IPhone not charging off automatically
I charged my iPhone then all of a sudden it turned off then now it's not charging
Hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button together until you see the Apple logo. That should reset the iPhone.

IPhone 3G switches off automatically
My iphone 3G switches off automatically when the carrier GSM signal is very low. Has anybody faced this problem? If so please let me know about the possible solution. Thanks.
No, it never works no matter where I am, its stuck. I haven't had 3G no matter where I've been for over a month now. I am sitting right next to other iphone users whose phone is on 3G with good signal strength (same iphone 3g and sw I'm running). It's always gotten 3G at my house, now it never stays on. I'm running the most recent SW. In Network settings I can switch it on, but the second I leave the screen it switches off. So annoying because I get feedback from computers and tv and it's SLOW!

My iphone 4 turns off automatically after screen lock
Hello guys,
my iphone 4 turns off automatically after screen lock, i have to press the POWER + HOME button during 10 secondes for reboot.
And it's like that every time i lock the screen.
Please can someone help me ?
thanks.Standard troubleshooting steps are reset, restore, restore as new.
Since resetting isn't working, try backing up and restoring through iTunes. -
My backlight will not turn off automatically. I have to manually turn it off and forget to sometimes and that drains my battery. Does anyone know how to make it turn of automatically after a few seconds?
Use the Settings app.
Settings > General > Auto Lock
Is Auto Lock set to Never? Change it to less time. -
My iPad will not charge off my cars USB audio socket any more, will light up and states NOT CHARGING in the top right hand corner? Is this normal? the USB will charge other devices.

My iPhone 4 getting off automatically while battery 60% or more and turn on when i plug in please advice it is battery problem or hardware i use this mobile for 2 years and 3 month.
Thanking you.1. you may have to take it in to Apple and get an out of warranty iphone for $199.
2. you can get your information from a backup of your phone. you do have a backup of your phone right either in iTunes or icloud. If you don't then your answer will be no. -
HT4623 my iphone is shut off automatic and not connecting to computer
hello
I am having the same problem! I have an iPhone 4S, and last night before I went to bed I tried to update to IOS 6.1. It was taking a while, I must've fallen asleep while waiting for it to update. I woke up this morning and my phone alarm had not gone off. I looked at my phone screen and it appeared to be off. I held down the "Hold" button, thinking it had turned itself off, and it displayed the Apple logo and then the "Plug into iTunes" screen. I plugged it into my computer, and iTunes said I needed to restore it. I have tried several times, and it won't work. It will go through the process (it takes about 15 minutes), and then as it is finishing, a window will pop-up saying "the iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored". I am worried because it won't restore, and also because my iPhone isn't named "iPhone". It is named something else. Could my iPhone be damaged from the IOS 6.1 update? It was working perfectly normally last night, I have not dropped it or gotten it wet. I am updated to the most recent iTunes update, and Apple's Troubleshooting Tips are not helping at all. Anyone have any ideas?

IPhone not charging after 1.1.3 update
This may or may not be related to the 1.1.3 update. My update went fine yesterday. Took my iPhone home with a full charge. This morning, the phone had turned itself off, as the battery had drained. I did not have either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connected, and had no open applications (e.g. Show Traffic was not on). Now it seems that the iPhone will not receive any charge either from the dock-computer, or directly from the wall power socket, using the power adapter supplied.
The phone is legal, and has no 3rd party apps on it, or ever has had.
Anyone else experience this and can provide more information, or a fix?
Cheers.I also had this problem after the 1.1.3 update. The problem is not that the phone is not recharging, but that it is not indicating that it has been recharged. To fix, simply reboot or do a hard reset:
Press the home button (the big circle below the screen) and the sleep wake button (the button on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
Hold both buttons simultaneously for a few seconds, Ignore the "Slide to power off" and keep holding
The iPhone should now shutdown automatically - (fade to black)
Turn the iPhone back on by hitting the sleep/wake button.
You should now see the Apple logo, your iPhone is restarting and thus booting up.
You have completed a hard reset successfully.
The Iphone should now correctly indicate its level of charge. -
IPhone 5 turned off automatically
I have bought iPhone 5 couple of days back and it has turned off automatically. No physical damage or mishandling has been done to the handset
Let it charge for at least 20 minutes.
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data. -
Vista does not recognize my iPhone / Not charging
Two problems:
1. Extemely slow charging:
- I've had my iPhone plugged in to the wall all night. The battery meter only shows 20% power.
- When charging from my computer or the mains, the charge icon does not appear.
- I've tried charging off my laptop, desktop and the mains.
- I've tried using the cradle and just the usb cable by itself.
2. Widows does not recognize my iPhone:
- I have Vista 32bit
- I have tried multiple USB ports, all of which work with other devices
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes about 10 times now
- I have restarted iPhone and my PC many times now
When I start the machine, this is the sequence of events:
1. I get a message saying:
"Windows needs to install driver software for you Unknown Device"
2. I get a message saying:
"Installing device driver software"
3. I get a message saying:
"Windows couldn't find driver software for your device"
- I click on "check for a solution"
4. Then it tells me:
"Windows Vista does not support midiport device"
PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GO COMPLETELY CRAZY!!!

