IPhone *not* cause of Duke on-campus network DOS issue
Some may recall a network denial of service issue at Duke Univ, some weeks ago, reportedly blamed on the campus population of iPhones...
Below is a link to a Duke Univ update that clears the iPhone as the cause... The actual culprit was a bug in their Cisco managed hub network:

IPhone not connecting to WEP 128 Wireless network after 1.0.2 upgrade
Hello all,
I have the iphone since the last week. I was pretty happy with it until I upgraded the iphone to version 1.0.2.
From that very moment, the WEP Hex/ASCII Key option dissapeared when setting a connection to a wireless network. Mine was working with 1.0.0 and now it does not work.
I am Telecom engineer, and I pretty sure everything is correct. Mi 128 wep key is 13 characters long and (of course) 26 HEX long.
I have tried putting " before and after the ASCII key and also entering a $ sign before the HEX key.
I have also disabled the Auto caps, just in case.
After all this testing and a quick look at google, it seems that there are more people with the same problem.
Could anyone say to me if there is any other way? Or if apple is gonna release a new version with this issue fixed?
I am quite dissapointed.
BTW: I have tried all the stuff of reseting the router and "forget setting", etc.
BTW2: To switch to WPA may be an option in my network by it is no way a solution as the majority of the public AP use WEP....I am using a Linksys BEFW11S4 and I've tried to make the WEP key work on and off for the last 2 months while tapping into other people's wifi to get by without it.
Previously, when I chose someone else's secured network from the 'available networks' list, it would open a window and ask for password. But if I selected my own secured network it wouldn't and would just say "unable to join XYZ network".
Here is what I did tonight and I'm not sure which step did the trick, but it's worth a try:
1 - On the router, I went into the Password tab and entered a password. Previously I hadn't been using any.
2 - On the iPhone, I clicked on the little arrow next to my network's name. In the following screen entered the DNS address of my router (on Linksys the address is found on the Status tab).
I now have it connected to my network. I disconnected and reconnected again without having to enter the password, so either it's saving the password someplace or it's the DNS address that did the trick. The iPhone MAC Address shows up in the DHCP Active IP Table of the router and the router is still WEP protected.
I hope this wasn't too confusing. If you reply, please tell me how you feel about the $200 price drop today! -

If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. I am trying to print from my iPad to a HP 3520 printer using AirPrint. I have connected the printer to my local wireless network and it confirms it is connected. However my iPad can not find the printer on the network when it searches for it. I am using an AOL supplied router and have read reports that this can cause problems. Is this the case? How do I resolve this issue?

That indeed can be caused by a router as Apple's AirPrint uses Bonjour to communicate with the device.
Bonjour Services relies on IP Multicasting which have to be supported by your network.
To isolate the problem, please follow the steps below to enable Wireless Direct and directly connect the iPad to your printer (which means without using the router).
Once the iPad connected to the Wireless Direct network try printing and check for any difference.
If the printer can be found via the temporary connection but not through your router that indicates lack of Multicast support or wrong configuration of your router.
In such a case be sure to contact AOL and check if the router support Multicasting, if so ensure it is enabled within your router configuration, as well ensure it have the latest firmware installed..

My iPhone 4s will not connect with my home WiFi network. I have ios6 on my iPhone. The connection was working perfectly before I updated my IMac and my MacBook Pro to ios 10.8.2. I have had ios6 since I purchased the phone a couple of months ago. It searches for a network and finds them, but when it asks for my password, it will not accept the password. Have never had this happen before.

Has anyone else had issues with phone network being unavailable on iPhone 4 since updating to iOS 5.0.1? My iPhone 4 is continually searching for a network and does not find AT&T, my provider. I swapped SIM cards with another iPhone 4 running ios 4 and established this is a device problem, not a SIM card problem.
Does the device get any signal?
Sounds like the device may have had a hardware failure. If it is out of warranty, the only option is the Out of Warranty replacement.
AppleCare is only an option if it is still under the original warranty. -
I just purchased an Apple TV. I have a pc running windows 7. It is connected to a router and the router is connected to a wireless router. I connect my iPhone, iPad and apple tv to wireless network but do not know how to put the pc on the wifi network so the Apple TV can do home share.
I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.

iphone does not support dual band. it only woks on the 2.4Ghz band. make sure that your router is set to broadcast the 2.4ghz channel as well.

My MacBook Pro, running 10.7.3, does not recognize when my iPhone and iPad are on the same network, thus it does not synch. Any ideas?
Try the basics first:
Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

NPS server is a 2012 R2 in a fresh domain. I'm using a Go Daddy standard SSL. I emailed myself all the GoDaddy Root and intermediate certs that I could find and installed them on the iPhone but I still get the "not verified" after entering the
