Iphone not compatible with Samsung LCD TV

Hi, I have an Iphone4 and a Samsung 6000 series LCD TV. I've tried tv out through an Iphone dock to the tvs AV input .... ie the three phonos into a single jack av lead. The iphone says playing to tv but the tv says "no device found". I rang Samsung and they say that the iphone is totally incompatible with Samsung tvs and will not play even through a different device. Does anyone know different please ?
I was thinking of getting a Zepellin, but seems this will have the same issue !

I read the user manual for the series 6000 TV and it should work with either component or composite from the iphone4...
I dont see details on the dock you are using, but if it has a video out on the dock itself chances are it is old... apple changed over to the universal dock and the video is embedded in the 30 pin
The component and composite format is a video standard that apple has nothing to do with every digital TV i have tested it on works fine (Sanyo, Dynex, Viewsonic).
I good way to check for sure:
1. try connected another video source to the TV (DVD player, camcorder etc)
2. try connected your iphone4 video to another TV
But if it is an old dock, that is most likely the problem, the only video cables that should work are the 30 pin to component OR the 30 pin to composite

IPhone not compatible with Apple camera adapter

FYI: I tried to use the little white Apple camera adapter with my Olympis and iPhone this morning. Got the "Accessory not compatible" message.

Does it say "Not Compatible with iPhone" or "Not Made for iPhone?" Because from what I understand, some accessories that come up as "Not Made for iPhone" will still work, they just haven't been designed to specifically work with the phone.
In any event, the phone may offer to put you into Airplane Mode to avoid any kind of wireless interference but that's just a precaution, and the adapter may still work.
My iHome comes up with a message that says it's "Not Made for iPhone" but it still works with the phone.

I just got the ilive ICP689B clock radio which says it works with the iphone. When I plug in the phone, the phone displays the message "The iphone is not compatible with the device". I have been unsuccessful in contacting ilive as of now and wanted to see if anyone has any similar experience and what can be done about it, aside from returning the device.

So it may not be compatible with the 3G. I found that they usually when it says Compatiable with iPhone, it usually only the original and it would need to say compatiable with iPhone 3G

IPhone not compatible with device - when it's not connected to anything

When travelling, I use my iPhone as my alarm clock. So I put it on Airplane Mode so it doesn't buzz when e-mails or calls come in. Last night, it was on Airplane Mode, wifi was off and so was Bluetooth. It wasn't plugged into anything.
Early this morning, I was half asleep but noticed it got brighter in the room. The phone had lit up. It had an error message: "This device is not compatible with the iPhone" (or some similar). I think that's strange, because the iPhone wasn't connected to anything.
Later on, I turned off Airplane Mode and got ready for work. I got the error message again - but still, it wasn't connected to anything (and still no wifi or Blutooth, both turned off).
It wasn't the normal incompatible error message I've seen when actually connecting the phone to a device, the one that asks if you want to go into Airplane Mode.
Anyone experienced this before? I did a reset once, and it did it one more time (this time with the longer error about switching to Airplane Mode), but hasn't done it since then.

the same thing happened to me, my iphone was in my pocket when i was at the movies and my drink had been dripping from condensation onto that pocket, when i got out my pants were wet in that spot and my iphone was wet. I showed that message too but when it dried out it stopped doing that.

Why? Because it does not have an LTE radio in it.
As for will Apple come out with one that is, nothing has been announced, therefore no-one knows. It's highly doubtful that there will be a version of the 4S that is LTE capable.

IPhone not compatible with iPhone dock

Hi,
I've been using my iPhone with both the original iPhone dock and the universal dock for a loooong time, but the past few months there has been a problem.
When the iPhone is connected to the iPhone dock/universal dock it says (rough translation): "This equipment is not designed to work with iPhone, do you want to activate plane mode [...]"
But all is original apple equipment and all should be compatible - what can I do ?

Mine is currently doing this, it is also not shutting off, it reboots right after I try and turn it off, and it is not charging through my Macbook either. It won't even show up in ITunes. When I connect it it says that a USB device is draining too much power and has been disconnected. Terrific. Can't charge and won't shut off.

Lenovo not working with samsung Lcd TV.need advice...

I am using a Lenovo 3000 N100 series AQ1 768 laptop.Its got no external graphics card.I want to connect it to my Samsung LA32B550 LCD TV via a vga cable.
I have all the hardware fixed but there seems to be something missing on the configuring section of the laptop settings that i am missing out on.I have installed the Presentation Director for lenovo 3000 series and also using the hotkey Function + F7 .still the problem persists and i do not get the output on the lcd screen.
One thing i should let you know is that as soon as i am turning on "attached" in the second monitor option in the display settings it turns active but when i say apply it reverts back to inactive.and the Presentation director says theres a configuration problem on the display.
Any help in this issue would be highly appreciated cause i the purpose of spending so much money on the LCD is to see the output on television of the animation work i do.Hence i need the output on screen .

IPhone not compatible with Blaupunkt iPod interface.

I spoke to Blaupunkt tech support and they said the device was too new for them to have a software update, and nothing was likely to change before February next year.
If you plug the iphone in there's an error message on the iPhone about the accessory not being designed for the iPhone.

You need to contact "epost." The issue is not an Apple issue....the epost software needs, I assume, to be updated.

HT4972 After upgrading iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1 getting the error "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored" HELP!

I attempted to upgrade my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1.1. I selected 'back up' from the phone in the device menu and iTunes confirmed that the phone had been backed up. I then installed iOS 5.1.1 which wiped everything on the phone & now I am getting the error "iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored".
I have tried restoring factory settings but iTunes simply will not restore from back up & I'm not sure what else to do!
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have the same issue and I KNOW my backup IS good. What happen is when you try to restore your phone apple says something like can I check for new updates and if you choose no, it just takes you back to the restore screen and a loop from then on. If you dont update from you phone then when you back up you will have the 5.0.1 back up and then when you update to 5.1.1 and then try to restore the backup from 5.0.1 it say it EITHER corrupt or incompatible.. It is incompatible and its hard as **** to restore back to 5.0.1. I followed the restore to a T and still getting errors. I lost all text history and have to reset up email. All just because I wanted a 1.2 Gigs of "other" space back.

Thanks, unfortunately that is another problem that is occurring, when I go to Update Software I get the message that software is up to date, with version being 7.1.2, I have tried to update through itunes, wifi, etc, and it indicates the software is up to date.
