IPhone Not Syncing to iTunes, despite re-install

Hi,
I was having problems with iTunes on a Mac recognising iPhone, iPad, etc.  Had tried all suggested fixes and eventually re-installed iTiunes (and removed various pref files, which solved the problem.  HOWEVER, a day later the problem has returned.
Does anyone have any tips what is causing this and how to fix it.  Separately, my girlfriends Windows PC is not recognising her iPod either.  I thought it was just my machine playing up.
Thks

+My C:Drive got full so I moved my My Music Folder to a e:Drive, removed iTunes and re-installed on my e:Drive.+
This is the wrong way to move your itunes folder - itunes was told everything was on C: and now that it's gone to E:, it can't find it.
Can you move everything back to C? That is probably the easiest way to do this.

  • Bought alot of games via iphone, not synced to itunes and mobile crashes*

    Hi!
i Bought alot of games via iphone, wich i have not synced to itunes and my phone crasched! I restored it but now i dont have any apps/games. What do i do? Doesnt itunes save a list of apps that i have bought?

Your list of purchases is available if you log into your account in iTunes on your computer. You can also re-download apps for free (though you will have to find them yourself in the app store, iTunes won't find them for you) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

  • IPhone not syncing to iTunes

    Hello....Please help!
I have my iTunes set up on my work computer. My C:Drive got full so I moved my My Music Folder to a e:Drive, removed iTunes and re-installed on my e:Drive.
I've lost a great deal of music now in my iTunes library. My iPhone has many more songs than what's currently in my iTunes. My iPhone won't sync now because if I do, I will lose all the songs on my iPhone and the lesser amount of songs from my iTunes will be transferred to my iPhone. It says my iPhone is linked to another library but I can't find that old library.
Aside from just biting the bullet and losing what I've uploaded and bought from iTunes, is there anything I can do? At this point all I can see to do is to sync the phone, lose a bunch of stuff and buy it again, and rip the songs again from CDs.
I've been dealing with this for about 4 hours now. PLEASE HELP!
    Thanks.

  • IPhone not syncing with iTunes when plugged in

For the iTunes Wi-Fi Sync, the iPhone is supposed to automatically sync with iTunes over Wi-Fi when plugged into a power source. This is not working for me. The iTunes is connected to my phone over Wi-Fi, and the Settings are all approiate. However, the iPhone will not sync automatically; I need to manually start the sync from either iTunes or my iPhone. It's not working automatically. Does anyone know of a fix? I have a black iPhone 4S 16GB on Verizon.

In iTunes,go to Help > Diagnostics.
    Run tests
If the issue is device not found go to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363?viewlocale=en_US
I ran through process to update drivers now phone is charging and recognised by my computer.
Also if need be go to http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567

  • Iphone not syncing w/itunes

got an iphone 4 with ios 6.. got a macbook 2010 running ML.. got most updated itunes..
i cant get my phone to sync wirelessly when i plug it into the charger cord.. both are on the same wifi .. i am pretty sure my settings are correct.. but i am not sure

Open iTunes and connect your iPhone using the standard USB connector.
When your iPhone appears in the side bar and starts to sync, click it to bring up the summary page.
The fourth option box should be called ‘Options’, scroll down the page if you can’t see it straight away.
The second check box is marked ‘Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi’,
Make sure the box is checked, click ‘Apply’ and disconnect your iPhone.
For wireless sync to work your iPhone needs to be plugged into a power source, so do that now.  You should notice the iPhone instantly connect with iTunes and start syncing, a process identified by the spinning circle in the status bar.
If you check back to iTunes, you’ll see that your iPhone still appears as if connected, even though it’s physically not.
If you check the ‘Manually Manage Music and Videos’ box, then items can be dragged and synced to your phone wirelessly too.
If you want to manually start an iTunes sync from your phone, open ‘Settings’, then chose ‘General’ and finally, ‘iTunes Wi-Fi Sync’.
Tap ‘Sync Now’ to start and observe the status bar to see what is being transferred between your computer and your iPhone.
Syncing works in the background so you can carry on working, emailing and taking/making calls.

  • IPhone not syncing to iTunes music, But iPad OK... Restore?

I updated to IOS7 on both my iPhone 4s and iPad 2. But when I go to sync music on my desktop through iTunes I get stuck in the final step of transferring for my iPhone but not the iPad. Is there anyway to go about fixing this without restoring my phone? I realize this is probably an issue with the software (bug) because of the update but was wondering if there is anyway to go around fixing this without wiping my phone clean.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Are you working with iTunes for Windows or Mac?
One thing to try is to change your iTunes setting to manually sync.
Then remove the music (if any)  from the device and choose just what you want to put back on the iPhone.
If that doesn't work, you may need to restore from the backup you hopefully did before updating.

  • How can I delete a podcast thats only on my iPhone, not synced from iTunes.

