IPhone not finding my Bluetooth in my VW Tiguan

Hi. I've tried about everything for my iPhone to connect to the Bluetooth in my car. I have a 2009 Tiguan with a navigation system. When I went to the dealership one worker's iPhone 3GS connected it to it, but the other worker's iPhone that was not a gs didn't. They tried and failed with mine. I am really upset about it because I just got this phone a few weeks ago and Bluetooth was a serious requirement when I bought my car and got a phone. Is anyone familiar with this problem? I've tried updating my software, and it doesn't do anything.

It paired with the first guys iPhone. Then when subsequent attempts were made with other iPhone it would not because it was still paired with the first. Look at your manual or manufacturer's website on how to unpair bluetooth. Now you can pair with your iPhone.

have you tried toggling bluetooth off/on again? if so, try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you could also try backing up the device and restoring the device as new.
In that case, follow the steps in: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If you still can't detect or pair with any compatible bluetooth device you should offer the device for service.
If you're not able to restore the device, this one might help: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Using his article will erase everything on the device, so make sure you have a backup!
    Good luck

  • Lumia 620 (Amber) does not find a Bluetooth 4.0 he...

I purchased a BT4 heart rate monitor (Polar H6) after my Lumia 620 got the Amber update as the update promised to bring BT4 support to my phone. On the Nokia specifications page for my phone also states that Lumia 620 supports "Bluetooth 4.0 + LE". However, my phone does not find the heart rate monitor and I cannot pair the devices. It does find older bluetooth devices and the heart rate monitor worked fine on my friends iPhone.
Is there really support for BT4 LE in Lumia 620? Has anyone gotten Lumias to work with BT4 devices?

Just found this when googling how to build my own BT4 LE app:
    http://developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Introduction_to_Bluetooth_support_on_Windows_Phone_8
"Warning: At time of writing (24th October 2013) no public APIs have been made available by Microsoft for accessing additional features of Bluetooth 4.0 LE on any device.
Underlying support for Bluetooth 4.0 LE is enabled on Nokia Lumia 520, 620 & 720 by the Nokia Lumia "Amber" update. All other Nokia Lumia WP8 smartphones are expected to receive BT LE support as a future software update."

  • Why is my iPhone not finding my network anymore?

I have been using my home network with my iPhone for months and never has issues. All of a sudden, my iPhone is not finding it anymore. It is encrypted, so I entered the network name and password (the correct one indeed) and I keep getting the message "Could not find xxx". My other devices and computers have no problem of the sort.
    What is going on?

One addition to this, I did a little research and found this post: +"I had this exact same issue. I didn't really want to restore my phone so instead I went into Settings>General>Reset and chose "Reset Network Settings." After my phone rebooted my 3G internet began to work again. Much simpler than restoring the phone...but I guess if all else fails you can try that too."+ but I tried and no luck.

  • IPhone not connecting through Bluetooth on iMac 21.5 inch with Nvidia 750 M

On my iMac 21.5 with Nvidia 750 M, both of my iPhones (iPhone 5s and iPhone 6) won't connect through bluetooth. I've tried disconnecting my wireless keyboard and mouse. The same connection error would pop-up. *By the way, you can talk in programmer's terms to me.*

An iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-7722
If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5458

  • IPad and iPhone not connecting by bluetooth

My iPhone 5 is not connecting to my iPad  by bluetooth. I have reset both and and have the hotspot turned on. The phone does not even list the iPad and just sits there and spins looking for devices. The iPad has the phone listed but says "connection unsuccessful, make sure Linda's iPhone is on and in range" which it is. Anything else I can do?

Sorry you can't connect your iphone and ipad via bluetooth, however you can connect via hotspot.

