  • Iphone not showing up in Iphoto-08

The only problem I am having is when I open up iphoto and plug in my iphone it does not show up. I can not import my images.
Itunes is fine. Dont want to restore my phone, and I can email the images but thats not what I use to be able to do. Just happened never had a problem before

You can either try to use Image Capture which is an application that comes with every Mac (it captures photos from any camera to a folder), or you can install the PhotoToMac app on your iPhone.
I finally went for the PhotoToMac app after running into the same issue multiple times. I never had any problems with PhotoToMac and it transfers the photos over WiFi so I no longer need to connect my iPhone to my Mac to transfer photos.

  • How come my pictures from iphone not showing up in iphoto stream

I am not seeing my photos in my photostream on my iphoto despite the fact that I have my iphone set up to send to my imac.

On the mac have you turned on icloud and checked Photos (in System preferences>icloud)?  Also (this is in Mavericks, don't recall the interface in Mt. Lion), next the the Photos option in icloud, click the Options button and be sure photo stream is also checked.  I assume you've turned on photo stream in iPhoto on the mac as well.

Someone actually responded to me in another thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16418849#16418849
Told me to try unchecking the box to sync Photos.
    Do a sync.
    Then check the box.
    And sync again.
Going to try that now. Let me know if it works for you James

It will show up, when connected directly by USB as a camera.

  • Camera roll on iphone not showing on iphoto

I plugged my iPhone 4 into my MacBook Pro and the camera roll is not showing up on iPhoto or Lightroom 5...
Please HELP!  My husband and I only had our iPhones during a few days in California while on the Channel Islands and want to print some of the photos!
    Thanks!

    OR, Try this:
    1. Open Image Capture.
    2. Do a CMD+B to Browse Devices.
    3. Uncheck the Connected box for "John's or whatever iPhone" and then recheck the box whose name changes to "Still Digital Camera."

  • Photo stream not showing up in iphoto

Upgraded iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and enabled photo stream and upgraded iPhoto on my MacBook Pro and enabled photo stream on it as well but new pics taken on iPhone are not showing up in iPhoto. Any ideas?

I am having exactly the same issue so would be very keen to find out how to fix it.

  • IPhone now showing up in iPhoto

My iPhone shows up just fine in iTunes.  I'm able to sync, no issues.  However when I want to import photos, and more importantly videos, into iPhoto, my iPhone is no where to be found.  I also recall it showing up in Finder before and it no longer does.  Here is what I've done so far:
    unplugged, replugged (no change)
    plugged, restarted iPhone (no change)
unplugged, restarted iPhone, plugged in (no change)
iPhone plugged in, restarted macbook pro (no change)
iPhone unplugged, restarted macbook pro, plugged in (no change)
I  have also done all the above steps with launch iPhoto when your camera is pluged in selected and not selected
Reset iPhone completely, repeated all above steps (no change)
    at behest of Apple Support:
    Reset SMC (no change)
    Reset PRAM (no change)
The same issues with image capture.  iPhone not showing up at all
I have no clue what to do.  it works fine on my iMac, just not my Macbook Pro.  Any advice out there?  Did I miss something?

  • After migrating data from Time Machine, some of my photos are not showing up in iPhoto. I get a 'dashed rectangle." When I click on it I get ' ! in a Triangle" When I click on that, I actually can see the photo. I want to see my photos

After migrating data from Time Machine, some of my photos are not showing up in iPhoto LIbrary view. I get a 'dashed rectangle." When I click on it I get ' ! in a Triangle" When I click on that, I actually can see the photo. I want to see all  my photos in 'Library' view, and I can't figure out how these photos seem to be arbitrarily hidden. Help, please.

Try these for the first attempt:
First be sure to have a backup copy of the library if you already don't have one.

  • Photo edits not showing up in iPhoto when using PSE

I have recently purchased Photoshop Elements 13 and have set iPhoto to use it as my editor. That is working, however, when I save the file, the new file does not show up in iPhoto. It does, however, show up in Organizer. Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks Larry, I don't doubt that I'm not doing it correctly, but I don't know what I am doing wrong.  I have selected PSE to be my external editor in the iPhoto preferences and when I select a photo in iPhoto to edit, it comes up in PSE. I edit the photo and select save (or click on the X in the top right corner of the image, I have tried both and gotten the same results both ways. I get a dialog box that indicates PSE is going to save the file in psd format. I have let it do that and I have also changed to JPG, neither has made any difference. I have also gone in and changed the preferences in PSE to replace the original file on the advice of help at Elements Village. It didn't change the file in iPhoto before that change and it hasn't changed it after that change either.
The file I originally was working with was in RAW format, and I read in another thread that there was no way for PSE to save the edited RAW file back into iPhoto directly, that it would need to be saved somewhere else, such as to the desktop, and then imported back into iPhoto. So, I edited a jpg file and saved it and that edited file did not show up in iPhoto either. From reading other threads, it seems to work for other people, but I don't know what I and doing wrong or what else to try. I have spent a ton of time trying to get this to work because I don't care for the PS Organizer and would prefer to use iPhoto to organize my photos and PSE and ACR to edit them, but so far I am not having any luck with it other than saving the edited file somewhere else and then importing it again into iPhoto, which is a pretty clunky way to have to do it.

  • Edited images not showing up in iphoto

when I edit images in photoshop elements and save them they do not show up in iphoto. I am saving them as tiffs.

I am saving them as tiffs.
    But what were they?
If there is a format change - from jpeg to tiff, from Raw to something else - then you need to save the files to the desktop first and then import them as new files.

  • TS3989 my photos that i took on my ipad are not showing up in iphoto or aperture

I have photos that I took on my Ipad that are in photos. They are not showing up in Iphoto or aperure on my Mac? All software is up to date, photostream turned on on mac and ipad....is there something else I need to do?

OK, you'll have to upgrade to iPhoto '11, available in the Mac App Store, in order to get photo stream and shared photo stream on your Mac.  After doing so, you'll be able to go to System Preferences>iCloud and check Photo Stream.  Then your photo stream photos will appear in iPhoto on your Mac.
As mentioned earlier, photos added to photo stream more than 30 days ago can be added to a shared photo stream (as discussed here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), then invite yourself as a subscriber and they will appear in iPhoto as well.
Be sure to check Automatic Import in iPhoto>Preferences>Photo Stream if you want your photo stream photos to automatically be added to your iPhoto library as well.
