Iphone not communicating with computer

iPhone4 not connecting to computer - when i first accessed it it recognised it and made it so i could start using my phone but now after plugging it in again nothing is happening - it doesnt even charge!! however if i turn the phone off and plug it in then it turns itself back on again but again it does not charge or connect to itunes - i have tried services.msc in the run menu and the apple device has started so i am very confused - please help only got my phone 2 days ago!!!xxx

Have you tried a Reset on the Phone...
Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Turn the Phone On...
If that does not help... See the Information in these Links:

It will photocopy and all the lights are on.
I followed the troubleshooting guide and deleted the printer. it will not communicate at all.

I see by your post that the Mac isn't communicating with the printer.
I will be happy to help you.
Restart the Mac and the printer.
Check the system profile to see if the printer is being recognized at all on the Mac.
Go to the Apple, select about this Mac, click more info, select hardware on the left side of the window, then select USB under hardware, on the right hand side of the window it will list all the USB devices connected.
Check to see if the printer is listed.
If the printer isn't listed then try another USB port on the Mac.
I would try the printer another computer to rule out the USB port on the printer is damaged if you have one available if you are still having issues.

Destjet F4480 not communicating with computer

This printer will not communicate with my new computer since we changed to 8.1. We have tried everything, my computer now says HP is there, but nothing will print.

What's the problem and how do I fix it?

First, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (7.6.2) by going to iTunes> Check for Updates.
If you've got the latest version, try resetting the sync history in iSync: Open up iSync from your Applications folder. Click on "iSync", and then "Preferences" and choose "Reset sync history". From there reboot your computer and your iPhone.

Keyboard not communicating with computer

When I first boot up my HP All In One, I try to enter my login information but no characters appear. So I restart and am able to log in. But the keyboard stops working. When I hit a key, nothing appears on the screen and I hear kind of a beep (not like normal keyboard sounds).
The keyboard works on my Dell laptop (I'm using it there now) so I figure it must be the keyboard software on the HP. But if I download any software updates for the HP, how can I input my product information without a working keyboard?
The HP is only about 2 months old, by the way.

hmm Im not really a a tech export or no anything about the HP all in one models but with most computers you can buy a replacement keyboard that if the computer has the right ports such as a usb port you can plug in a new keyboard.

BB not communicating with computer & an"Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException" issue

I am stuck between a rock & a hard place. I would really like some advice that will prevent me from losing all of my contacts data.
Firstly, I have not backed up any of my data from my BB! I have now very quickly tried to rectify this today, uploading the software and downing loading all updates.
I have some corruption or other on the BB that has caused me to lose 4 of my 5 email accounts and also unable to access the unread emails in the remaining account or text/call out.
One of the messages that I get on the BB is Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException (the other is longer and I cannot remember what it said, but it was similar).
I have read that I need to backup, wipe then restore to get rid of the corruption. My problem is that I cannot back up therefore if I go ahead and clean the BB then I will lose all of my data?
Is there any way I can transfer the data to my SIM card - it isn't a lot at all, maybe 100 contacts............
Looking forward to a solution, have spent all day mucking around with troublesome technology - when I had so many more important things to do......

You can use any OS...you are not limited to your carriers. If you do use an OS from other than your home carrier, then insert, between steps 1 and 2 in the above, the deletion, on your PC, of a file named VENDOR.XML.

OfficeJet Pro 8600; scanner not communicating with computer

When I try to scan, it appears as though the OfficeJet Pro cannot communicate with my computer. The computer is connected to the internet, and the OfficeJet Pro is connected, but it won't scan. I have used the Office Jet Pro for these purposes before, and it appears to have stopped working all of a sudden. The error message says "no computer found."

Hi shoffice, and welcome to the HP Forums!
I would suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration. You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

CD drive not communicating with computer

I get this as a message when my CD drive spits out disc without burning it:
"The disc can’t be burned because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0x8002006E)". The CD drive makes a loud noise and does not complete the burning of disc.
It used to be able to burn CDs, but now does not. Is there anything I can do, or does it need to go to the repair shop?

