IPhone "No Service" Issue

In attempting to help fix by poor battery life issues in iOS 8, I did a "Reset All Settings." Following this, I have "No Service" with Sprint. I have tried restores, Hard resets, soft resets, reseating the SIM, and toggling airplane mode. When iOS first loads, it does display "Sprint" with one bar in the corner, without any text indicating whether it is LTE, 1x, or 3G. Shortly after, this changes to no service. The SN and all other numbers are visible, but "Carrier" and "Network" are unavailable.
I am not under my one year Apple Care, and the phone has not recently been dropped or damaged in any way. Any advice?
Device: iPhone 5S on the latest iOS

I have the iPhone 6 16GB that's a week and a day old which has no service on 3G, 2G and 4G. I've tried it outside, inside, airplane mode on/off, reset networ settings, restarted my phone, taken the sim out and turned it off, turned it on with the sim in again, and now I'm about to reset the whole thing (restore it and set it up as a new device). If that doesn't work, I don't know what will. Really hoping there's a fix to this! Right now it's an $1100 paper weight that occasionally opens spotify. Please, somebody, any body! I'm a poor student and this phone is the best thing I have, help would be nice! I'm on SparkNZ (New Zealand) running iOS 8.1.3 on an iPhone 6 16gb black... which has turned, essentially, into an iPod or iPad mini but only slightly smaller -.-

  • IPhone 4 service issues

So my iPhone 4 CDMA has a weird service problem. 90% of the time it has either no service and is searching or has 1 bar. It does however always have good service in 2 places, my bedroom (nowhere else in the house) and at work. Wifi works fine and it isn't that I am just living my life in dead service spots. If I am holding another iPhone 4 CDMA literally identical it will have great signal and mine 1 or no bars. My theory- I had my screen replaced (thus voiding my warranty) and this all started soon after. Did the techy do something wrong? Am I just missing a screw or something? I don't get how or why signal is great in 2 places and non existent in others. Please help me, I am a tech savy user as well so I know my way around the phone pretty well but this has got me stumped.
    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
Oh and I'm running iOS 5.1 and have Verizon

Do you or anyone have an idea of what it could be specifically that I'm missing or that is unhooked? Like I said I know my way around it pretty well. I could have done the screen my self except a family member took it for me as a surprise gift. I'm having trouble diagnosing what it actually is. I feel it maybe a ground issue. I've check and cleaned a few connections but no improvement. I don't think it's the actual antenna because it works sometimes.

  • IPhone 4s service issues

I am having trouble with the service on my iPhone 4s, particularly with it not connecting to my Vodafone Suresignal box. Vodafone said my phone has not synchronised with the data network for over a month ang gave me a new sim card, but it still isn't working. My work HTC connect fine! thanks.

I hope this will make you feel better, It's not just India, I have the same problem in New Zealand and Hong Kong.   I have to re-start my 4S everytime I lost connection to Vodafone.

  • IPhone 5 service issues in home that I did not have with iPhone 3,3GS, or 4

Both my wife and I have the iPhone 5. I have att between 3 and 4 bars with the LTE showing. It constantly gives me a call failure and I receive texts sometimes hours latter. I did not have this issue with my previous iPhones.  My daughters are still using the iPhone 4 and they do not have this issue. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?

I can answer a few of these. I don't know about the pause. The battery doesn't surprise me. The new apple devices are infamous for having battery life issues. I don't think there is anything apple can do but if you take it in, you can choose to keep or give up your engraving. Keeping it will extend the repair time by a week or two.

  • No service issue and poor battary life on iphone 5?!?!?!?!?1

cmon Apple./I have had my iphone 5 for over a month and keep getting this no service issue,..,the battary is terrible,.wont even last 8 hours with light browsing and I ahve used all the battary saving tricks,.I dont ask for much from this expensive gadget,.I just use it to text call and look at the net,.all three of which I have had problems with from day one!!!!! My iphone 3gs which I had for 3 years never gave me one problem?I have read countless threads on this issue,.please can you sort it out of help or offer a refund,.I am actually wanting to go back to my 3gs its got so bad and I am tired of reading all day to find a solution,.Apple used to just work!!what happened?

