Iphone mail app not receiving e-mail from 1 sender

The Mail app on my iPhone 6/iOS 8.3 is not receiving e-mail from one sender sent to my Outlook e-mail account. This sender's e-mail address is "[email protected]". It is a notification of digital magazines available from Zinio. I know the mail app is not receiving the e-mail because Outlook 2013 on my desktop and Outlook.com do receive these e-mails. How can I get the mail app on my iPhone to receive these e-mails from this address?

Initially it sounds like something with your backup data caused the issue with your new device but if you restored your device again without using the backup and the issue still exists it wouldn't appear to be the issue at all. Since the problem seems to only be with one person are you sure it's not an issue on their end and with their network that is stopping you from receiving the messages? Have you tried *228 option 2 to see if that helps?

    Can your wife make phone calls to others? If her number is not blocked on your device, there is no reason you should not receive a call from her, unless she cannot make calls to others. A block would be the only reason you should not receive a call. Check with your carrier to make sure there is no restriction on their end.

  • Not receiving some emails from specific sender.

    Hi.I just started getting the problem of not receiving some emails. I have not had this problem with the sender until yesterday.  My sender is sending me emails from gmail, some with attachments and some without, to my comcast email and it's not getting through. It is just one specific sender that I know of. I narrowed it down to my comcast account because I had the sender send myself the email to my comcast address and cc me on my gmail address. I received it on my gmail account but not my comcast account. I use Outlook for comcast but I even checked the webmail on comcast with nothing there. I checked the spam folder also and it's not there. Please help, these are important emails. Thank you.

    Same issue, as far as I know it is just 1 person.  But I have no way of knowing.  I also had them CC my Gmail and it went through to Gmail but not my comcast.  I then had them use a secondary comcast email and it didn't go through.  Comcast seems to be blocking this person for some unexplained reason.  It's frustrating and so far has cost me $525 because they thought I was ignoring them.  They are using my Gmail until I get it straightened out, so the financial loss shouldn't increase, I just hope others aren't having the same problem and I don't know about it.

    OK, this is an odd problem, and any help would be appreciated.
    My girlfriend's Yahoo! mail account does not receive email sent from my .mac address. If I send email from my Gmail or Yahoo! accounts she receives the message. No one else has informed me that they haven't received email from the .mac address. Additionally, the .mac account is in her address book.
    Anyway, has anyone seen a similar pattern with Yahoo! or any other email provider?

    Thanks for the reply . . . and yes, the recipient's email provider likely holds the answer.
    However, I was hoping someone here might have had a similar experience and could answer as the email provider is Yahoo, and they are slow in responding to help requests . . . for a period I hosted a personal, paid website through Yahoo Domains and help tickets lingered for several days on multiple occasions (this being the reason the site is no longer hosted by Yahoo). I also doubt Yahoo will expend too much energy resolving a problem for a free email account.
    Anyway, I posted in the Yahoo mail forums, and hopefully something will come-up . . . .

    Sounds like you have a battry issue but don't want to believe it.
    If a car was running fine on one tank of gas, then you filled it up with another tank of gas and it began to run funny, one might suspect that tank of gas. But let's just say coincidence blew a valve-- would you think the new tank of gas was the culprit?
    BUT WAIT!! It just might have been! The gas could have been of higher octane and put more more strain on the valves; you know, like going from 87 octane (OS6) to 93 octane (OS7) and showing you the engine was on the edge of compromise.
    Sometimes you have to go with common sense. If everything else is ruled out, it must be the battery. And if it runs fine one moment in OS6 but immediately ***** in OS7, I'd believe my battery was suspect-- though comfy-- in OS6 but the OS7 showed its true power.
    Moreover, if you had the answer-- or didn't want to believe someone's more competent advice-- why did you even call?  You've already shown that you don't know much when you asked if you could go backwards after setting up the new OS as a new phone.
    Additonally, if you're such the know-it-all, but yourself the $29 battery and put it in yourself. It's a piece of cake.

    I am not receiving text messages from iphone user, sporatically.  The messages are showing as reveived on Verizon website in usage detail, but not being received on my phone.

        This issue needs fixed asap! I have a few suggestions that should help you get this resolved. If they are showing up in the usage details, that means they are hitting the Verizon network, but for some reason they are not showing up on the phone.   I recommend clearing the cache from your messaging/text messaging programs. Go to settings> applications> manage apps> all> Messaging/Text Messaging> Force Stop/Clear Cache/Clear Data. Erase the old text threads that you have saved and retry.
    If that doesn't work, please let us know the following:
    1) Do they come in delayed or not at all?
    2) Do you have any 3rd party messaging apps installed?
    3) Do they have any problems receiving messages from you?
    4) When they're sending messages, are they directly to you, or do you have this problem when the iPhone user sends to a group of people?

