Iphone lock bypassed when going through camera

Has anyone else experienced that your lock on the iphone 4 can be bypassed simply by hitting the camera button, taking a picture, and then selecting the picture in the tool bar on the bottom? You can then hit the home button, and it will not ask for a lock number at any point in time.

No, it can not be bypassed this way. Set the passcode timeout to immediately. You'll see it prompts you every time. If you have it set longer (1 minute for example) You have to wait a full minute after locking the phone BEFORE it will prompt for a passcode again under any circumstances.

That's usually a symptom of a phone that was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it.

That is usually caused by a missing unpack directive (<em:unpack>true</em:unpack>) in the file install.rdf of that extension.

IPhone locking up when answering a multi-party call

My iPhone locks up when I either try to switch over to a 2nd call coming in. I answer the call and the phone number shows but the timer sits at zero and when I hit the home button I get MULTI PARTY CALL and my iPhone locks up. The only way out of it is to turn off my iPhone and turn it back on. I thought it was perhaps a Firmware issue but I have the latest firmwhere and even restored back to factory defaults. I had thought the problem was also when there was too much texts and voicemail and the problem was a memory issue and have cleared out all my texts as well as much of my voicemail. It still have the issue. Does anyone else have the same problem I do trying to put 1 call on hold and answer a 2nd call?

I have the same problem!
it's a total crap shoot when you answer a call while you're on one, I know it's not just me a couple of friends are having the same issue... I would love to have this fixed!

IPhone Locking Up When App Running

Since I upgraded to 3.1, occasionally my iphone will lock up when I'm running an app. If I have an app open, and the phone goes to sleep, I can't power it back up and have to do a restart pressing power button and home button at the same time. This has happened with different apps, including when playing music.
Anyone else encounter this problem?

I have recently ugraded my phone from an iPhone 3G to a Nokia. I still own the iphone but am just using it as an ipod. There is no sim in it, wifi disabled, imessages disabled, apple ID deactivated, icloud deactivated. However, I am not receiving text messaged from friends and family who have iphones as they are automatically going through as imessages on their phones. They have to then manually resend it as a text message. Why is this happening? They have deleted old message thread and my number and re-imput it but still no joy. They are not going through to the old iphone because I have disabled everything so they are just getting lost in space. It is frustrating for the other users as they have to keep resending messages. What more should I or they be doing for the messages to stop sending as imessages. Thanks

Sure you can. Whether your phone is in warranty or not, or how old it is, has no bearing on your ability to call AppleCare. So, if you want to fix this, call them.

RoboHelp Server 8 Not Displaying All TOCs When Going through the Engine

Hello,
We recently upgraded from X5 to X8 and imported and converted our X5 project to X8 without any problems. After our conversion, we are having TOC issues.
Here is our issue. Not all of our TOCs are displaying when we veiw our project through the engine, but if we view the project directly (without) going through the engine all of our TOCs display correctly. I've tried creating a new TOC and checking the Copy existing Table of Content box and deleting the old TOC and that did not work. I removed the following characters in the TOC (&, <, >,) and that did not work. I also tried deleting a book with topic pages within the book and re-creating the book and adding the topic pages in the book and no solution. It seems like i've tried everything to resolve our issue and nothing has worked so far.Our books have topic pages linked to it.
I've searched the forums and i have not seen anyone else with the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Battery flattens when going through Airport Securi...

On a recent trip abroad whilst taking my Nokia 5230 for the first time I noticed once it passed through the security scanner, with the phone switched on, when I went to use it the battery was completely flat. I had only charged it the night before. Exactly the same happened on my return journey. Obviously the phone was not on my person but in my hand luggage in the tray provided.
Fortunately I had my N78 with me and this was unaffected. Next time I go abroad I'll switch on my 5230 before it goes through the security scanner. Just wonder if that will make any difference. Has this happened to anyone else?

You would perhaps expect an increase in power consumption of device trying to maintain signal within airport confines but not to this degree.

When going to Edit -> Preferences and choosing Reviewing acroread will lock up.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start acroread .
2. Go to Edit -> Preferences .
3. Click on Reviewing at the left.
Expected results:
Reviewing category to be shown on the right.
Actual results:
acroread locks itself up indefinitely.
How reproducible is this problem?
It is reproducible every time (seeming even with a clean profile).

That's correct, as to the sybmols and data structures, there was no change.
Only the few curl_easy_setopt() options that nobody uses anyway got removed.
E.g. Debian "cheats" by packaging a libcurl.so.3 -> libcurl.so.4 symlink, we
could do that too, either in the curl package or in acroread.rpm.

Apparently libcurl.so.3 and libcurl.so.4 are not as compatible as we
thought because keeping the libcurl.so.3.0.0 which comes with the
acroread tarball instead of creating symlinks to libcurl.so.4.0.0
make this problem go away.

Even with the right version of libcurl it doesnt work.
With the right version of libcurl it is possible to
click on the Edit → Preferences → Reviewing category once.
Then one sees:
Shared Reviews
Check for new comments:
Every 15 minutes when the document is open [ | ]
Every 2 hours in the background [ | ]
Show Review Tracker Alerts:
Over a rolling window of 60 minutes [ | ]
[Cancel] [ OK ]
Click on [Cancel] or [ OK ] and exit acroread.
Restart acroread.
Click on Edit → Preferences.
Hangs already.

After entering the Reviewing setup dialog once and exiting
acroread, there are two sockets in the configuration directory:

After deleting these sockets
rm .adobe/Acrobat/8.0/Synchronizer/{Commands,Notification}
one can enter the Edit → Preferences → Reviewing dialog again. But
only for one session, the problem reappears after the next restart of
acroead because the sockets are there again.

No. It only saves the password for about ten minutes then you have to reenetr the PW. It is a security feature.
