IPhone Network Settings Reset - Exchange Account Settings

I have an iphone 4 and cannot connect to my wi-fi networks.
I would like to reset network settings but do not want to have my exchange settings deleted.
Can anyone tell me if my exchange account settings will be deleted if I reset network settings?
thank you,

OK - after the first answers I set up the Mail App of the iPhone new:
- deleting all mail accounts
- reseting all the iPhone settings
- restarting the iPhone
- set up the Exchange Mail Account new
Because I need my contacts and the calendar today, I set up the mail account as follows:
- 50 eMails (instead of 200)
- calendar sync 1 month ago (instead of 6 months)
- Exchange eMails: yes
- Exchange contacts: yes
- Exchange calendar: yes
- mails to sync: 3 days (instead of 1 month)
These settings I set up today morning at 10 o'clock.
At 14 o'clock all still works fine. But when I look at the Mail App at 15:15 o'clock it hangs again!
Best regards ...

  • Outlook 2007,Remove exchange account settings move to standalone mode

I have a Outlook 2007 client PC, somehow it attached to a exchange server on my LAN.
I want to remove exchange account settings in Outlook 2007 and move back to standalone mode
I removed the account in the account list, disabled any exhange addons, what else do I need to do?

    Hi,
Please go through the steps to remove Exchange account profile.
    1. Close Outlook.
    2. Navigate to "Start-"Control Panel".
    3. Find "Mail",click on it.
    4. Click "Show Profiles".
    5. Select the Exchange account profile and then click "Remove".
Note: If Exchange account is the default one, then profile name should be "Outlook".
After that, you can add new profile with non-exchange account.
    Hope it helps.

  • IPhone iOS 7 resets Mobile Data settings

Firstly I would like to apologise, I could not find any section of the forums marked "mobiles", so landline seemed the next place to go (if anybody can forward me on to the right place I would appreciate it).
My company started rolling out iPhones just previous to the iOS7 release. They are all BT but you need to enter the APN (etc) settings manually as BT uses the Vodaphone network.
When our users started to upgrade to iOS7 we found that the Mobile Data Settings reset back to the Vodaphone.
Does anybody know how to prevent this from happening?
As it's the only software update I've seen I'm not sure whether it was a one-off due to it being iOS7 or whether the future patches will not reset it as well.
    Thanks a bunch,
    Grant.

This is a problem with iPhones and any sub-branded network.
This isn't the only time they'll change, they randomly (seemingly) reset the details every now and then to the parent network settings.  Of the 6 iPhones I've just upgraded to iOS7, 1 of them kept the settings through the upgrade!
I've spoken with BT - who are well aware of the problem, but have no solution; and I've also spoken with Apple - who know of the problem and cannot stop it from happening.
Hope you get it sorted... let me know if you do!
    Maf.

  • Mac Mail Outgoing SMTP Settings for Exchange account

I can't seem to get my Mac Mail client outgoing smtp settings correct. I am receiving fine but cannot send. My companies IT person does not have any Mac experience and has asked that I use webmail. Please help.

Thank you sooo much for getting back to me. I am back to trying to figure this out.
I have tried to set it up with the mentioned settings without success.
I think the problem is with the Outgoing Mail Server address that was given to me by the IT person - "webmail.outdoordimensions.com".
Typically, when setting accounts up, I have used an address respective to the web access provider - i.e. "smtp.att.yahoo.com". However, this "Exchange" account is something very new to me.
Thanks again for your help. Also what is "TLS-wrapped"? I didn't find a setting option for this.

  • Exchange Account Settings

Hi, can anyone help with getting my mail setup. I am setting up to an exchange server. I have entered all details correctly, including email, username password - i have left the domain field blank. When I click next, the msg I get is "unable to verify certificate... While automatically discovering account settings, the certificate from "mydomain.com.au" could not be verified.
    Thanks in advance

  • Mail and ical randomly change internal server settings for exchange account

Ever since upgrading to Lion, I randomly find that my exchange mail account, my exchange calendar account and my exchange address book go offline.  When I look at the settings, I find that the internal server settings have been changed from the correct address to the word "sites".  Cannot figure this one out.  I have deleted and added the accounts numerous times.  Cannot find any error messages.
Just wondering if anyone else has every experienced this.

The last OSX update 10.8.1 fix it, uncheck Server Autodiscovery and it work perfect

  • Trying To Access My Account Settings?

I have two accounts - when I try to access my account settings - Tools - Account Settings - Window for account
settings: But, when I click on any of the choices (including my name) I get the following: "Account Wizard -
An Account with this name already exists. Please enter a different account name." When I switch profiles and go into my wifes account I am able to access her account settings with no problem.
The rest of my Thunderbird account is working normally.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm having what appears to be the same problem. All Google Mail accounts can be edited without problems, one that is Office365 shows a problem.
From the Thunderbird main window, right click on the afflicted email account in the account tree and select 'Settings' the Account Settings dialog is displayed. From here if OK is clicked, with or without any changes, or if any of the other dialog panes are selected ( Server Settings, Copies & Folders etc.) then Thunderbird dislpays an error box 'Account Wizard' with the message 'An account with this name already exists. Please enter a different account name.'
As far as I can recall previously everything worked fine with this email account, and mostly still does - I can still receive and send emails with it - only the settings page is now broken apparently since the recent update.
This is happening on Ubuntu 12.04LTS and Thunderbird 31.0.

