IPhone "not delivering" text to one number - all others seem fine

Hi,
A friend of mine is in China and has encountered a bizarre problem.
He had a China Mibile SIM card but on Sunday , bought a China Unicom card so as to get 3G.
Everything works fine, except that he cannot text (SMS) one particular friend who lives nearby him.
Phone calls are not a problem and he can receive texts from her, but my friend tries to text he just gets the red exclamation icon and it says "Not Delivered".
Other numbers he has tried have no problems.
Anyone know what might be causing this?

I've just switched SIM cards with someone else who is on P&G o2 and has an IPhone 5 running 6.1.2. My sim in their phone still won't send texts to the problem number yet their sim in my phone will? Think it might be a network issue?

Not receiving texts from one number

As of Saturday, between the time of 4:00pm and 4:30, my phone decided to not receive texts from one number, which is an AT&T number. It was working before, and ever since then, it hasnt been able to receive texts from said number or send them to the number. I havent been able to get texts from the number either, and we both dont know why.
The thing is, I am getting texts perfectly fine from everyone else that I usually text.
I cant figure out if the number is blocked, because I am not the main owner of the family plan that I am on.

It's strange that you are having text imessaging issues with one contact. I use text messaging all the time and I am here to help! Do you have issues sending or receiving text messages to anyone else? Can you send and receive picture messages from this contact? Are you using a 3rd party messaging app? If so, please uninstall and trying using the stock messaging app. Which device are you using? Did you make sure the account owner didn't have this number blocked? Did the contact check with AT&T to see if your number is blocked? Please answer these questions so I can resolve this issue for you.

Emails are not being recieved by one recipient, all other contacts are recieving email

When I send emails to one particular company in my contact the emails are never received on their end its not even hitting their server. All other contacts are receiving emails from me.

I would guess they either have an edge device or a smart hosting arrangement with some company that is dropping the mail as spam for some reason.
Your mail provider will have server logs that will at least be able to identify the response their server got when it attempted to deliver the mail.
One thing to keep in mind is that the email protocols do not guarantee delivery, and many companies and ISPs rely on that in they spam policies.

Version 4 is oh so old.
The IRS and many other providers of forms are using products like LIveCycle which require at least version 7.05.

Not receiving texts from one number only.

I have an iPhone 5 through Sprint. I can receive texts from everyone else except for 1 number on the verizon network. This number can receive from me and call me but I do not get any texts sent from it.

We want those important messages to come through KELLYH40! What happens with your received messages from this line you are referring to? Does the sender see an error message? What messaging app are you using on each device? Can you receive calls from this line? Can you send messages to it?

Recently started not receiving texts from one person - AT&T user, also HTC One

I recently started not receiving texts from one person. He also has an HTC One (older model) but has AT&T as his provider. We were texting back and forth last Friday morning (11/8) and then he called me and ever since then I have not received a single text he has sent. He is receiving all of mine and we can receive phone calls back and forth, but his text messages are not coming through. We have both tried restarting our phones and I have also tried deleting him as a contact and recreating it however nothing works. I checked to make sure he was not blocked (which I knew wasn't the case since I could receive phone calls from him as well), and even tried turning the "block contact" on and back off. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. Right now we are using work arounds with google-talk and facebook messenger but it's very frustrated for me to not receive any of the texts that his phone is saying I am receiving.
It had started sporadically over the past few weeks where I would miss a text from him every once in awhile, but now I am receiving nothing. He is the only one that I am having this issue with as I have texted back and forth with multiple others the past few days with no issues.

Hi! I'm also having the same problem. I have an iphone 5 & one person (who also has an iphone 5 but has AT&T as a provider). We had been able to send & receive phone calls & texts until mid-November. Now, we can both give & receive phone calls from each other and she receives my texts, however, I DON"T receive hers. In fact, if I'm in a group text message with her, I don't receive any of the texts that include her, even though I can give/receive texts individually from the others in the group message. The other two in the group message CAN receive both her texts & mine. This is so strange - I was left out of a whole thread of text messages & none of us knew it. They thought they were including me (nothing bounced back) & I didn't know I wasn't receiving them. Since her texting works with both of the others, I'm concluding the problem must be with my phone. Do I have an incorrect setting? I'm not sure what could have happened. PLEASE help!

It seems that you have to choose one or the other, keep iMAcc addresses or iPhone.

Indeed you can merge the address book using iCloud. You can find the info here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998. I am not sure if you can de-duplicate though.
If that doesn't work or you want more out of your address book, you can always try connex.io (I work for the company). It's a service that automatically syncs, deduplicates, cleans and updates your address book across many different devices and services. Very strange behavior. Don't entirely give up on the "Manually Added Items" category ... I have seen things magically appear there even after I've checked and seen nothing there. I think things got real quirky when Apple released iCloud ... I don't remember extra copies of purchases lingering on my iPhone once transferred to my library before that. Sure, if I bought an album directly to my iPhone it would stay on there even after I sync to my library, but if I deleted the album from the iPhone it stayed deleted. Now it seems that there are some phantom copies that come and go with no explanation.

If you're re-downloading an album to iTunes and your iPhone, that may perpetuate the problem. What happens if you completely delete every copy of the album, then just download to your iTunes library and then sync the album to your iPhone from your library? A few other things to try:
1- Completely sign out of your Apple account on your iPhone, then re-sync to iTunes, then sign into your account on your iPhone again. Maybe throw in a Reset or at least a power OFF/ON somewhere in the middle.
2- Go to Settings/ General/ Usage, then select Music and when you see All Music, swipe your finger across it and tap the Delete button. Before doing anything else, Reset your iPhone. Not delivered to only one iphone user

Hi, I have been trying to send a message from my ipod touch IMESSAGE to one of my friend who has an iphone 4 (number), but it kept saying not delivered, so I tried texting my other friends to see if there was something wrong with my imessage but they are sending perfectly fine...So, I tried turning off my imessage and restarting my ipod and everything, but nothing works.I even search whether this person could possibly block me but I don't think iphone could actually do that, or is there a way they could make their phone stop from receiving msg? so please help me?