If you are running 64 bit Vista it will not work with the iPhone.
If you are running 32 bit Vista make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (7.5). The reboot the phone - hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until an Apple logo appears (about 8 seconds).
Here's a tech note on resolving this type of problem:

IPhone not charging, not recognized by computer
Last night I plugged my iPhone in via its USB cable and the AC adapter and nothing happened... I tried my iPod's cable and AC adapter and it started charging, but when I got up this morning, the battery was still about 25% and not charging. I don't know when it stopped working.
I tried the iPhone dock with the iPhone's cables and AC adapter, the dock with all the USBs on my computer, the USBs without the dock, and nothing. When I plug it in to the computer, a notification pops up that a USB device is found, and then one a few seconds later saying something has malfunctioned with the USB device and that windows does not recognize it. iTunes never opens.
I've restarted the phone and reset it. I have not updated to 2.0.
The phone plays through the inMotion speakers I have (connected via the dock and the "line out" cable), so I think the connector on the phone itself is ok since it's sending music through.... is the cable bad? I'm a little nervous since my battery is so low and I have no way of charging it. There isn't an Apple store anywhere around me so going there is out.
Please help
Message was edited by: Liz SkerisHad the same problem with my 2G. I fell asleep and left it playing the ipod all night, the next morning my phone was completly dead. That day I charged it for 10 hours, the battery indacator only showed 10%. I thought the battery was a goner. So I turned it off for 2 to 3 hours and when I turned it back on the battery was fully charged. Dont know if this helps you are not but you can try it.
Now I have a question. How can I uninstall an APP? -
IPhone Not Charging While On A Call
My iPhone 3G (currently running 3.0) refuses to properly charge while I am on a call. I used to be able to talk and charge at the same time, but lately, it shows the 'charging' symbol for a while and then just switches to 'connected'. The first time it did this, I realized too late and was left with a long and boring commute to work.
I am quite sure it has nothing to do with the update to 3.0, because it started doing this a day or two before I made the upgrade.
I usually connect to my laptop when charging, but I also tried connecting via the wall charger, which resulted in the same problem. I don't think it's a problem with the cord I use; I tried it with my Dad's too and it does the same thing.
The moment I hang up, though, I am able to charge my phone with no interruptions. It continuously shows the charging symbol without randomly switching to just connected.
I have a habit of making long, long phone calls and I like to have a fully charged phone when I leave for work or whatever. Does anyone know what the problem is/might/could be and/or how I could fix it?
Thanks.
Note: I was unsure under which topic this issue would be most appropriate and decided this was the best one. Please don't flame me if I'm wrong.I've noticed that while I'm streaming content on the 3G network my phone will not charge either.. Even while connected to my laptop it will not charge while streaming. I believe this may have to do with the 3G bandwidth.. Try making your calls while 3G is turned off.. I think it will charge simultaneously and I'm curious to know if this will make a difference.

Iphone 4s switches off automatically
Hi,
I bought my iphone 4s in dubai, one n a half mnth bk... In a week's time, i noticed that my phone turns off automatically.... Only when i press the home key and wake/sleep buttom together it switches on.And now atleast once a day it has started to happen.. we do not have an authorized apple service centre or dealer in dubai... What do i do???Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
If you have tried ALL the troubleshooting steps recommended and you still have the issue, then there's nothing else you can do. Bring the phone in to Apple for evaluation and probable replacement.