I have two podcast episodes that will not delete from my iPhone. They are from a show that I update (by syncing) everyday and appear on the iPhone (since October) but will not erase or appear on iTunes. Can I delete them straight from the iPhone or do I need to connect it with iTunes to delete? It is more of a nuisance than anything else. Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can delete from iphone:
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPhone_iOS4_UserGuide.pdf
It is covered in the manual.
    Page 172:
"Delete a podcast: In the Podcasts list in iPod, swipe left or right over the podcast, then
    tap Delete. "

  • IPhone not syncing with iTunes

I check all the correct boxes in itunes on my lap top when my iPhone is connected, the capacity bar shows the extent of the data to be synced including about 20G's of audio, but when the sync is completed the capacity bar in iTunes shows no memory used for audio and there is no music on my iPhone. I've rebooted both my laptop and iPhone yet I keep getting the same results.

I have the 2003 17" iMac (flat panel on a moveable chrome arm, round base; aka "iLamp"). I sync my iPhone to it on a regular basis. USB1.1 is a lot slower than USB2 but, in general, it works.
I have run into some quirks that seem to be USB-related. For some reason, when the Keyboard/Mouse and iPhone are each connected directly to the back of the iMac, the iMac thinks the iPhone is connected through the Keyboard. I solved this by moving the Keyboard/Mouse to a USB hub (at <$20, much cheaper than a new Mac). iTunes does not like to (a) auto-sync when the iPhone is docked and further (b) be open before the iPhone is docked. I've turned off auto-sync in the iPhone's Summary tab in iTunes and always dock the iPhone before launching iTunes. If I have pictures on the iPhone that have not been synced to iPhoto yet, iPhoto will launch when the iPhone is docked. Sometimes, iTunes won't find the iPhone or will error out when there are un-synchronized photos.
Overall, I'm satisfied with using the iLamp and an iPhone. Enough so that it is tiding me over until I decide when to buy a new MBP or MB.

  • Apps updated on iPhone not synced to iTunes 11

I have started having this issue at some point since I upgraded to iTunes 11. The apps I update or download on my iPhone 4S do not get synced back to iTunes 11 while syncing my iphone.

    Morning Visceral,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • My phone will not sync in iTunes since I installed ios5.

I keep trying to sync and it says "waiting to sync" and then I get a message that says my phone could not be synced because the sync session failed to start.

    Hi Byron,
I was having the same problem, few days back. I rebooted my device, but it did not work. Then I uninstalled the iTunes. Upon again installing the same iTunes, it started to sync. But today again I am facing the same issue. What do u suggest?

  • Iphone not syncing to itunes unknown error -50

My iPhone 4S isn't sycing to iTunes, I get the "Uknown Error (-50)" ...it won't let me update my iPhone either...help anyone?!

    Error 13, 14, 35 and 50 (or -50)
These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting.
Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts.
There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. An incorrectly set default packet size can cause this error. Contact the software manufacturer that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows:How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network

  • App purchased on iPhone not syncing with iTunes on mac

I recently purchased an app on my iPhone and wanted to use home sharing to allow my daughters to play too but couldn't do that from the app store without buying it again. I thought if I synced with my computer it might work but this app won't sync either. It works on my phone. It shows up in the image but isn't listed under "apps". How to I fix it? (The app in question is Dwelp as shown in the image below.)

You should be able to copy from your phone to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option.
(The listbox on the left-hand side of the screenshot that you've included lists the apps that are in the Apps part of your computer's iTunes library, and it allows you to select which apps that you want on your phone from that list - when you've done the Transfer Purchases that app should then be in the Apps part of your library and therefore show in that listbox.)

  • New ipad will not sync with itunes, despite having sufficient capacity

Trying to sync our brand new iPad 3 with our Mac's iTunes.  iTunes keeps giving me blurb:
"The iPad cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items."
HOWEVER, the rainbow capacity bar at the bottom of iTunes shows that we are attempting to sync 27.95 GB worth of stuff, leaving 17.6 GB of free space.
That doesn't look "full" to me....!
    What now?

    I have the same problem!
My PC crashed and I had to upgrade my motherboard. Music and photos are still intact as they were stored on a separte hard drive (but had to re-do some playlists!). The apps were affected so I had to download purchased apps again from iTunes, not much of a problem there.
Now that I've tried syncing the iPad to my PC, I got the same error as Tiki's that "The iPad cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the selected items."
    What to do????

  • Why does my iphone not sync with itunes

Having problems with my iphone 4s, it won't download any of my music from my laptop itunes account.
Initially it downloaded all the album cover artwork and track listings but when I selected a track to play it wouldnt play it.
Since then I've done a factory reset but now it's even worse and won't even show the album artwork or track listings.
If anyone has any advice I'd be very grateful.

are you on a mac? if so go to the top and click on store, make sure you "authorize the computer" so it will work with your Apple ID iDevices, if youre on a pc, this should be under file or one of the options there, hope this helps!
