Iphone microsoft outlook sent items syncing

Hi, I have configured my outlook email account on my iphone, it works fine except for the fact that mails sent from the iphone dont get sync'ed in my PC. the inbox syncs but the sent items just remains in the iphone. Please help!

Well, I have lived with my suggested changes for a couple of weeks not and am not aware of any shortcomings.

I know that voicemail messages that are forwarded using the Cisco Viewmail client are actually relayed directly from the Unity Connection server (we are using single inbox) version 8.6. As a result these messages are not recorded in the message tracking logs of exchange nor are they being journal by our exchange server. Does anyone know of a way to capture these messages in the sent items via a hub transport rule, etc? Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

The E-Mail router uses SMTP for sending outgoing e-mail so this bypasses the exchange mail box as I understand it.
The question regarding Server-Side Sync for outgoing e-mail was to confirm if it still uses SMTP as the transmission protocol as it doesn't mention this on the setup screens.
We need to ensure e-mails are delivered immediately for customers and cannot take the risk that the users outlook is offline, but it is a pain that CRM based e-mail aren't being evidenced in the outlook sent items folder.

Sent items from Blackberry not appearing in Outlook sent items

I used to use hotmail and all sent items appeared in outlook sent items, I am now using outlook and they are not. Please explain in very very simple language using no IT terminology(!!!) how I make my blackberry sent items show up in outlook!

When you used hotmail and outlook, I take it you used to send all your email using outlook?
Items you send on your blackberry should show up in your sent items on the hotmail website, but the sent items in outlook is separate, and will only show emails you actually send from outlook. It doesn't pickup sent items you've sent from the hotmail website or your blackberry - this is a limitation of outlook and hotmail, rather than blackberry.

The sent items should sync up if you have the account configured in Outlook as an Exchange account and are online. Are they any sync errors in the Sync issues folder?

Sync iPhone with Outlook- How to sync using last updated data without merge

I have set my iPhone to sync with Microsoft Outlook when I am at a PC office. The problem I am encountering is that the options for syncing outlook with Iphone are only (1) computer overrides iPhone or (2) computer mergers information with iPhone.
Obviously, as in any old PDA there are two missing options: (3) latest information overrides prior dated information or (4) IPhone information overrides computer.
Options (3) and (4) are clearly the most important options in a PDA phone because they take into consideration updates we make of contact info, notes, etc on our phones and later go to our office or home to sync the information with our computers. Option (1) is this case would not be applicable and option (2) would be wrong as it would create merged information adding old to new data.
Is there a solution to this problem or has iPhone OS missed this one?

Time Machine is your best bet.
I assume you are updating to 10.8.4?
You should be able to upgrade without starting over. It is still wise to backup with Time Machine before performing the upgrade in case things go wrong

Merging contacts between iphone and Outlook rather than syncing

I want to be able to update a contact on iphone and in Outlook and when I sync I want the contacts to merge.
At the moment they seem to sync so if I have deleted on old phone number in Outlook but it is still on iphone it reappears after the synce and vice versa.
I want to merge so I can edit freely on both devices and on syncing be given the choice what information to accept or reject (like my Nokia E51 used to).

Email sent from iPhone appears in Sent Items days later

On our Mac clients we use Entourage 2008 SP2 which connects to Exchange 2003 SP2 running on Window Server 2003.
So we're very pleased our iPhone 3Gs with 3.1.1 work as well as they do with ActiveSync email to Exchange. (Well done Apple.)
However, we have noticed that some emails sent from the iPhone appear in Entourage's (and OWA's) Sent Items folder days later than when the message was sent.
Also, the Subject is BLANK.
This is not good as we are contemplating moving from BlackBerry to iPhone for our client servicing teams who need to have an accurate record on on-the-hoof communications.
Any ideas?

IPhone OS 3.0 did not identify itself properly to Exchange 2007 on any iPhone. With iPhone OS 3.1, all iPhones identify themselves properly to the server, essentially fixing a glitch in the previous operating system. However, now iPhone and iPhone 3G users that upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 won't be able to login to Exchange 2007 servers that require hardware encryption. The new iPhone 3GS, you won't notice any change. Apple's newest phone is equipped with hardware encryption, so it will meet the requirements of the Exchange server when identifying itself. If you've already upgraded your phones to iPhone OS 3.1 on an iPhone or iPhone 3G and connect to an Exchange 2007 server, you have to turn off the hardware encryption requirement for those devices. So, if you decide you have to have hardware encryption, then you'll need to upgrade all phones to 3gs.

