IPhone Not Responding
iPhone 09 keeps hanging on start up. Have rebooted but still occurs. Not sure what to do now, worried about losing photo library.
Back to the main account then:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the apple and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Wifi issues with iphone not responding
Phone: iPhone 4s.
This issue started approximately two weeks ago. My phone initially started with the Wifi connection greyed out, I followed the appropriate steps to resolve this issue, and was successful. Now I can turn the wifi connection on without problems, but my iPhone will freeze (delay), then return me to my homescreen. Occasionally I do automatically connect to my known wifi, but then will disconnect and return to 3G. If I make an attempt to go to settings to manually reconnect, the phone again freezes. The phone seems to freeze after I click settings, then when pressing Wi-Fi, the bar turns dark bold, but freezes and doesn't open. I then have to click my home button, return to the main menu. Also if I open an app during the seldom opportunity my phone is connected to wifi, the phone will disconnect, return to 3G and freeze. I have rebooted my routers, forgot networks, reset network settings. I have thought about resetting the entire phone, but my phone will not stay connected to wifi long enough for me to back up my data to iCloud. I am thinking of stopping into my local verizon store, but I think they will redirect me to an apple store; which is 35 miles away. Of course the problem with me not connecting to Wi-Fi is my increased use of data. Now I am over 75% for my monthly usage with 2 weeks remaining, and do not see justification in possibly having to pay the overage fee. Many times when my phone freezes due to these wifi issues, or will not respond, I have to do the manual power/home reset. In conclusion, I need to figure out how to maintain my connection to Wi-fi, and stop my phone from not responding when I open my wifi settings. Thanks in advance! My Iphone 4S is doing the same thing.. All of a sudden the WIFI button is gray and not working. I chatted online with a Rep. He had me call *228 and hit option 1, then call again and hit option 2. All of a sudden the WIFI button was black. But it could not find any network. I shut it off and restarted it and now button gray again. I called that number again and still gray. I read somewhere else that a lot of people have a problem with the WIFI button. They say it basically just stops working. This was a replacement phone because the volume stopped working on my original phone. I assume they gave me a refurbished one because it didn't seem new. I'm due an upgrade in 3 months. I'm disabled and just hate driving to the store again. I wish there was an easier way.

IPhone not responding, 1602 error
Hi guys
Today i noticed my iPhone wouldn't respond, the lock & home buttons prompted no response and flicking the mute switch on/off different cause a vibration
When i connected it to my Mac, my Mac acted as usual, iPhoto popped up, with all my photos etc & iTunes recognised it.
I went to restore my phone, but i got the 1602 error. Then when i disconnected my phone & reconnected it, i get this http://imgur.com/28aWH
Basically, HELP?!
I'm running iOS 4.3.5, stock firmware and i have iTunes 10.5 with OS X Lion
All help greatly appreciated.Hello Thomas 1725,

Why is my iPhone not responding even after restoring
some one please help me !
Hello Hello Katrina,
It sounds like you are unable to restore your phone successfully, as it keeps getting stuck at the loading screen. I recomend putting the phone into recovery mode and attempting the restore again. The following article will assist you with that:
If you can't update or restore your iOS device
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
Use recovery mode
Recovery mode erases your device and restores it, which should resolve the issue. If you previously synced with iTunes or iCloud, you may be able to restore from your backup after recovery.
Turn off your device. If you can't turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time and wait a few seconds for it to turn off.
Plug the device's USB cable into your computer only.
Hold down the device's Home button as you connect the USB cable to it.
When you see the Connect to iTunes screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 one more time.
iTunes should open and display a message such as: "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes."
Use iTunes to restore your device.
If you don't see your device in iTunes, follow these steps for Mac or these for Windows.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,

Hi I am using an iphone 4 and its was working fine. Presently its giving browsing error. Whenever I am trying to browse internet by using safari or any other browser it retruns with an error message "server not responding" Even the same thing is happening with youtube also. The worst part is am able to check my mails, able to chat and so on... only thing not able to browse through the browser. I have tried restore option also. This is happening with both Wlan and Data con. too
Please help...I do not really know much about this kind of problem, but i may be your internet connection.
If you are on your own #G network then:
Go to Settings > then enable "Airplane Mode". Count to 10 and then disable it.
Then wait patiently until you get a good connection and then try again.
If you are on a nearby Wi-Fi connection then:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then disable then enable after counting to 10. Make sure that you are connected and then try again.
If all else fails, then you need to contact your provider for assistance.

