IPhone not receiving wireless signal

It keeps on saying Searching. I am on Verizon and within area with service. It has not worked since updating to iOS 6.0.2

I know this may seem stupid, but did you try unplugging the router and then plugging it in again? That's always the first line of elimination. If you have, then try replacing the router, there may be something wrong with it. If both the MacBook Pro and the iPhone cannot recognize the wireless signal, there is an issue with the router. Security should have nothing to do with the devices recognizing the signal, just whether you are able to use the network or not. Nothing masks the signal from other wireless devices. (In other words, it will always show up in any WiFi devices "available networks" section.) The only way it would not recognize it is if the Wireless bands don't match. (i.e. Wireless G device with a Wireless N device). However, the majority of the upgrade wireless bands work backwards. I suggest switching the Belkin out for a Linksys, Netgear or AirPort and see what happens. I'm putting my money on the issue being the router.

  • Airport card (802.22b) not receiving wifi signal(?)

The subject line pretty much says it all. I am currently receiving the internet via an ethernet cable since it seems that my old eMac is unable to receive wifi signals from anywhere, even from my own modem which is roughly three feet from my computer. I have tried reconnecting the antenna wire to my Airport card and reseating it in the computer without success. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance to all who answer!

I checked System Profiler and this is what I got:
    Wireless Card Type: Airport
    Wireless Card Locale: USA
    Wireless Card Firmware Version: 9.52
Current Wireless Network: wireless network not available
Note: Airport was turned on at the time I checked System Profiler

  • Receive wireless signal and pass through via ethernet

    Hi,
I'd like to know if it's possible to pass through internet via ethernet from a Time Capsule that receives a Wireless signal.
    How can I do this?
    Thanks!

Well, to be more specific, this a scheme of what I'm trying to do (it represents the floors in my house):

  • Time Capsule not producing wireless signal

We have a time capsule serving as our main wireless for the house and it recently stopped producing a wireless signal and has a solid amber light. I've tried leaving it unplugged and I've tried resetting the device. Neither of those plans had any effect at all. How can I fix this?
I believe my wife bought this in 09 and its got a 2 TB hard drive. Not sure which version that makes this.

Unfortunately, a solid amber is light is not a good sign.
Try a complete Factory Default Reset on the Time Capsule using the steps below. This procedure will not affect any of the data that you have stored on the internal hard drive.
Power off the Time Capsule for 15-20 minutes or longer
Hold in the reset button on the back of the Time Capsule first, and keep holding for an additional 9-10 seconds while you simultaneously plug the power back in to the Time Capsule
Release the reset button after the 9-10 hold period and allow a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart
The Time Capsule light should normally stay solid amber for about 30 seconds and then change to a slow, blinking amber light, indicating that the Time Capsule has been reset and it can now be reconfigured.
If you try the Factory Default Reset a few times and the light stays solid amber, unfortunately the hard drive has failed, or there is an internal power supply issue with the Time Capsule.
You should take the Time Capsule to an Apple Store.....if you have one in your area.....or contact Apple Support directly to discuss your options.

If the Time Capsule is out of warranty or not covered by AppleCare, Apple will not offer repairs but there are some shops that specialize in this type of repair. See this link for more details:

  • Can not find wireless signal on laptop?

I've had an ACER laptop for some time now, and I've been using Linksys wireless routers. They've never been stable with my laptop. I thought I could solve it by buying a new router the Linsys WRT150N, and I got a Linksys wireless card for the laptop, all installed successfully. Till my laptop will not find the wireless signal and I find quite often I'm connected to my neighbours wireless from across the street!!

Well in this case if you connect the modem directly to the laptop are you online?? if no...contact your ISP to get the internet connection. If yes, then connect modem>>>>router>>>>laptop with an ethernet cable & reset the router for 30 secs in such a way that power light is blinking on the router. Also, do the complete network power cycle i.e., unplug the power cables from the modem & from the router...now plug in the power cable to the modem first once all the lights are solid green plug in the power cable to the router...& you will be ONLINE!!!

  • TS2621 iphone not receiving mail, but ipad is

About 9 hours ago, my iPhone stopped receiving mail.  I starting trying to figure out what was going on with my email accounts, but then I heard my mail notifications happening on my iPad in another room.  Sure enough, my iPad is receiving mail, but iPhone is not (for the same email accounts).  Not sure why this suddenly happened after more than one year using the email accounts on both devices.
I tried resetting my iPhone (multiple times).  I tried deleting my email accounts from the iPhone and re-adding them.  Still no luck.  Any help, please?
    Thanks.

Boa noite, tente fazer isto, apague o e-meil novamente, depois feche o aplicativo MAIL, ai depois adicione o e-mail do Yahoo, abra o aplicativo MAIL, e espere sincronizar.

  • WRT54G2 slows computer receiving wireless signal

Basically, i got a desktop computer connected to the modem n router with a laptop and ps3 receiving the signal. Internet works fine on all 3 seperately but the problem only occurs when the desktop computer is on the internet. When its on, the internet on the laptop works but is very slow and receives constant 'the connection has been reset' errors in the browser and also has trouble signing in to msn. With the ps3, the internet doesn't work at all with the desktop on the internet. Anyone know wuts wrong??

Upgrading the router's firmware might help you...Download the Firmware from here , Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device: -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page.In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router and check if your problem is resolved...

  • Gmail POP - iPhone not receiving new emails

I have my iPhone setup to retrieve my Gmail through POP. Everything has been working great until last week, when the phone quit receiving new messages.
I was able to create a IMAP connection and it worked fine, but that's not how I want to retrieve my mail.
I am able to temporarily correct the problem by creating a second POP email connection. Once it's created and retrieves mail, the original account starts working again. I can then delete the new account. I've had the problem 3 times and so far this has corrected the problem. Simply disabling the new account and re-enabling when I need the fix, doesn't work.
When it's not working, there are no error messages. I just as if there's just nothing to retrieve.
Has anyone else seen this problem or know what the cause might be?
    Thanks.

  • Iphone not receiving emails

I have successfully entered my email account so that I can still access my .mac email account after the iCloud transition (without transitioning just yet). My phone works fine and is continuing to receive emails after June 30. But my husbands is not. His laptop is receiving emails, but his iPhone hasn't received any since June 30. Any ideas?

Double check Settings and make sure everything is valid. And just making sure, you are aware of the difference between push-Emails and a battery-saving alternative where you have to manually check of new mail.

  • IPhone not receiving calls, and receiving double texts

I have read through these forums, and searched this on google and haven't found a solution to this problem, or anybody with a similar issue.
Over the last two to three weeks, I have had many people telling me they'll call, and it won't go to voicemail, but instead it'll state that # is not reciving calls at the moment, my phone will be turned on and will never ring. Also along with that I'll have an issue where I am receiving double text messages from time to time, it'll happen at least 5 times a day.
I would take my phone to Apple, but as it'll be hard to produce these results at the genius bar I'm not sure they'll be able to do much, and my iP4 is out of warranty.
So far I've tried these things:
    System Restore
    Reset All Settings
    Reset Network Settings
None of these work, the Restore will work for a day or two, but the issue will come back everytime.
Thanks for any help you all may be able to provide.

Well another issue I've been having with the phone, which I forgot to mention that leads me to think it's a phone issue, is it'll keep locking up in apps, and the home button will become non-responsive. I'll have to use the standby button to put the phone to sleep, then wake it up and then the home button will start working again.
The issues may be seperate, but it seemed to all start happening at the same time.

  • Why is my iPhone not receiving MMS from blackberry's?

I am able to receive picture messages from other iPhones but when a blackberry user tries, it never comes through. Is this a carrier issue or an issue with my iPhone?

I've been having the same problem! It's both sending and receiving though. I can send and receive pictures from iPhones right away. But when I send a picture to a blackberry, they receive it hours later ... always overnight (even if I sent it in the morning). Same with receiving a picture from a blackberry, I wake up and have received the picture they sent hours ago. Also, I have only had this problem since I updated my phone. I would say its the blackberry, but the blackberry owner I'm trying to send to hasn't had problems sending/receiving to other updated iphones.

  • Iphone not receiving Emails as an Attachment

We are running Datasync 2.0.1 build 53 and since the upgrade my bosses IPhone (IOS 7.1.2) can't view an email sent as an Attachment. When he receives an email that was forwarded as an attachment, he can read the main email but the attachment shows as (4) red and green lines that can't be clicked on.
    Any ideas why?
    Androids appear to be fine.

