments in posts online... like right now.. I'll type a few words and nothing shows up on the screen until I stop typing. Then the rest of the words leisurely fill in after I stop.
This happens in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc. On my iMac 27" i7 and MacPro, using the same Airport wi-fi in my house, I do not experience this.
When I type in Mail, TextEdit, etc., as I type the letters show up as fast as I can type.
I've got 8GB of RAM, 4GB of free RAM, a MacBook Pro15" i7, 500GB 7200 RPM HDD with plenty of space on it, recently fixed permissions, checked disk with Disk Utility AND DiskWarrior, re-booted, cleared caches, checked for current firmware... what now?
This doesn't happen on my other Macs, so I know something is up with this machine. (I typed that entire last sentence in before anything showed up on the screen - then when I stopped, after a few seconds, the words filled in.)
Driving me bonkers! Can anyone offer a solution?

Im am having the same problems never happen before -15inch macbook pro i7 4 gb ram 500 gb 7200 rpm hd... curious that we both have the 7200 rpm!!?? ....On 2nd laptop same problem and after days with apple online and store -still no answer ....  Here is a link for another thread i'm on with further lag issues im having...

  • HT201406 Keyboard covers text when typing

SInce updating to ios8, my keyboard covers the text when typing. It's so frustrating as u cannot see what you are typing.  The keyboard is not split nor in the middle of the page.  It's docked at the bottom.  Help! iPad air

I just found a fix that works for us on both iPads. Found this in another discussion:
Try SettIngs>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard> off. That made it possible to see what I'm typing.
    I left predicative on.
I hope this works for anybody else who is experiencing the same issue.
    Cheers!

  • IPhone keyboard issues.

Been having iPhone 4S keyboard issues for about 3 months now.
In portrait mode- the P and 0 keys don't work (i.e. the key in the upper right corner) and in landscape the spacebar doesn't work
Sometimes keys will repeat themselves, and when you press the enter key occasionally it will just keep moving down.
Does anyone know what causes this?

You will have to relock the phone and see if that corrects the issue.
Once the phone is relocked, you will need to send it to Apple US and provide a US mail address to receive a replacement if they decide to replace it since you voided the warranty by hacking it.

  • Revolve 810 G1 Keyboard skips characters when typing

Hi all, Just got a brand new HP Revolve 810 G1 tablet/laptop (12GB memory 256GB SDD). Things are otherwise smooth, but there is extremely annoying problem of keyboard dropping / skipping / losing some of the characters when typing. It appears randomly, not any specific keys or combos. Up till now in this post it has skipped about 10 characters. It doesn't require fast typing, even in the Win 8 start-menu, when searching for an app and then hitting enter to start the app, it might not react on the enter press. This is just an example, letters are missing from anywhere where I type. I type quite fast and know that I am hitting the correct keys. Disabling the touchpad does not help, so it is not that I would accidentally touching it during typing. I have updated BIOS, restored OS to factory state (HP Full Recovery), switching to English OS localization, installed all Windows Updates - no help. This makes working a pain, it's not feasible to chat or type document when you have to backspace all the time to fix the mistakes that you did not make. HP Support Assistant is not finding any more updates, product number is H5F12EA#AK8,WIn 8 Pro 64-bit. I have installed a 8GB SODIMM under the back cover, replacing the included 4GB chip. Will run a memtest overnight. Anybody seeing the same?? tonttuz

Welcome to the HP forum, Tonttuz. If you have adjusted the keyboard speed properties, updated the drivers, and done all the usual, thenIt could be keylogger malware - run a deep scan and make sure you are the only watching what you typeIt could be another program slowing down the system and interfering with your input - check the Task Manager and look for "hogs" -- programs that are running with a high cpu / network / disk consumption and stealing resources. It could be hardware - the system is new, but its construction may not be flawless -- Call HP=====================================================================================It could be that the drivers, though updated, are not being read from disk - instead they may be tangled in the memory and not being read properly. You might consider, without any grand hopes of success, applying a Forced Reset: Forced Reset flushes out the persistant boot-to-boot software and driver instructions from memory and forces the system to go back to the disk to read the software and drivers from the disk Operating System. Forced Power Reset Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset The Power Reset cannot tell the difference between drivers - it does not analyze a driver or software program before applying it.  It assumes all the drivers and software on your computer belong there. This is a Driver Reset; this is NOT the Windows 8 Reset that installs the Operating System.  This procedure does not wipe out your files nor does it destroy your Windows setup in any way. EXAMPLE:If the driver software on disk is incorrect or if the driver software is corrupt, it will still be incorrect or corrupted after the Reset. If the driver INSTRUCTIONS are tangled, messed up, or there are bits missing from those instructions, then the Reset may fix the problem. Why a Power Reset works to fix some issues: The Power Reset does not install anything on your computer, the Power / Hard Reset does not remove programs or personal data from your computer, and the Power Reset does not change the settings on your computer.  Your data and programs remain as they were before the reset was applied.  The Reset drains out the old program instructions from the memory and forces the computer go to the on disk Operating System to get new instructions. Why a Power Reset might Not Work:If the issue is more than just entanglement, if the "good instructions" on the computer are not good enough -- that is, you need an update, a new driver, or there is a problem that cannot be "untangled", then the Reset will not work. If there is a hardware problem the Power Reset will not work.==================================================================================== If you want to contact HP directly, you may use the following: Contact HP - Worldwide Contact HP – USA - Phone Assistance  Warranty Required – USA and CanadaUSA – Contact HP // Self-Help – Email - Chat  Good Luck!

  • MBP lags when typing in pages

    Hi,
I have a late 2009 13" MacBook Pro and when I am typing in pages it is constantly lagging by a couple of seconds, It also lags when I am zooming in or out and doing thing like moving images and text boxes. It is really frustrating and any help is much appreciated..

Saw you got no response. You could try some basic repairs.
Try using Disk Utility to do a Disk Repair, as shown in this link, while booted up on your install disk.
You could have some directory corruption. Let us know what errors Disk Utility reports and if DU was able to repair them. Disk Utility's Disk Repair is not perfect and may not find or repair all directory issues. A stronger utility may be required to finish the job.
    After that Repair Permissions.
No need to report Permissions errors....we all get them.

  • IPhone keyboard entering keystrokes not typed

The Passcode says I'm typing in the wrong code when I am. Typing the code slowly works. Keyboard is entering bogus characters. I've had the phoen for over a year and never had this problem until the dude at the AT&T store pulled out my sim card without turning my phone off. Is my phone damaged or is the keyboard issue a software/hardware upgrade issue?

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not work, set it up as new device, explained here:

  • Keyboard - intermittent failures when typing Pavilion d4496t

    Intel Dual Core
While typing, every fifth character or so would fail to type.  Purchased a third party keyboard assuming that the error was with the HP keyboard.
Error is still apparent.  (I've had to retype several times even in this short description.)
Any help would be appreciated.  (I'm having a great HP week - tx1000 Laptop dying and now this keyboard issue.)

    Hi Bill,
I think that your palm area might be touching the touchpad when you are typing faster and that might be making the cursor to jump from one place to the other. Can you please try disabling the touchpad and try typing faster and see whether the issue happens or not? This is not a solution but just to understand what is causing this issue. It definitely does not look like a software or a hardware issue to me with the information you have given.
You can disable the touchpad by double tapping the top left corner of it.
I am waiting to hear back from you.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. You may have many open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign.