Went to apple again. Same problem. Drains 5% an hour on standby with everything shut and airplane mode. They said this is "normal" and REFUSED to replace my phone as the battery health was normal. They say, "The hardware is ok, so we cannot replace the phone". I had them do a full restore from recovery mode. DId not help.
Just to reiterate. I have done EVERYTHING- restore, full restore, shut apps, turned of location services, wifi, network, push mail, BG app refresh and reduced motion and set auto-lock to 1 min. Even auto-brightness is off and screen is at 30% brightness.
Now I am stuck. Poor battery and uncompramising apple. This is perhaps making me anti-apple from an apple fan.
Just wanted to ask, are such usage times and standby times normal? They are much less than what apple claims.

  • IPhone 5 No Service Issue

I posted this in the ATT forums but haven’t heard back.  Thought I would give it a shot here.
Short story – has anyone with an iPhone 5 had “No Service” issues with ATT and been able to fix it?
Long story – A couple of months ago they upgraded the towers to LTE and now the service is horrible.  Whenever my phone switches between LTE, 4G, and E it goes No Service first.  It is constantly switching so I cannot complete a phone call lasting longer than a minute.  It will also sit in No Service for extended periods since the tower upgrade.  I am the only one in the house with an iPhone 5.  The other phones are not experiencing this issue.
Has anyone had a similar problem?   How did you fix it?
I have called multiple times.  I have emailed.  I have chatted.  I have received no help on this issue.  A member of my family plan called them yesterday about this issue.  They said they would call me back on her phone at 7 to troubleshoot my phone.  They never did call.
Additionally, I have other problems since the “upgrades.”  The data usage is way off.  I have used a data counter and ATT is claiming I’m using considerably more than my counter shows.  I have tried to get credits for this but they say we will give you credits after we fix the phone.  They never fix the phone though so I never get the credits.  It’s like some weird Kafkaesque Catch-22.
I am really so sick of the whole situation that I just want to switch to a different carrier.  I don’t want the cancellation fees though and I want to port my numbers.  I would think I wouldn’t be subjected to the fees because the service doesn’t work, but I’m sure there is some weird catch to that as well.
    Thanks for any help

Since you didn't tell what troubleshooting steps you took, if any, do the followning steps:
    1. Reset phone (no data loss): press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
    2. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    3. Replace SIM card from AT&T
    4. Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
    5. Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup.
    6. Warranty service from Apple.

  • No Service issue even after Iphone Restore

    Hi,
I am getting No Service issue on my iPhone 4s. So I restored it in recovery mode by connecting to iTunes. However, there was no luck, the problem persist. Now, I am suspecting that this could be the hardware issue.
My main concern is, 3 years earlier, I bought this device in US and I am in India now. Also the device is out for warranty. I am not sure how do I connect to US support and get this thing repaired or replaced.
Anybody who had done this before?
    Regards,
    jay

    Thanks for reply Lyssa,
Yes, the phone unlocked by the carrier before you relocated to India. And I contacted the carrier in India, they replaced my SIM and its working fine with other phone. However with same SIM I am getting No Service on my iPhone.

  • "No Service" issue after updating iOS 8.1

My iPhone 5 is really giving trouble after updating all iOS 8.01, iOS 8.02 & iOS 8.1. Cellular network is come to halt, "No Service" issue is regular and i am not able to use my iPhone 5 as phone.
Please help me out else i have to switch to some other phone.

