IPhone No Service? But it says different on Coverage Map...
What's Up,
So, I recently made the big switch to at&t from T-Mobile to get the exciting iPhone 3G.
I made sure that before I got the at&t service that I could get service in my new area, using the coverage map on the att.com website. It showed the strongest color of orange, and said that I would have the best signal...
So, I take the phone home that day and I have absolutely no coverage. I wouldn't say it's completely dead, because in little spots in my home I can get about 1 to 2 bars, but those don't do any good because the phone call is just choppy.
So, what gives? How is that possible to not have coverage when the map says I have the strongest of it all?
Is there some preference or parameter in my iPhone I should tweak?

I'm in the same boat... and I live 3-miles from closest 3G tower. If your referring to 3G coverage... your signal strength will be totally dependent on the number of user's on a particular tower? If the towers bandwidth is full, you will be sent to the next closet tower... EDGE not much better.
I have endured 3G and EDGE signal strength (you can't go by the number of bars on your phone) ranging from No Svc to being max'd out. On avg, for what its worth, my 3G at home hangs around 2-3 bars and EDGE will be 2-5 bars. At midnight and on rare occasions I will see my 3G max out... bottom line, AT&T needs to bolster their bandwidth capabilities

Im trying to find my iPhone via iCloud but i does not show a map with its last know location. It only shows the menu options. My iPad and Mac show up but the map of my iPhone does not. Can anyone help?
If your phone is turned off or not connected to the Internet, you will be unable to locate it. Last known location is only stored for 24 hours.

I'm trying to sync my iphone with my itunes on my computer but it comes up with a message saying 'cannot connect to this iphone as the newest itunes needs to be downloaded'.. i downloaded this to my computer but whenever i open itunes it looks as though it isnt the new version?

How to restore Iphone 4 content but for a different carrier?

I just recently unlocked my iphone 4 and backed it up before doing the factory reset. When I inserted the new sim card for a different carrier I wasn't able to restore my old content (music, photos, contacts, etc). Is there any way to restore all my old data without going back to my old carrier? Or a way for my phone to recognize my new service with my old content.
ThanksIf you select the Download Only, which is what I do all of the time, even with a broadband connection, once it is finished downloading, you go back to the Check for Update button in iTunes and it will detect the file there and then begin uncompressing the file and installing it. After the upgrade you will not need to restore the firmware, just restore your backup.

I am trying to sign-up to Sky Player however I cannot do so because when I press the 'sign-up' button on the web page it refuses to take me to next page and the Firefox has a banner saying 'missing plugins'. When I click on that Firefox cannot find the missing plugins! I manually download some but it makes no difference.
Had similar problems in the past with other sites and end up have to use IE instead!Install Silverlight.

If both iPhones are synced with the same Address Book under the same computer login account, then the contacts on each iPhone will be the same. With the Address Book on a Mac, you can sync select Address Book Groups only with an iPhone instead of the entire Address Book and all groups. You and/or your wife can create an Address Book Group or multiple Groups to be synced with each other's iPhone only. You can transfer the settings for one email account to one iPhone and the settings for another email account to the other iPhone. -
I updated my iphone and when it came time for activation it won't work and keeps telling me to try again. At the top it says "No Service" and I have my SIM card in and a good WiFi connection and have connected it through iTunes but it says I have no SIM card and need to disconnect and insert my SIM. I don't understand why this keeps happening and it's been going on for a wile now. I have tried over and over again to get this iPhone to work but nothig is happening. I've even gone on the website for support (apple.com/support) but cannot find anything that will help me with this situation. Can someone please help me find a solution to this problem? What computer operating system is involved in the Premiere Elements 11 and 13 issues? Same computer or different ones? Are you installing from purchased download installation files or from purchased installation disc? Does Premiere Elements 11 work completely on this computer whereas 13 will not?
Let us go through the typical drill so as to take nothing for granted.
1. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working with an individual home computer or in a
school or company network?
2. Are you running the program as Administrator and is there any "domain" account involved?
3. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Let us start by ruling in or out any of the above, and then we can decide what next.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.

My iphone 4 is dead after I updated to ios 6.1.3 it doesnt turn on and doesnt respond to itunes also. Visited Apptronix service desk but they say there is nothing they can do about it, and they have charged INR 10640 for a new one. Is there anybody with similar problem....

I have logged in to my itunes account on a different computer and none of my purchased music is showing up. I also have plugged my iphone in to get updates but it says I will lose all media and apps if I don't update on the computer where I sync everything. I have authorized this new computer so I don't know what the problem is. I can't get on my old computer with my itunes account because the computer is broken. Not sure what to do

Correct. it does not magially appear in other places. It will only be where you put it.

Correct as well. Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
You need to copy everything ( itunes library/contacts/pics/calendars/files/docs) from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old one, to the new one. -
since installing the latest update on my iphone 3gs this afternoon whatsapp now says it cannot access my photos. I have gone to settings-location services- but whatsapp is not listed in the list below. Please help!!!!

There is no logical expectation for Whatsapp to be listed under location services or for that to have any affect on what the app can access. -

IPhone 4S says NO SERVICE but able to make calls
I've had my iPhone 4S several days. When just looking at the phone it can go from 3 bars service, to no service, then it takes a few minutes to pick signal back up.
Secondly i've noticed that when im on a call.. obviously i start with signal, but then during the call the phone (top left corner) will say NO SERVICE, but i can still carry on with my call, so i clearly do have signal.
Anything i can do about this?? Or any ideas??Haven't seen that issue yet but you could try doing a hard reset (hold down the power and home button together for 15s) or resetting network settings (settings > general > reset > reset network settings)
also does it show you as having good service where your at or have you had issues like this before