  • Problem with exchange account setup

    Hello -
I have a user who is having a particular problem with her iPhone. We had setup an exchange account on the device and it has been working great until this week. Now when she tries to access the exchange email account the phone freezes and eventually boots you to the home screen with no error message.
We are unable to delete the account and re-create it. When we go into the mail account screen we cannot access the exchange account settings, it does the same thing freeze up and return to the home screen. Next we tried reseting the phone back to factory defaults but the exchange account did not reset (everything else did). With no way to delete the account we cannot create a new one.

Sorry, but it is still not clear.
When restoring an iPhone with iTunes, the iPhone is completely erased first followed by the firmware being reinstalled. After the firmware is reinstalled, there are two options. Restore from the iPhone's backup which is selected by default, or as a new iPhone which must be manually selected.
Did you do the latter? If so, this is the first time I have seen this reported - that everything was erased from the iPhone except for a single email account.

  • IPhone can connect to Exchange Server with incorrect password!

I have changed my Active Directory password, but have not entered the new password into the Exchange account settings on my iPhone. Nevertheless, my iPhone can still connect and get mail from Exchange. Thinking that perhaps it was because the iPhone was still working with a connection that had been established before I changed my password, I turned it off and turned it back on again -- and it connected and got new mail!

Don't blame the phone just yet.
The server is where the problem is..... The Exchange Server/IIS front end is the gatekeeper to your email. If the password is sent wrong, the server will reject you. Conversely, if your Exchange server is not authenticating at all, it will let anyone in.
What is probably happening is that your password has not synchronized from AD to Exchange. This is not unheard of, but if it persists you should let your Sys Admin know.
My guess is that you can log into your OWA (Web mail) with your old password as well.

  • My exchange account sent email does not show in mail

I am running a 2007 MS Exchange account and I want to use Mail as my mail software, all the incoming mail appears but my sent messages do not - does anybody have any ideas for a fix for this problem?

Had this problem too. Went in to my Exchange account settings in mail and switched theoutgoing mail server to use my company's SMTP server instead of Exchange. BOOM! All my sent messages showed up. Hope that helps!

  • IPhone conflict with MS Exchange 2003 set up for Blackberries?

My business uses MS Exchange 2003 and it is set up to push e-mail for Blackberries. Some of the employees have gotten iPhones, one with the new 3Gs. They tell me that it is easy to link their phones to the server for email and calenders. My tech people say, no:
    1. No VPN access from Iphone to network
    2. Might be able to get the phone to sync, but only when connected to a PC that is connected to the network, using activesync software.
    3. There is no way to get mail to the phone when offsite. (unless we send all corporate mail to an outside provider)
    4. Solutions to support MAC gear will require another box (server/pc) that is configured as a gateway… testing and config… not quite sure how long it would take, or what licensing/requirements.
    Who is right?

There is a way and it's very nice, took me a few days to get it right. with my method you will be able to u use your webmail just like it's active sync.. I'm not a good explainer but I'll give it a shot!
Go to your web mail service on a pc and log in, in your browser it says something like webmail.(companyname).com...ok now that u got that , on your iPhone make a new exchange account with the following info ^ > put the above webmail.com under the server field , now the rest of the fields have to be exactly right for this to work under email: your company email address, domain: blank , then for user name and password enter just like u would if u were signing in on safari... Boom it's that easy!

  • Exchange account verifies, but only shows folders unless logged into OWA

I was using iphone 3g with my exchange account perfectly when it was first released in July. During some point after upgrading to 2.0.1 or 2.0.2, I stopped receiving email to my exchange account. After several calls to apple, they advised it was my IT departments problem. However other people in my company are still receiving emails on their iphones.
Today, I realized that when I accessed my OWA account from my PC web browser, an email appeared in my iphone. However, only 1 email out of 9 was downloaded. It happened to be the very email that was highlighted in my inbox on OWA. As I selected other emails from my OWA inbox on my PC, they were instantly pushed to my iphone.
I spoke with some other people in my company who have realized they only receive emails if they leave their Outlook exchange accounts open all the time on their desktops. As soon as they close the outlook program, they stop receiving to the iphone. I don't have a desktop with a constant connection, and check my email via OWA when I can. Therefore, one of the reasons for purchasing Iphone. Not to mention my previous blackberry curve worked fine for me.
I am not sure what this means. I can access OWA fine from my safari browser, or any other browser. I was receiving email all the time before the previously mentioned iphone updates, nothing has changed in my IT department, and If I open OWA and select an email, it will push to my phone.
What does this mean, and how do I get the account to receive without being logged on to OWA? After all, isn't that the whole point of having exchange support on the iphone?
    Thanks in advance

  • How do you recover a deleted email from an Exchange account

Is there a way to recover an email message that was accidently deleted from the Inbox while using my iPhone?    The email account is an Exchange account, however I cannot find the message on the server after making the mistake.

If you navigate to your Trash folder the message should be there ... if not then perhaps this is a setting on your particular account (the Exchange server side, not the iPhone). On my Exchange account for work I can go to the Trash folder and not only find a deleted message, but move it back to my Inbox (or any other folder).