I thought that I had backed up my pictures to icloud, but when I looked online at icloud, I don't see pictures listed. However, a few of the recent pictures have shown up on my phone.
IHow could I get these from my MacBook to my phone?
Thanks again.
When you log into you icloud account on your computer you are viewing data that you sync to icloud not the backups. You can't view the backups.
Look at the two links I provided.
You still didn't answer any of my two questions I asked. -
First: I get the message telling me that "iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later."
Second: In the Summary Tab under Backups, iTunes is telling me that my iPhone has never been backed up to my computer - which is not true. It's also telling me that my iPhone has never been backed up to iCloud. Again, not true. Although my backups are all missing from iTunes, I can see what I think is them in their folder: C:\Users\*your user name here*\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync.
Third: iTunes is SLOOOOOOOOW. It takes nearly ten minutes - sometimes more - to launch, and when it does, it's constantly not responding. It seems every time I touch something it stops responding.
Fourth: I've been searching this "help" forum for a solution, and I've seen many other references, yet the only suggestion I've seen from someone from Apple is a reference to a solution that is over 2 years old - and DOESN'T WORK for anyone I can see who's tried it!
I've tried everything I could think of, and that others have suggested, including:
Uninstalling and re-installing iTunes
Ensuring I have the latest version of iTunes
Re-setting sync history
Renaming my Backup folder at the path above, and letting iTunes create a new one
Running around the house whilst pulling my hair and yelling obscenities
None helped. At all.
Hmmm... Been a devoted Apple/iOS guy for years, but maybe it's time to switch to Android?I've resolved the issue with iTunes constantly not responding. It's a bit embarrassing. I had a DVD in the drive that was corrupt, and once I was able to remove it - BAM - iTunes ran perfectly.
I'm still getting the Sync Services message, and my backups are still not showing in iTunes.
Getting there.... I hope! -
While playing a game my iphone went completely frozen, it does not respond to any input, not even to holding down the on/off hey. Any ideas?
Try a reset. That is holding the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and release. That will reset the iPhone, but will not affect your data.
Thanks! It worked just fine!

iPhone 4S
IOS 7.1.2
This problem occurred after a whole days use of the iPhone without any hitches. I first discovered the problem by unlocking the phone and then swiping to the password screen to find that the top row was not responding to my fingers at all. Because of this I could not type in my password to unlock my phone. I then tried to restore my phone but could not because it needed the phone to be unlocked. I then tried holding down the home and sleep button at the same time until it turned off and on again, but this did not fix the problem. I also tried switching on the Voice Over mode on and trying to unlock the phone through that but of course it didn't work. I have also left it overnight but I was still unable to unlock the phone the next day. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.*UPDATE*
I have been able to use the Zoom function to zoom in and the keys on the top row no longer are in the non-responsive strip of area. -
ITunes 11.2.1 freezes when I connect my iPhone 5. 'Application not responding'
Hi,
Recently I upgraded Mavericks. Since then I cant sync my phone anymore. iTunes works fine untill I plugin my phone. Then the spinwheel comes up and stays there forever. In dock it says 'Application Not Responding'.
iPhone 5, iTunes 11.2.1, Macbook Pro 10.9.3 2.6 GHz 8Gb
Does somebody can help me out? That would be very very nice!Hi BlackNikes
I had exact same problem, but have now resolved it. If your problem is the same as mine your SyncServices folders have been corrupted while itunes was updated.
See my post or spyder683 post at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6223064?start=60&tstart=0
I am running Mavericks 10.9.3 and updated itunes to 11.2.0 and then experienced problems with itunes crashing, 11.2.2 didn't resolve the problem. I found iTunes worked fine if all my other devices (iphone, ipad, ipod) were turned off, as soon as I powered any one of them up and itunes detected them over wifi or USB itunes then froze with the dreaded colored ball spinning.
In Mavericks 10.9.3 the SyncServices folder is not visible going into the normal library/Application support folder, your instructions below took me to a different area in the system, or at least made these folders visible. Following your instructions I was able to locate and delete both SyncService & SyncServices folders and I launched iTunes again while my devices were powered up and the issue has gone. Bliss!!!
Many Thanks