    If you're unable to print
Check these things if you are unable to print, or if you see the message "No AirPrint Printers Found."
Make sure your printer has paper, and enough ink or toner installed.
Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device.
Make sure your printer has power and is turned on. Try turning your printer off and then back on again to see if it resolves your issue.
Check to see if your printer has any error lights or indicators displayed on the printer's control panel. Check the documentation that came with your printer to clear any errors displayed.
Check with your printer's manufacturer to see if any firmware updates are available for your printer. Check your printer's documentation or contact the printer vendor for more information. A firmware update may be available, even if you just bought your printer.
    Have a nice day,

  • IPhone not discoverable in bluetooth menu

    Hi
My iPhone is no longer discoverable when in the bluetooth menu. Underneath the list of devices, where it used to say "Now discoverable", it now instead says "Not discoverable" ("Ikke søkbar" in norwegian). And sure enough, I cannot discover the phone from my PC the way I used to.
I have seen a few tips on various forums, such as turning bluetooth off and back on (obviously), enabling/disabling flight mode and resetting network settings. Nothing helps.
I didn't notice this problem before I upgraded to iOS 4, but cannot say for sure whether it appeared with the upgrade.
What could this be? I only hope it isn't a hardware problem...

Also having the same problem after upgrade to 4.0 (8A293).
    (iPhone 3GS)
Phone displays "Not discoverable" ("Ikke søkbar" in Norwegian) meaning that I am not able to locate the iPhone from any other device like my computer, or other phones.
But my iPhone works fine with already connected device. (Bluetooth handsfree in my car)

  • IPhone and IMac Will Not Connect Over Bluetooth

I've had an Iphone for a while and recently purchased an Imac. I've been trying to get my Iphone and Imac to synch through Isync over the bluetooth connection to sync the contacts on my I phone with the Imac. The Imac discovers and recognizes the Iphone, I enter the passkey to pair the 2 and then I get this message: "There were no configurable services found on your device."
If anyone has any suggestions on how to get past this I would appreciate it.
    Paulg

Firstly, you can't sync an iPhone over Bluetooth - that's why it won't work. Only via USB cable.
Secondly, you use iTunes for syncing iPhones, not iSync.
Bluetooth in the iPhone is for Bluetooth headsets, nothing else.

  • The Bluetooth low energy protocol is not backward compatible with classic Bluetooth protocol. My iPhone 4s can not find my sonny in-dash player. However my iPhone 3GS does it. Very disappointed with this. Any idea how it can be fixed???

    Hello,
You are correct, Blue tooth low engergy, BTLE.(only) devices are not backward compatible with Classic bluetooth and cannot connect.
However the Apple 4S and above have Bluetooth 4.0 support.. Hardware wise it has bothClassic Bluetooth, like the 3GS, as well as Bluetooth Low Energy.  There is no good reason why your 4s cannot communicate to your Sony in-dash player using the Classic bluetooth that resides in the 4S.
I know that this does not answer the why it does not work, but it should work. Do you have to somehow re-pair the new phone up to the player?  Not  knowing the model of the Sony it is hard to investigate.
And I hate to ask but are you sure that the Bluetooth radio is on in the phone?

  • Bluetooth on iPhone does not find my iPad

Bluetooth on my iPhone does not find iPad when both devices are next to each other.

    I agree.
    still...my opinions on Apple.....
If you just try to put yourself in their position you will understand better.
Music Rights, security, every body wants something like this and like that- with all they have to consider and take care to get not sued- it is no wonder thta there are some restrictions.
And why ? because they are the only one to realy care an respond to questions and claims. Ever tried to get help from Sony and other Bigies ? Its like talking to a wall.Their support is just a not specific call center. Or did somebody read recently that Sony Erricson was called before the judge because their Cellphones are failing after third time repair (true story), their batteries are burning, their music devices dont let you transfer the music you bought(MiniDisc) and so on? Seldom right?!
If I read news about Apple, I just wonder how many legal challenges Apple has to face.
Looks like kind of sport in the US, to try to get money out of Apple.
`Oh, my laptop did not work last night so I could not read the email from my love.
I realy became so depressed and my heart aches therefore soooo much . I aske Apple to compensate
    for this with ähhh.... 1 million $ ?! `
    cheers,
