IPhone Malfunction & Sold Out at Apple Stores?
My iPhone's touch screen stopped working today completely, so I can't navigate past the unlock screen. When I connect it to my computer, it won't recognize that anything is even there. I just need a new iPhone desperately, but all the Apple stores (or at least the Apple store in Knoxville, TN) is sold out, as well as AT&T.
So what do I do?! Does Apple have iPhones on hand for exchange or how are they going to help me out since my product is defective?
Please let me know! I can't go long without a phone!
Yes, holding the Sleep/Wake button down for like 5 seconds or so will allow you to power down. If that doesn't work, try the force reset:
Hold the Sleep/Wake button AND the HOME button down for like 6-7 or more seconds.
That may help.

Nobody here knows how many iPhone 5s Apple has to sell, how many of each model are allocated to each store, which store you intend to visit, which model you want, how many other people will want to buy the same phone at that same store, and how quickly the store staff can sell them.
My purely uneducated guess is: you'll be extremely lucky to find any initial stock left 2 days after release, unless they've had further deliveries. But I could be wrong. -

they said leap year added extra day so too late out of warrenty, sorry but can sell you new one i called apple said same , a company that big should take care of customers the origanel receipt should of said under date of purchess warrnty to end date following year,That's strange, because no where in the iPhone's limited warranty does it state "365 days", but it does state 1 year. I think the only way they could get out of that is because of the battery, which is not covered by the warranty. HOWEVER, it is stated on AT&T's website that claims are handled from 31-365 days, which would explain why the Apple people acted as such. I know you have Verizon, but since it is (essentially) the same device, it's under the same warranty.

Many people have had stories about issues happening as soon as their warranty expires, with products in general.
I'd just consider upgrading, and selling your old one. -

Yeah just tested it, change the tmobile to iPhone tarrif and it's unlocked. So Peter was right it is unlocked if you buy from the Apple store. Plus I thought it would be unlocked just needed conformation, like I said the sales guy said it is unlocked to all networks.

Will the unlocked iPhone 6 from UAE-Online-Apple-Store support LTE in UAE?
Currently I'm trying to buy an unlocked iPhone 6 from UAE Online Apple Store. The unlocked iPhone price was 650 AED cheaper than the local provider unlocked iPhone!

Apple should be ashamed at calling it unlocked! I ordered one and now they are delaying the return! It's absolutely no use to me if it doesn't work and is only suited to a market that embraces technology.
First, the term "unlocked" has nothing to do with which features are available to you. Second, the lack of FaceTime in the Middle East is nothing new. This is a restriction placed on Apple by local governments and carriers for all devices sold in those markets.

If I bought my iPhone in America from an Apple Store and have the receipt can I return it to a Japanese Apple store? Yes it is within 30 days, I bought it July 21st, meaning it is within 15 days, as well.
I would doubt it, but there's nobody here who can speak on behalf of Apple. Phone the Japanese store: they will know far better than us fellow users.
