Iphone lcd screen

Hi all, i just recently traded in my BROKEN iphone to apple and they gave me a new one. I synced it up fine at started to play around with it just to make sure it worked. I noticed that the color black is not showing up correctly in ipod mode. When you look at it head on it seems distorted. Then if you tilt the iphone alot it appears to be normal. Is this a issue with the screen? Help!!!

I've had my iPhone since August with no problems. I love it. Just this morning the very bottom part of the touch screen became unresponsive. The rest of the screen is fine. It's like the sensor in just that part of the screen has gone dead for some reason. Of course this also happens to be the part of the screen where you "slide" to answer a call, and also access the phone, mail, safari, and iPod icons. Also the "slide" to unlock the phone is located in this area. Basically this malfunction has rendered my iPhone unusable. I have turned it off and on, and also reset and restored it through iTunes. None of that works. It appears to be a hardware issue and not software. I wonder if this is a problem that will occur widespread in iPhones after several months use, or if my problem is somewhat isolated?
I'm frustrated as EVERYTHING is on my iPhone. I have an appointment tomorrow at the Genius Bar to have it checked out. Thank goodness I'm near an Apple store or I would be even more frustrated. I also have everything updated and saved on iTunes so it will be easy to personlize my iPhone again once the problem is fixed.

Iphone LCD screen dead spot

Hey I have an iphone that I got from a friend as a gift never activated it but it seem as though it has dead spots how do I replace the LCD screen and will apple take it back. I don't know, I had it for a while without even looking at because to be honest I liked my blackberry. So how do I go about getting this fix; do I have to pay extra to get this fix or is it unfixable. I don't have a reciept and my friend didn't keep it. So should I bother with this phone because I'm not going to activate or bother signing up for a plan if this thing isn't going to work.

Definitly sounds like a physical issue with the phone. I suggest you go to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.

Yeah, Out-of-Warranty replacements are refurbished iPhones. I went through the same thing with my 4th generation iPod Touch. The glass broke when it fell onto a hard tile floor. I brought it in to the Apple Store and the replacement cost $200. The replacement was a refurbished iPod Touch. They charge for the replacement because AppleCare doesn't cover accidental damage. If you want accidental damage covered, you'll have to get AppleCare+, which is a new option Apple just started carrrying a little while ago, probably to keep people buying some sort of AppleCare, as the regular Apple doesn't cover accidental damage(although a lot of people buy it thinking it covers accidental damage).
Although they might actually repair your iPhone.
I know exactly what you mean about not liking the idea of a previously used iPhone. I was in the same frame of mind as you when I was getting my iPod replaced. I didn't like the idea of a used iPod, but after a few minutes, I got over it. You can hardly tell that it's refurbished because it looks almost like new.

IPhone 4 - Boxes on LCD screen

When I hold my locked iPhone 4 under the light, I can see the whole LCD screen filled with faint lines forming lots of small boxes throughout the screen. Is this normal or it shows that the screen has been changed to a 3rd party one before?

Updating iOS has relocked the device to whichever carrier it was originally sold as locked to.
Only that carrier can unlock the device.

I recently dropped my iphone 5 face down on the ground. I think that the LCD screen is broken becasue there is black and white vertical lines going down the screen, and then it would fade away. The next minute it is fully functional. Am I right, and if I am, how much is it going to cost to replace?

Crack in inner LCD screen of iPhone 4 or not?

Yesterday, I suddenly realized that there was a small clump of red, green and black lines appearing on the top left hand corner of my iPhone screen (near to the receptioon signal). When I went to the Apple Service Centre, I was told that there was a crack in the inner LCD screen which led to it. He even pointed that the fine green line is an indication of a cracked LCD and it will only get worse in the long run. However, over yesterday's night and today, this "clump" has started to slowly disappeared and now it is totally gone. I am totally confused? Is it a cracked LCD or some weird problem? Is there anyone who can shed some light on what is going on? Although I'm happy that it is gone and things seems to return to normal.

I think that it would be impossible for anyone on this forum to render an intelligent opinion without seeing your phone.

Iphone 4 screen went blurry after lcd replacement.

On my iphone 4, Lcd was broken, I bought a new lcd and tried to change myself, but when i am done everything, my iphone 4 screen went blurry with many different colourful lines, and finally screen stays white, i can't use it at all. How can i fix it? BTW when i tried to fix it using itunes my phone keeps rebooting so Itunes couldn't fix it, so i sense there is problem on hardware still. Thanks in advance.

There is no software fix for a hardware problem. This is most definitely a hardware problem. Your best bets are either send it out to someone who does professional iPhone repairs or buy a new phone.

Iphone 5 LCD screen green lines and bottom quarter all black?

Hi all,
Over the past few days I have noticed green lines running thorugh my iphone 5 screen , it got really bad last night so I turned the phone off for a bit and put it on the charger came back after an hour and now it's got much worse. The green lines remained; however the bottom right corner has now gone completely black (sometimes it's green)
Bottom half of the screen now not longer works meaning that I can't swipe to unlock. Does anyone know what could have caused this? Can this be fixed and how should I got about fixing this? How much will this cost me?
I've only had the phone about 8/9 months so pretty disapointed.
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Please help, I repaired an iphone 5c and have now tried two different lcd screens on it but all I get is a black screen or a black screen with a vertical blue line on the left hand side of the screen. I definitely have the cables connected properly etc and before I repaired it the phone had a cracked screen and there was a picture on it.
I have tried hard reset and nothing. I have tried connecting to iTunes but it asks me to confirm on the iPhone which I can't do as there is nothing on the display. I have tried randomly pressing all over the screen but it doesn't work. So I can't even try restoring it on iTunes.
Please help any advice will be appreciated! I successfully have repaired iphone 4's and iphone 5 before but this is the first iphone 5c.