E72 IMAP email sent items sync broken - Tech Suppo...

After a frustrating 30 mins on the phone with a level 2 tech support and being fobbed off with an unnecessary patch for MfE I emailed tech support
“i have an imap email account with GMX set up on my e72 using nokia messaging. it sends and receives email fine. however, any email sent from my phone goes into the sent items folder on my phone, but not into the sent items on my email account. there is no option to tell the phone which folder to use as the sent items folder”
The reply was
“In response to your concern, please be advised that the phone's function to save your sent email to the phone's sent items folder and not on the email sent item folder is a default setting which cannot be altered.“
Brilliant eh? I have asked if there will be a fix in future firmware, but no response. This is a serious issue for anyone using the E72 for email.
I know I am not alone. Will keep you updated if I get anything else

Why don't my sent items sync to my iphone from mail "pop" account?

I have the same POP account on mail and my iphone and have itunes set to sync the account. it seems like the only folder that synched was the inbox. I want to be able to sync my account and have sent emails on both mail and my iphone. I send a lot of file attachments for work and it would be great to have the sent emails on my iphone in case I need to resend that attachment if I am not in the office provided I synched my iphone with my computer before I leave the office... any thoughts... I went down the IMAP road and the problem is the email server we are using online doesn't have enough storage to keep all the emails on the server.

Not possible with a POP account.
The email account sync process with iTunes syncs (or transfers) email account setup information for select accounts only from your computer to the iPhone. This does not not involve messages.
The reason the account's Inbox mailbox seemed to sync is because received messages with a POP account are the only server stored messages and if not removed from the server when downloaded by one email client can be downloaded from the server by another - in this case the iPhone.
If you want Sent messages kept synchronized between your computer's email client and the iPhone's email client, you MUST use an IMAP account for this purpose.

IPhone and Outlook out of sync - How to fix?

Plugging in my iPhone says it syncs everything fine with Outlook.
However I have added information to my caledar on iPhone which is not showing in Outlook.

Outlook sync sent items

Has anyone had any issues trying to get outlook syncing sent items:
- If I send a mail from Mobile me wed site then it gets sync'd to Outlook sent items
- If i send a mail from my iphone it appears in my sent items
- If i send a mail from Outlook it DOES NOT appear in my sent items in either outlook or on mobile me
Any ideas??

Sort of same issue.
Just ran a quick test PC – running Vista and MS Office 2008 (the new one), Mac running Leopard and MS Office for Mac 2008 (latest version,) all updates on Windows, MS Office (PC and Mac) and Leopard (I just installed the latest update (Mac OSX) and will re-check after it’s installed.
Sent emails do not post either way (between Entourage and PC/Outlook)
(All emails from BB and PC transfer just fine.)
Contacts seem to post between all devices – except for 1 that did not post from entourage to PC/BB – 1 did, 1 didn’t post from entourage to PC/BB
Appointments post from Entourage to PC. Appointments do not post from PC to Entourage.

Syncing more than one iphone with Microsoft Outlook

My husband and I both have iPhones. He already has his phone set up to use Microsoft Outlook. Is there a way for me to also use Microsoft Outlook, but only sync my information and not his?

Do you mean a change to the mail box settings or a change to an e-mail? If the former, it won't change in Outlook if you change it on the iPhone. Whether a change to an e-mail (e.g. a deletion or a move to a folder) also changes in Outlook depends on whether you are using IMAP or POP to connect to your mailbox server. IMAP will keep the mailboxes synchronised all all times. POP will not. If you use POP for multiple mail clients (e.g. Outlook and your iPhone) make sure you choose to leave a copy of e-mails on the server or each message will only transfer to the first client to connect to your mail provider's server. IMAP is much better for the sort of set up you plan to have.

Sent items of my exchange account in iphone does not get updated

sent items of my exchange account in iphone does not get updated. Mails sent from iphone are getting recieved by everyone and same is getting updated in outlook. sent items for the same account in ipad is getting updated. I am not facing this problem with any other folders in my exchange account. someone please provide a solution for this. I have tried resetting, restoring but nothing works...

Hi,
The problem could be the currency of the valuation area. It has to be the local currency. Maybe the company code has the local currency but the valuation currency is another.
Without having access to your system it is difficult to say. Maybe double check your customizing for assignment of update types for derived business transactions in spro:
Transaction Manager
-> General Settings
     -> Accounting
         -> Settings for Position Management
              -> Derived Business Transactions
                  -> Update Types
                      -> Assign Update Types for Derived Business Transactions