I have similar problem but with a 6:   bought new iPhone 6 four days ago, phone and 3G signal were fine in UK from Sat to Mon.   Yesterday, I traveled to Belgium and have had 'no service' problem since.   I am carrying a Nokia feature phone which is locked on to local network and working fine.
If I power off the iPhone and power on, it comes back and joins the network.   Five or so minutes later, it has dropped the network and will not re-attach if I put in/out of flight mode; needs power reset, and then drops again.
It is conceivable that this is a carrier issue but given that Nokia is fine and all the postings that I'm finding on various discussion sites, then I feel that it is an iOS issue.   I'm booked in to visit the Apple Store at the weekend.   My previous iPhone 4S was running iOS 7 and had no such problems.
So, carrying an expensive brick at the moment and hoping for an iOS update that will resolve this.

  • I am frequently experiencing Iphone 5 camera issues, while taking photos all of the sudden the camera going to hang mode

    Hi,
    Greetings !!!
I would like to know what is the root cause of Iphone camera hanging ?
I am very frequently experiencing Iphone 5 camera issues like while taking photos all of the sudden the camera going to hang mode with full of pink & black line.
I noticed while camera app turns ON the phone going to hand.
I went to apple services server with this problem & they said they didn't see any errors.
Kindly response with my request, and provide me the solution.
    Thannks & regards,
    -Vamsi

That often happens with cameras when you take pictures of a computer screen. LCD screens "flicker" and the camera will often catch the flicker.

  • Searching... No service issue west Michigan???

I am in west Michigan and having the same searching, no signal issues only at home at or thru the night. I can always turn off and back on and get a signal temporarily. When I leave home in the morning and head to the lakeshore I have no problems. Have spent hours with both Verizon and apple, after reading thru all of these forums it looks like it is being addressed but as of now 8-2-11 it still is not working. Very frustrated . This iPhone has worked perfectly since feb, it started acting up a week or 2 ago that I noticed.

I just got back from my weekly travels.. I left Holland, MI on Tuesday, drove thru Chicago all the way up to Northern Wisconsin.  Drove back home thru the UP down 131 South thru Grand Rapids.  Not once during my entire trip did I encounter service issues until I returned back to Grand Rapids.  As soon as I went hit downtown GR my phone started searching for service. After 5 reboots and driving back to my home in Holland I was able to once again get and retain service.
This is definitely a issue with West Michigan... Come on Verizon... Get it fixed... I can have service in the North Country of Wisconsin, and in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, but NOT IN GRAND RAPIDS(the 2nd largest city in the state).... FRUSTRATED...

  • Apps Don't Always Load - Phone or Service Issue?

I have the iPhone 4S (AT&T as my provider) and awhile back when I did the software update iOS 5.1.1, I am now running on 4G. Now, I've heard many things about 4G - that it doesn't make your phone load any faster, it's not really 4G, etc. However; even with full bars when I try and run my apps (i.e. Instagram. FaceBook, games, basically anything require an Internet connection), it often "times" out and cannot load the app. I also have trouble sending and receiving e-mails, and text messaging as well as with Safari. I have had to turn off iMessaging because it always fails to send. I'll get error messages saying my connection has timed out, cannot refresh feed, server cannot be reached.. Obviously when I am connected through Wi-Fi, I have no issues but when I am only connected through 4G/Edge. Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Is this a service issue with AT&T or is it my phone that I will need to bring in to Apple to have them check out?

Thanks for the suggestion, and I realized I forgot to include that I have tried exactly that! I've tried to reset my phone as well as restore it to factory setting hoping there was some glitch and it'd be gone by doing the reboot but nope. It's just frustrating because I can see I have good signal yet my phone isn't working like it should be. Plus, it's not like having the iPhone is cheap!

  • My iPhone 4 service always go off how can I service

My iPhone 4 service always go off how can I solve?

    Hey there,
It sounds like your phone is constantly losing connection to your cellular provider. I recommend these troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:
    iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4429
Turn iPhone off and then on again.
Remove the SIM card and verify that it's a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it isn't damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
    Restore the iPhone.
If you're still experiencing No Service issues, contact your carrier to check for any network or account issues that could cause these symptoms.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling
