  • So, I bought some songs on Itunes on my Iphone. One song fully downloaded and now shows up in my music, but the other one will consistently appear to finish downloading, then not show up in my Music at all. I've tried several times. Help!!!

I've been trying to download this song for two days. ITunes says that it downloaded, and that I purchased it, but it will NOT appear in my music. The weird thing is that I bought two songs simultaneously and the first one successfully appeared and I can listen to it. Totally fine. However, the second one will finish downloading, then disappear. I bought the same song two more times off of different albums just to make sure there wasn't a problem there. Nope. Everything with that song title will not show up. Rhapsody in Blue, by the way. I also bought it on my iPod touch just to make sure there, and it successfully downloaded and I can listen to it on my iPod without a problem. Again, it just won't go on my IPHONE. It's frustrating. Any advice or help?!

  • Apps purchased on iphone not transferring

Please bear with me on this one as it's not quite as simple as the subject title suggests...
My wife and I share one computer (a Macbook running 10.5.8) using 2 separate user accounts.
We have different iTunes accounts but share a library. The iTunes media folder is in users/shared but our libraries are separate and in our own home/music/iTunes folders. We both have write access to the shared media folder. We're using iTunes 10.
We both have iPhones. I've had mine for a while but my wife has only just got hers. It was the wife's acquisition of an iPhone that triggered the re-arrangement of iTunes to what's described above (she never previously used to really use it). In creating her library, all of the apps I've purchased over the last 2 years or so have appeared in her iTunes apps section.
The problem is this - when she buys an app in iTunes (on the laptop) it doesn't download properly to the mobile applications folder and doesn't add to her library. However, it shows up in the downloads folder as a "classic" download application (rather than the .ipa program) which will then not open as classic mode isn't supported. iTunes doesn't seem to recognise that it's been downloaded as it will let us download it over and over again with the same results.
If she buys the same app from her phone, it appears on the phone and when syncing says that it's transferring across but again, never appears in the library and I've not been able to locate it in Finder.
My purchases appear in the mobile applications folder and work normally.
What the **** is going on and how can I fix it?!
    Thanks

iOS applications can't be run on a computer. Having purchased an iOS application also won't get you a discount at the Mac App Store; the reverse is also true in both cases.

  • ITunes/iPhone not removing songs

    I'm using iTunes 11.1.5 and iOS 7.1.
My iTunes folder is stored on an external harddrive, along with my iPhoto library. When I attempt to remove music from my phone (iTunes is set to sync only checked songs), the music is not removed. I tried restoring my iPhone to factory settings and adding the music again. That worked to remove ALL the music, clearly. But now I'm back to square one. When I want to remove an album, the box is unchecked in iTunes, but the music is still on my phone.
I've also had problems with sync getting stuck on "importing photos."
    Anyone else having this issue?

If you are referring to the "Complete My Album" feature, that indeed only applies to tracks from that particular album. The same tracks purchased as a single or as part of some other album, even though the tracks may be identical, will not be credited.
    Regards.

  • ITunes is not transferring songs to iPod

Very frustrated...MacBook, iTunes, and iPod are up to date. I imported a CD onto my iTunes library. With my iPod plugged in, the songs will not transfer to the iPod. I can drag the album over and also go the 'add to' route, but either way the transfer never actually happens. This is the first CD import I've done since both devices were updated. Any suggestions?

  • Updated apps on iPhone not transferring back to iTunes

Has anyone noticed since updating to iTunes 11 (11.0.1) that apps that have been updated on a device do not transfer the update back to the itunes library? I will update apps on my iphone or ipad, then sync (either through wifi or connected), but the apps don't sync back. iTunes still lists them as having updates available. This has been the case on all my family's devices. All OSs are current. Three different iTunes libraries on two different computers, so I know it isn't a corrupt library.
HOWEVER, if I switch the devices to back up to the computer, as opposed to iCloud, then the apps transfer from the device to the iTunes library. I've typically had all the devices back up to iCloud. Prior to iTunes 11, this setting still allowed updated apps to transfer back to iTunes.
Seems like a bug with iTunes 11, unless someone has some insight as to why this would be intentional.

Yes it is different or a bug compared with earkier itunes versions.
There are two ways to reolve this
    1) With device conneted and selected click File > Devices > Transfer Purchase from device.
2 ) Update apps on itunes as well as device manually. Go to Apps page and click check for updates

  • Not all songs downloaded - help!

I recently upgraded from a 2Gb nano to a 8Gb (red) nano. Everything works fine except not all songs have downloaded. I have tried some of the bewildering suggestions but still have the problem. I have the latest version of itunes loaded. Anyone able to help

I have solved the problem myself!
The songs were all downloaded but did not show up. The reason was that if there are a few songs by the same artist and the details of album are only entered for some of the songs the others do not appear under that artists name. If you look under 'Songs' all songs are there. Strange but true!!

  • I've been using Ringtone Maker to add ringtones to my iPhone. The app is now telling me my music I bought from the iTunes store is not exportable. I downloaded a new app called Ringer and it says my song "has no audio tracks". What am I doing wrong?

never mind.  i think it just makes you review the information -- it looks like you have to click through everything.

Set it up using the AppleID you used on the previous iPhone.

  • My recently transferred songs are not playing in my Iphone.

My recently transferred songs are not playing in my Iphone. Even though the files appear to be there, I simply cannot access them. A small circle with a dot appear on the side of each file. What is happening?

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music.

Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

  • I have transferred songs from my mac to iphone the songs are showing on iophone but in light type ans will not play

I have transferred songs from itunes to my iphone but they are greyed out and will not play

It means that the content didn't fully transfer. I would attempt to transfer it again.

  • When I create a playlist and sync it to my iPhone not all of the playlist transfers over.  All of the songs are there and are playable they just do not show up on the playlist.

When I create a playlist and sync it to my iPhone not all of the songs on the playlist transfer over.  All of the songs are there and are playable they just do not show up on the playlist.  For example, in itunes on my computer a playlist has over 100 songs, but when I sync my phone, my iphone only shows 60 songs.  I can go into my phone and add the missing songs to the playlist, but the next time I sync my phone the songs are gone again.

Wondering if you haven't been bitten by the new "feature" of iOS 5, as was my son. turingtest2 explained it very well in reply to my own query about "missing" songs in playlists.

  • I have "Explicit" song tags in iTunes, but they (the tags, not the songs) are not showing up on my iPhone.

    Hi,
I recently found a way to add the "EXPLICIT" tag to songs in my iTunes Library (using Subler), and just presumed that the tags were not showing up in my iPhone Music because the phone simply did not have the function to display them.
However, after updating to iOS 7, and seeing every song I have ever purchased, I noticed that the iPhone can indeed show whether songs are explicit or not (by marking them with a letter 'E').
Therefore I am just wondering why I can see whether songs are explicit on my Mac, yet not on my iPhone. I have tried removing the songs from my iTunes Library, syncing to remove them from my phone, re-adding them to my Library, and then re-syncing to put them back onto my phone, and the explicit tag still does not show up.
Please can you help me resolve this.
    Thanks

If you are syncing your contacts from your PC with iCloud, they are not transferred to your phone using iTunes.  They are synced to your phone using iCloud, either over wifi or your cellular data network.
First go to icloud.com with your computer browser, sign into your account and open Contacts there to confirm that your contacts appear.  If they do, go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, sign into your account and turn Contact on.  Assuming your phone is either connected to wifi or your cellular data network, the contacts should then download from iCloud to your phone.

  • Why can't i add playlists to my iPhone from my mac while they are connected? I keep getting the following message "some items (meaning all of them) were not transferred because iTunes match is enabled." This is incredibly frustrating.

I keep getting the following message "some items (meaning all of them) were not transferred because iTunes match is enabled." when I try to drag and drop a playlist, song, or album to my iPhone. This was NEVER a problem before iTunes match or the last iOS update. So what is the deal? Why can't i just add music to my phone from the mac? There is space on the phone. The only way I have found to get the music i want to the phone is to have it download from the phone. This is not something i want to have to do: go through and manually add every album and recreate a playlist on the phone when its there on the mac. And, even more irritating, since the new update, when the phone is plugged into the mac i can't actually view from the mac what music is on the phone. This is incredibly frustrating and any help would be much appreciated in managing my music libraries for each device.

    Hi,
You cannot manually manage music with match turned on on your iOS device. If you want to manage music manually, you will need to turn off match on your iPhone.