    I just hope Apple is going to build this feature into one of the next firmware updates, since from my point of view this is not only a security concern, but could turn out quite expensive if you are on a bad price plan.

    Verizon wiping out old phones would have nothing to do with it. The phone is no longer associated with the number, so wiping the phone would have no effect. It is your Apple ID which is the problem. You have iMessage turned on for your Apple ID. iPhones which have your Apple ID associated with your contact will send texts to your Apple ID, not your phone #. If you have another Apple device which can use iMessage, you could turn off iMessage in that device, but as long as your friends have your Apple ID associated with your contact and you have turned on iMessage in an Apple device and never turned it off before switching from an Apple device to another platform, you will have this problem.
    You can bet that Apple will not address the problem, as they don't see it as a problem if someone is using a phone other than an iPhone. Apple expects no one will ever switch away from an iPhone once one has been used. Therefore, no problem for them to address.
    The problem lies with Apple wanting their users to go through yet another proprietary interface, iMessage, which the MAJORITY of all smartphone users do not have access.

    You can see your bill online anytime you like. In fact you'll get your bill online before you get it in the mail. By the way did it occur to you the post office could have lost it? (removed) Even your smartphone has access to your bill via the My Verizon app.

    After accepting the carrier update yesterday my iPhone 5s will not receive emails via my work Exchange system.  I can send emails, but can not receive.  I deleted my account and added it back with the directed provided by our Corporate IT, but I still can't receive emails.  I've hard booted and soft booted my phone several times to no avail.  What else can I do to help remedy this situation?

    I don't have any other email accounts on my phone and I don't get any type of error message.  It just says "Checking for Mail" and I receive nothing, so I know that it is accessing my work email system.  I haven't made any changes to my account.  I only accepted the message to update my carrier system.....I do have an appointment with the local Verizon store to see if they can help.
    Just FYI, my Exchange email account still works on my iPad, so I'm pretty sure the settings are correct.

  • HELP ... Not receiving email messages from particular Yahoo Group

    Ever since the evening of 3/26 every member of my Yahoo Group with an email address from Comcast.net has not been able to reliably receive messages from the group. Out of over 40 emails since then, we've received 4 (2 on 4/1 and 2 this morning). There are no error messages involved, there are just no emails in our inboxes. Yahoo does not indicate that any of the messages have "bounced". The messages are not in my spam folder (in fact, the first Comcast "helper" i worked with had me turn off the spam filter in Comcast,net) Oddly, I (and the others) can receive messages from other Yahoo Groups that we are members of, just not ours: SoundOfNewEngland I was on the phone with Comcast for 2.5 HOURS on 4/3 and was basically told that since I could receive a test message from Comcast that the error must be with Yahoo!   After contacting Yahoo, I was told that since others in the group can receive the messages, that the error must be with Comcast. <sigh> The last email I got from Yahoo said that Comcast would need to add Yahoo info into the Comcast whitelist. I told this to a Comcast technician during a help chat on 4/5 ... and she told me to fill out this form: http://www.comcastsupport.com/sdcxuser/asp/comcast_blockedprovider.asp I did that even tho the issue is that the Yahoo Group's messages were being blocked and I didn't have an IP address for those, but I could provide the domain name:  yahoogroups.com I tried to put the info that Yahoo Groups gave me for the whitelist, but the description is limited to 1024 characters  Needless to say, I have not received a resonse from Comcast within 24 hours of posting the form  Here is the info from Yahoo!: "Since you have already reviewed your settings, and confirmed that the emails are not landing in your spam folder, you will need to follow up with your email provider again, since it appears that they are dropping emails from the group.     You can select another email to use on iPod or iPad.
    Go to settings
    Messages
    Send and receive
    Check your phone number and uncheck the common Apple ID you share so your messages will not go to other devices.

    Not with they limited information you have provided so far. Are you backing up to iCloud or to iTunes on your computer? Do you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer? Was it installed from a Windows or Mac user ID that had administrator privileges? Does the phone show up in iTunes? What is your operating system? Are you using a USB port directly on your computer (not a hub)? If it's a USB port on the computer and you have a desktop or tower computer is the port on the back, not on the front?

    I'm not receiving data sent from a specifc address. Other (non Verizon) users are able to get data from the address. I can send data to it and pinkg and tracert times are good. The vendor needs a check of verion servers to see if there's a specific problem related t otransmitting data from the address. Online Verizon help was of no use since they cant' understand that a ping is only for seeing if you can connect to the servere.
    The specific proble is addressed in the following from the data provider's internet support
     Layer 4(transport layer) traffic is not reaching you from our app server with the address https://os-bo-app04-04.boldchat.com/. They want to know if there's any Verizon issue related to this.

    That's a curious question response from a company. Verizon and any isp are only providing layer 1,2 & 3 of the osi model. Any would verizon be involved in layer 4 issues for a particular website? I would think that answer would be pretty obvious.