HTML mail is always done as an attachment in SMTP side of things, but
    that certainly should work.
Have you tried another device on this account to help us determine
whether this is an account issue or a device related issue.
Do others on this system us the same iPhone?
Perhaps checking this user's account with mcheck might help as well.

  • IPhone Not Receiving OS-X Maps LInks

I'm not really sure where to post this but I think it's more of an iOS issue than OS-X.
I get nothing on my iPhone when I send a set of directions via the "Send to Johns iPhone" share options in OS-X Mavericks. It worked fine on my old iPhone 4s but has since stopped when I upgraded. Any ideas how to fix this?
    Hardware: Mid-2009 MBP running OS-X 10.9.2. iPhone 5s 64gb VZN running iOS 7.1.
    Thanks, John

Are you sure "Johns iPhone" is associated with your iPhone 5S?  Might it still be associated with your iPhone 4S?  Is it true that your iPhone 4S was also called "Johns iPhone"?  If not, this is certainly not an issue.
If both iPhones were called "Johns iPhone", change the name of your new one at Settings > General > About > Name and end this issue.  It may take a while for your MacBook Pro to see the new name.  Rebooting may help.

  • Not receiving any signal input with LabVIEW SE, USB DAQ board

    Hello all, good afternoon.
I am having a little trouble with my DAQ device, I hope that someone will be able to help me.
I'm plugging a BNC pH sensor to a NI USB 6251 M-series board, to try and obtain the electrical response of that particular sensor, measuring the voltage output for each buffer solution (pH 4 and 7). Have 9.2.3 mx (lastest) drivers.
The pH sensor (floating) is plugged through a female BNC plug to the circuit board, signal is going through a signal conditioning  circuit (composed by a voltage follower on each of the wires to lower the output impedance of the sensor, and 2 bias resistors from AI+ and AI- connected to AI GND with the board case wired to the power supply ground, as seen in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4494)
I'm measuring in differential mode, as I said both wires of the sensor are going through a voltage follower each, and into the DAQ board. The Op-amps are being powered by +-15v as seen, again, in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4494
I did take the time to read the manuals and tutorials I found, did quite a bit of investigation over the last few days, and wired the system carefully.
In labview signal express, I choose to take an analog voltage read, and select input range from -500mv to 500mv, because the sensor should output at most -400mv to 400 mv
Now, much to my dismay labview registers in that channel absolutely nothing, only a little noise (~1 mV). I unplug the sensor and realise that whether the sensor is connected or not, it doesn't make a difference in the presented output - it's as if it the sensor wasn't there at all. And yes, I am measuring the correct channel. I tried connecting the wires to different AI channel pairs as well, could be a faulty one, but no success either.
If I plug a voltimeter to the wires that are going into the analog inputs (after conditioning), it measures about 50 mV, which is a lot more than the 1 mV the board is measuring, but a lot less than the ~180 mV I should be measuring with a pH 4 buffer solution.
I know for a fact the problem is not the sensor, and the DAQ board seems to be fully operational.
I think it might have to do with the signal conditioning I'm doing, or some sort of configuration with the hardware of the DAQ board.
So, any idea what I might be missing?
I'm a week behind schedule because of this, hopefully I will find my answer here.
Thank you very much in advance!

    Good afternoon.
Yes I have tried all of that. The board responds very well when a flat 5V DC voltage is fed into a channel.
However after much investigation I believe to have found the problem yesterday, it probably has to do with the operational amplifiers I was using. The input bias current was in the magnitude of nanoAmps, while for pH measurements an IBC of picoAmps or less is necessary due to the high impedance of the sensor. This was causing a drift of over 100 mV on my output which is about 2 pH and thus unnacceptable (even though I had the Bias resistors at the input to ground, like suggested in the NI tutorials, but apparently they were not enough to compensate for the high IBC).
In the lab all available op-amps suffer from this, even Instrumentation op-amps like AMP04 from Analog Devices. I still haven't had a chance to acquire new op-amps with the necessary IBC but hopefully it will do the trick. Makes sense since I checked the datasheets for every op-amp in the lab, and they all had IBC around 400 nanoAmps (and none of them worked), while every single op-amp for every pH meter circuit I found have IBC's of pico/femtoAmps.
The sensor I'm using is from AquaMedic, I'm not sure what the model is, but it's a cheap plastic sensor that comes bundled with their pH Computers.
Thank you very much for your input.
