IPhone Makes A Lot Of Backups. A Lot.

Hello,
I have recently had to return my iPhone to Apple for a replacement so I was incredibly glad that it had asked me to back it up yesterday, my new phone is just as my old one was.
HOWEVER - every time I sync now (pretty much) it keeps asking me to back up.
I let it do it the first time so that the new new phone could replace the old new phone's back up, but each time I try to syn apps or music it immediately goes to back up the entire phone.
I'm not sure that I've changed any of the settings, so I was wondering if there's anything I can check to stop this?
To make sure my horrifically buggy MobileMe account works I've had to check "Automatically sync when connected" but surely this shouldn't require backing up every time?
Where am I going wrong?
Please ask if you need more info.

On an iPhone 4S, the one year limited warranty expired years ago. It doesn't matter how long you have had the iPhone.

Check first if the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet.
Check if the carriage is moving freely and there is no obstructions inside the unit.
Clean the paper rollers once.

I am sorry to hear you have this problem with your notebook. to be honest it will be interesting to know which notebook model do you have exactly.
I use Toshiba notebooks since year 2000 and I have pretty good experience with them. My first one was old Satellite 3000 later Satellite P20, M70 and now I have two of them Satellite P200 and brand new Satellite A300. None of them was loud.
Just on big Satellite P20 I noticed the same after 2 years of usage but after cleaning everything was OK again. For my work I use Satellite P200 and it is really quiet.
So I am really surprised you got this statement from technicians.
I recommend you to contact some other service and to talk with them. If you have noticed such noise it can be also defective cooling vent. It can happen that small ball-bearing inside is defective and when vent is rotating it makes strange noise. Friend of mine has had this problem on old Tecra M1.
Other way the strange noise can be also because of defective HDD. I had this problem on my old Satellite M70. HDD was defective and when I have started several applications I have heard squeaking sound. After HDD replacement everything was OK.
It is really not easy to say what the problem can be so the best thing you can do is to find serious service provider and ask for help.

Firefox makes a lot of new windows when i try to press on an email link

I press on a link with email address
then my firefox 3.6.4 on imac starts to make a lot of new empty windows so they cover my whole screen, hundreds of them.

Thanks the problem was in the settings
Check the Mailto application in Firefox > Preferences > Applications
Make sure that it isn't set to the Firefox application.
Now it works fine

Make certain that you have your data backed up. Open Disk Utility>First Aid and run Verify and Repair. Consider installing a replacement HDD since HDDs can fail very quickly with out warning. Installation instruction videos are available on the OWC web site.

USB Soundsticks makes a lot of noise during start+up

I have the old USB connected soundsticks with my mac pro quad 2.88ghz and during startup they make a lot of noise. I have tried switching between the ports on the back, havn't tried connection it on the front yet.

The password I refer to is the laptop password. windows 7 is the origional windows operating version that was preinstalled on the laptop
Once you input the laptop pass word it shows the starting windows screen this is when the bleeping noise starts.

Whenever I turn on Safari, my macbook starts to make a lot of noise, in particular on sites with flash. I guess this is not normal. I have the latest flash installed and my mac software is up to date. I have a mac with 2G memory attached to a 23" cinema-display. Any suggestions?

Have same problem with mac mini g4. sample site is http://www.wakfu.com/ stay a bit longer and fan noise starts up.

You should shut down all the apps running in the background and then reset your phone. Double tap the home button to open the multitasking drawer (iOS 6.X) or the multitasking screen (iOS 7.X) if you are on iOS 6.X press and hold one of the app icons and wait for the icon's to start to jiggle, just like when you want to delete an app. Tap the little x that appears in the upper corner of the icons. Repeat until all the icons are gone.
If you are on iOS 7.X once the multitasking screen is open swipe up on all the app images until they are all closed. Tap on the home screen to close.
Then press and hold both the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time and wait for the Apple logo to appear then release both buttons. The phone will restart itself.
If this doesn't help try doing a Reset All Settings reset, you will not lose any data or content or media. But you will have to reset any setting you turned on or off in Settings. This will reset all settings back to factory default. Settings => General => Reset => Reset All Settings.

I have upgraded from iphone 4S to 5S - now backup/restore didn't work fully

I backed up my 4S via icloud and also via itunes [belt n braces] immediately prior to moving my sim to my new 5S.
However, having done a backup on 20th May at 14:00 ish [it did confirm at the time that it had done one], I then started the restore following the prompts, but when the list of available backups was shown, it only showed the previous two - one from 5 days ago, and one older than that.
I [stupidly, as it transpires] went for the more recent one [dated 5 days ago] thinking maybe it had not updated its timestamps, and I now have my calendar / reminders etc all fine up until 5 days ago.
I have now lost 5 days worth of updates and I have checked that it has indeed missed out the last 5 days. I have done a lot of work in that time so
what happened when the backup lied about finishing today's backup OK;
why did I only get the most recent backup showing as 5 days ago, and
how do I get the missing 5 days back?

I ended up going back to backing up the iphone 4S via itunes, then leaving that phone in the usb port.
I linked up the 5S via its usb port [why do they have to be different by the way - is this a ploy to get you to buy a new in-car charger all over again too?] and then restored the iphone 5S by selecting the backup from the 4S that I'd just done, and lo and behold! Problem solved.
It also helped that I renamed both devices to include the text '4S' and '5S' in their names, as prior to that , they were both called "...'s iphone", thus adding to the confusion over the backups and which to select.
It still doesn't solve the original problem of why I 'lost' a backup via iCloud, but I choose to ignore that as "I'm alright Jack" for now!
