IPhone lightening to USB and 3.5mm audio cable

I'm trying to connect my iphone 5 to my 2007 BMW Z4. I'm looking for a cable adapter like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Car-Charger-Adapter-3-5mm-Audio-Connector-Cable-for- iPod-iPhone-3G-3GS-4-4S-/230753349457. But with the lightening connector instead of the older 30-pin style. I'm using the small 30/Lightening adapter now -which works - but wan to switch to a new ProClips holder that doesn't have room for the 30-pin adapter and connector.

The Microphone does not work very good with 3.5MM,
I had to boost the mic & Level both to 100%, and still it's not good.
Sound was only coming from left speaker from the mic.

I'm looking for an APP which allows to use iPhone as USB Key (storage), and to transfer files via USB and WiFi connections.
I've found some, but I would like one which offers both transfer mode: USB and WiFi.
Could you tell me the best APP that you know?

USB is faster than WiFi.. and with 32GB storage, USB technology should be the minimal level of data tranfer!

i bought second iphone 3g , i deleted everything from it and now i connect it to pc and appears itunes and usb cable logo and nothing happens more pc dont even see this phone , i connect my another iphone 3g and and pc recognize it and everything works .

I will try to explain you my problem. I bought an audio-video cable for iPhone to link it at my stereo and to get better the HiFi System, I decided to buy an iPhone 3G or 3GS dock (my iPhone is a 3G one). But, when I linked all, the iPhone works with its speakers. Is possible to get working the iPhone like this:
iPhone > audio/video cable > stereo
with these links:
iPhone > dock > audio/video cable > stereo

Have you downloaded the Remote App? Wouldn't it be better for your iPhone's battery life to just let iTunes play the music over AirTunes? I'm kind of confused as to what you're trying to do.

Connecting a guitar with an adapter and 1/8" audio cable...

I went out and bought a stero to stereo headphone adapter that plugs into to my guitar with a 1/4" plug and comes out the other side with a 1/8" plug which I put into my macbook pro. When I go to system preferences and do audio in, it shows the volume go up every time I play my guitar like it should, but for some reason garageband won't recognize it at all and I can't make any sound come out of the computer. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I already went into garageband preferences and changed the out so I don't think that's it...

Just changed the GB preferences that your link told me too. I added a new real instrument track and now even on GB it shows the volume thing go up when I play my guitar, but still no sound comes out of the computer.

if you mean an 3.5mm minijack cable then you would require an external power source to inc the volume it play

Hello I have a iPhone 5S all of a sudden my music that I have purchased only plays on 1 speaker. I thought it was a bad audio cable so I brought it back to the store. Only to have the same thing happen again. What is going on?

I have a iPhone 5s all of a sudden my music on my iPhone would only ply oit of one speaker in the car. I thought it was the Audio Cable went and brought another Audio Cable and the same thing again. I than plugged my son phone which is a NOTE 3 into the Audio Cable and it started playing fine. I purchase all of my music from the Apple Store and one of the reasons is because I enjoy listening to my phone with my playlist inside my car. Has anyone else experienced this? Apple needs to fix this ASAP or refund me my money back for all the songs I purchased.

If you connect headphones to your 5s do you also hear music on from one side?
If yes get a light and inspect the headphone jack and clean out any dirt/debris/ etc. you find in there.
If that does not fix it you will need to get your iPhone replaceed under your warranty.

Problems with a lightning adapter - connecting my iphone 5 to a 30-pin audio cable in my car.

Randomly, the audio stops recognizing my connection to my car stereo via a 30-pin audio cable connected to my iphone 5 via a lightning adapter. It switches to the internal speaker and I have no idea how or why. It resolves itself just as unpredictably. I cannot replicate these conditions predictably. I have tried another lightning connector and a different audio cable. Due to damage, I also recently changed to a new iphone 5. The problem still exists. It appears to be related to the connector or iOS. Is anyone else having this problem?

Your case designer should have done their homework .
They would have full details of the iPhone and its accessories

Won't power on with audio cable plugged in

I have a powerbook g4 17" 1.5ghz that I replaced the screen on. When I got the powerbook, the screen was cracked and had no audio cable connected from the sound board to the logic board so I took a cable from a 1ghz 17" and plugged it in. When the cable is plugged in, the laptop will not try to power on. All I get is a very brief sound from the cd drive. If I unplug the cable, it boots normally and works perfectly. I even unplugged the cable from the sound board with the same result. I'm thinking the cable itself has a short in it and I need to buy another one. I just wanted to confirm that this is probably the problem.

I guess I will just have to leave the sound board unplugged and use a usb sound device for headphones or external speakers. I really appreciate your help though.
If everything else will work, that sounds like a workable plan. You can use a device like Griffin iMic as a sound input and/or output.

Bug: Target Display Mode + optical audio cable = black screen

Using Target Display Mode on my iMac 27" (late-2012) with my MacBook Air (mid-2013) always resulted in a black screen on the iMac.
Hardware used:
MacBook Air mid-2013 (Mac OS X 10.8.4)
iMac 27" late-2012 (Mac OS X 10.8.4)
Thunderbolt cable between MBA and iMac
optical audio cable in iMac (digital audio out through optical mini jack plug)
Now, enter Target Display Mode on the iMac keyboard (Cmd+F2).
Result: black screen on the iMac (MBA is okay, optical audio is okay)
Workaround: unplug optical audio cable before entering Target Display Mode. Plug in the optical digital audio out cable after TDM is working and all is fine.
I sent a bug report through the feedback form. Just posting here to save others the few hours I had to spend finding the cause and workaround!

Confirmed: Bug also exists in the new 2013 iMac under Mavericks. Unplugging the optical cable before entering Target Display Mode solved the problem.

I bought an iPhone 6 yesterday. I also bought a stereo dock that works with iPhone 5/5s. And a cord to connect iPhone 6 to USB port on my car stereo. No sound comes out of the stereo dock or car stereo. In Best Buy today, Sales Associate tried his iPhone 5 running iOS 8 on a stereo dock. It worked, but my iPhone 6 didn't. When will Apple fix this problem? Or is Apple pushing everyone to Bluetooth?

The iPod feature that plays through USB in my car does not work with my iPhone 6 either. I called AppleCare and they said that the car audio system will need a firmware update. Don't know if Apple is just passing the buck, but that is what I was told. Thank you for posting. I know now that I am not the only one. Thanks also for posting about the iPhone 5 running iOS 8. I gave away my iPhone 5 to a friend so I wasn't sure whether this is an iOS 8 issue or an iPhone 6 issue and your experience seems to confirm that it is a problem with iPhone 6. When you connect the audio interface to usb or firewire grained acoustic distortion, there is no loud noise in the acoustics! In the old "iMac24 Snow Leopard" was not like this!
Just bought the iMac21 lion, installed the new drivers and the two interfaces of different firms is presented, this acoustic problem.
I understand it comes from a usb and firewire!?

Well, it's been a few days and with no response I thought I'd look for another solution. I've been trying this software called iVPN, apparently it's like a front-end to OS X's built-in VPN server. Anyway, I disabled the VPN Server from the Server app, turned on iVPN and was VPN-ing from my iPhone over 3G in notime. It's a great app, though it kinda ***** that the server can't do what it's built to do. Since VPN was the big reason I got Server in the first place, I'll probably uninstall it and stick with OS X's built-in file sharing and iVPN.