This is mot likely an issue to the optical eye of the drive tht does all of the reading writing.
You can try having it cleaned which you would have to get a cleaning disk for about 4 bucks and that will clean the eye.
Otherewise it would be to the repair shop for a diagnostics to see what exact part of the drive is having the issue and proceeding from there

I had this.
On checking the iPhone the iPhone Number was not ticked and the whole option to change it was greyed out.
I removed the Apple ID and waited to see if th Number got ticked (Settings > Messages > Send and Receive).
It did not.
I put the iPhone in Airplane Mode
After a few minutes I "restarted" the iPhone by turning off Airplane Mode
This time the Number was ticked.
I Added the Apple ID and then restarted Messages on the Mac.
I soon got the pop message about the iPhone using it's Number and the Apple ID and Accepted.

Computer not communicating with printer(s) scanner

I recently hooked up an Officejet J6480 wireless printer. I also have a J5780 hooked up via USB. After hours, and I mean hours, of being on-line with Tech Support through Chat and uninstalling and reinstalling, several times, and trying numerous things, neither printer has communication with the computer for scanning. The J6480 will scan if you go through Paint so it is functioning. The J5780 I haven't tested. I have downloaded drivers and every other thing that was suggested and the computer is not communicating with the printer for scanning. I have a Dell computer Inspiron 530S and am running Windows Vista (32) May I also say, that I disable the Firewall & Virus programs when downloading, etc. so it doesn't interfer. I have tried everything but dynamite to get the scanner to respond. I've downloaded the Patch suggested in the drivers listings and everything. Im beside myself because the J5780 scanned fine until I installed the J6480. Now the window on the printer says there are no scan settings available in the window on the printer. Chat Techs, I think, are beside themselves too. I uninstalled the J5780, installed the J6480 and then went into 'Add a Printer'. Everything went fine except the scanner. I get a message from Solution Center saying there is no communication between the computer and the scanner. I think something is missing here. If anyone knows a solution I would be more than grateful. HELP!!!!

Did you do an L3 uninstall of all HP software and start from scratch? The L3 uninstaller should be on the install CD's for each printer. You may have to do a search of the CD to find it.
Tell me what router, ISP and encryption type you are using? Also, what kind of security software are you using?
Have you done a WIndows Update and updated your security system? Do that between the L3 uninstall and the re-install.
There is a lot going on here. I'll hang in there with you...

My MacBook is not communicating with my desk top to enable printing from my MacBook. I need to find out how to make that happen. I have a static IP address on my desktop but don't know what to do on the Mac Book.

My MacBook is not connecting to the host computer for the printer. The host computer has a static IP address which is different from the IP address that the laptop is looking for. How do I change the laptop so that it looks for the host computer's correct IP? The laptop is connected to the router. I know this because I can get on the internet with the laptop.

The host computer is Dell and the operating system is Windows 7. The printer is an Epson, and it is wired to the host computer with a USB cable. It does have host printing turned on.
The three have been working harmoniously for a long time. The router had to be reset; and after that, the MacBook documents would no longer print.
We created a new static IP address on the Dell but the MacBook is not recognizing it. We have researched the internet trying to figure out how to make the MacBook locate and recognize the correct IP address from the Dell so they can communicate with each other. The laptop is not communicating with the host computer because is is looking for the wrong IP. The host IP is 192.168.1.245 and the laptop is looking for 192.168.15.237.
I hope everything is clear. The person who originally set it up is no longer available to help me. Thank you for any help you may give me.

I can't sync my IOS devices with my last version of the address book! I updated my address book in my Macbook Pro OS X 10.6.8 and then it is not communicating with iTunes. I tried the 28 step troubleshooting to this issue, my iTunes cache is clean but still not syncronizing... Tried to use iCloud online to upload the vcf cards but in each group it losts a lot of contacts (and I don't know why, because they are far away from the iCloud limits...).

Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, follow Troubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. To determine your OS version:
1. Right Click on My Computer. Go to the ‘General’ tab (opens by default).
2. Click on Start then Run. In the ‘Open’ checkbox type Winver.
Either one should tell you exactly what version of Vista you have (However, it's likely you do indeed have Vista 64, in which case the iPhone will not sync properly).
