Iphone not connecting to airport

Question

i've gone to network prefrences, both ethernet and airport say their connected, i clicked on airport, and then clicked on assist me, then went diagnostics. ethernet, network settings, ISP, internet and server are all green, i click continue, then select my location. now i clicked aiport, and clicked went to continue, then i clicked use aiport, and clicked continue, then i selected my airport provider, and then clicked continue, and it scanned for a while, then came up with Aiport, Airport settings, network settings, ISP, internet and server are all green. but i try to get my iphone to connect, and it comes up with safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.
so i went to airport utility, and clicked continue, and clicked i want to restore this airport express to its factory settings and then set it up again, so it restored its default configuration, even though nothing was changed.. i think. then i went back to network diagnostics and airport, ISP, internet and server were green yet airport settings and network settings were red. and i cant connect my iphone here, so i went to the funny symbol in the top right, that looks like radio waves getting bigger, and clicked, my own internet provider, and airport and network settings went back to green, so i tried again to connect my iphone, but it didnt work
if anyone has similiar problems, and a way to fix it
or just knows how to fix it, could you please write back to help