Hi Culero,
The fix of deleting the SyncServices folder is for Mac systems. From your desktop / finder, click the "Go" menu at the top, then "Go to Folder ..." Paste this into the field: ~/Library/Application Support
The SyncServices folder should be in there. I had both a SyncService and a SyncServices folder. The second one should, when deleted, help with the problem you and I both had of iTunes freezing when an iOS device is plugged in.
Hope this helps -
Itunes application not responding when I plug in my iphone
I am on itunes 8.2 and when I plug in my iphone itunes just goes into application not responding.
I wait for a while and then unplug the phone and it goes back to working again.
On the phone there is no "Sync" message. In fact with the phone plugged in I can access the phones apps just as if it was not plugged in.
But initially when I plug it in, it does the double vibrate and shows the charging graphic so I know the cable is ok.
The phone is already on 3.1 apparently because some new features are there... like selecting multiple photos to email.
But I don't recall ever running any updates in itunes to make it use the new software as I read you were supposed to do.
I don't want to upgrade to itunes 9 because I read so many people having problems with it... but I wonder if the phone is no longer compatible with itunes 8.2
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.
-JeffDo you know if the problems people have reported with itunes 9 was before the 9.1 release?
I've heard tons of people saying they were reverting back to itunes 8.2 because 9 was so bad.
Am a bit nervous about that update because of that.
But an applecare guy told me that the 9.1 was supposed to address those issues. I have just not heard anything about that actually fixing things though. Still seems like a lot of people are dreading the new itunes 9.
If you are an itunes 9 user, did you have any problems with it wiping out your library or any terribly long syncing times?
Thanks. -
Decided to update iphone 4 to ios 5.1 and mid update it froze and the screen is black. Phone does not respond to any combinations of home and power buttons, when plugged into computer it does not see it is plugged in so I cannot restore or anything. Looks like the screen is on it's just unresponsive and black obviously. Has anyone had this problem? I was updating via wifi right in front of my router and my computer.
Spoke to a "senior advisor" in the Apple TV department. Her suggestions: change channel in router to minimize/eliminate wifi interference from other users; move router away from any metal - i.e., DVD player, phone modem, etc.; keep router away from wireless 2.4 gH phones, which are "notorious" for crashing wifi routers. So she confirms that the problem is one of connection to router suddenly dropping out.
My own feeling is that none of these fixes will do the trick, because it seems pretty clear that there is a hardware component here - the timing of the drops seems like an overheating issue. It takes 35-40 minutes for the box to warm up enough for the first drop; then each consecutive drop happens quicker than the one before, as it heats up more. Each time it drops, its tiny brain gets a little more scrambled; last night it finally wouldn't start up again at all.
My suggestion is that everyone who is experiencing this problem, please call Apple tech support and ask to speak to a senior advisor in the Apple TV department. Make them aware of this problem! -
Hi there
As I've mentioned above, I can't seem to access my emails from my blueyonder account on my iphone. When I first set up my account on the phone, I had no problems at all receiving emails. Then recently, just out of the blue I get the following error message: 'Cannot Get Mail, The Mail Server 'imap4.blueyonder.co.uk' is not responding. Verfiy that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings. I definitely have the right settings, I even checked with Virgin but they are not able to assist with my problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem, if so,how did you fix it? If you could explain in simple terms as I'm not tech savvy!
Many thanks!http://www.apple.com/uk/support/iphone/mail/
