First, try to reset by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
If this does not help, connect in recovery mode and restore, explained in this article: iOS: Unable to update or restore

Installed a new Windows PC on my home network. PC is Windows 8/64bit. with latest version of itunes 11.1.4.62 for 64bit. My itunes works, but I can not get Home Sharing to function now. None of my Apple TV's can see my computer library and prompt me to turn it on. All of my iphones, pods, pad, can not use the "Remote" app. When you prompt your phone in Remote App to "add library" and you get the code....iTunes doesnt give you the remote screen where you can enter the code. I have reloaded iTunes, reset my router, updated all devices. You can turn on "Home Sharing" on iTunes, but then it closes and doesnt seem to link my devices like it use to. Also, when the new version of iTunes is up on my PC, you can see the other devices to AirPlay to like you could before. However, I can send items from my iphone to stream to an Apple TV, I just cant link them all like I could before and control the music playing to multiple Apple TV. Growing fustrated. Any ideas, would be helpful.

You are a legend!! I have spent countless hours uninstalling, reinstalling itunes, playing with firewall settings, reading articles on this problem!! I only have to un-sync my iphone 5 and then the airplay icon magically appeared!!! Maybe I have too many devices syncing via wi-fi, or maybe it is the Iphone syncing??
Whatever - one step and now I can enjoy my music through my house again!

FaceTime: I have a iPad, iPhone, iMac all on the same apple Id/account. Without changing id/email address can I use FaceTime between any 2 of my devices? It works from iPad to iPhone but not the other way??? I would like talk/see my kids if am away.

using an ipad will use the email address since you can't make a phone call. see the link.

I have an iphone 4s unlocked with att prepaid plan (non-contract), everything was working perfect BUT since i update to IOS6 i can not send MMS to anybody has Android, i went to att technical center they said only apple store can fix the problem, i went to Apple store MANY times they could not fix it, so they gave me a new iphone 4s and they said they fixed it but they did not,iam so mad that's not fair, can somebody help me please.
The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it. So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair. I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got. I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully. What do I get in return? Nothing. Not a damned thing!! You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!! Not only will I be replacing this phone with a competitive product but I won't be buying anymore Apple crap. I guess when you con 27 million people into believing your rhetoric and sales lies, you don't have to care whether some customers get screwed or not. I'll be going back to Verizon and threatening legal action if they don't take this electronic dung heap back but I'm sure the teams of lawyers Apple and Verizon have on staff have insured that I have no rights in this matter and you're free to screw me anytime you please. Sad. I used to love Apple as a company and your products. Now you're just another Microsoft with more trendy looking junk. I've had it with you. When click the email icon on my iphone, it opens on one email only. I can not go to the next or previous email, a different email or anything. It only gives me the option to move that email! How can I stop this. Its been working perfectly well before!
Now as you may know there is some icons at the bottom of the mail app, at the top left conner you should have the inbox button and on the upper right conner you should have two arrows to shift between emails. If any of those options works try :
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings
If that does not work try to re add the account
Last but not least, restore as new.

I can preview email when it arrives (I chose 5 lines) but when I then go to open up the full email, I see only the header info (To, Subject & Date); nothing in the body...it is blank. This only started recently as before, it worked as expected. Help?
I have two yahoo accounts and I know as they 'improved' their servers I had periodic outages. It'd work fine on my webmail on my computer, webmail on the iPad, but not via the mail app. And it was stuff on their end. It may be a case of wait and see and you may need to eventually remove/readd the account on your iPhone.
When the issue is on their end, unfortunately there's not much for users to do beyond wait it out or find work arounds. -
My 1 year and 1 month old iPhone 4s developed a WiiFi fault which it was not possible to resolve. I visited the Apple store in Brighton for the assistance of a Genius. He too was unable to resolve the fault. He said that as the phone was over a year old that there was nothing that he could do for me as the phone carries a 1 year warranty. He offered to sell me a reconditioned iPhone 4s as a replacement. This cost me a further £150.00. I was/am still paying for the phone through my contract, the phone that I no longer have!
A work collegue had a similar fault with his iPhone, although his phone was older by approx 6 to 10 months. He did what I did and visited the local Apple store to see a Genius and was straight away offered a brand new replacement phone for no additional payment.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and does anyone have any advice? I am furious about this double standard of customer support! And I can not find a way to email to Apple directly for customer service advice!Thank you for your advice. If I lived closer to the store I would do just that. By using the forum it was not my intention to breach any TOS.
I speak to collegues and people advise me to email to Apple. They say that Apple always looks after its customers. I only wish to find a way to email to Apple to see if there is anything that they can do for me. I suspect not.

I have like 4-5 teeny tiny dots in the screen of my iphone i don't know what they are from. I can only see some of them when I tilt my phone a certain way. And they are little bitty but I am wondering what they are from

The iPhoto Window reports the size of the library that would result if you exported all the current versions +and nothing else+ to a folder on the desktop.
The iPhoto Library Folder contains the Original, Modified and thumbnail versions of your pics. It also contains various cache and database files +all of which are necessary+ for the working of the Library.
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
You can run a Library on an external disk:
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

I sent my iPhone to Apple for repair. Before I sent it I did a backup (on the 7th of August). Today I got it back, but my iTunes only shows me a backup from 21st july and from today. How can I access my backup from 7th of august?
You should really read the manual.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -
The screen on my iPhone has gone black while I was using it. It just "shut off". The phone is still working as I can hear/see it when it plugs into the computer, but the screen just wont turn on. I've tried the soft reset "holding down home and lock screen" and i've tried to restore settings. I went to the apple store and they said I had to send it to my provider (in another country) but my phone contract has run out.
Is there a way to fix this?
If not, is there some way apple can replace the phone? It's less than 2 years old. Surely the screen shouldn't just give out like that.

thanks!The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

I was having trouble with my eamil. Just receiving it on my computer. I could see it and get it on my iphone fine. Then I could not see that people had sent me attachments. It was noted in the email but no sign on the letter that one was attached. So looking in the help section I was told to rebuild. Now I can't get any email at all. The email still works on my iPhone. I know I have done something stupid but I don't know how to fix it. Needless to say I am not computer savy at all.
There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery. -
We have 6 ipods and 1 iphone in our house. We have different itunes accounts. We use one computer. How can we share each others music? I moved everybodies itunes media folder to the public music folder but when I open itunes I only see that accounts music. We need different itunes accounts. We share 1 computer but we have different user accounts on the computer.
Adding media directly to the media folder does not make it appear in the library. iTunes doesn't really 'look' at that folder except to go to specific files when you call upon them from a library. You have to drag new content to each user's library, that is assuming each user has their own library.

Since installing Ios7 280 music tunes out of a total of 360 will now only play when I'm within range of WiFi. The remainder now appear with the stupid Icloud logo beside them. How can I get them back on my Iphone 4s and scrap this stupid icloud that I did not want or ask for in the first place. Why can't rotten apple ask if you want the dam icloud rather than just stealing everything without permission and then you can only have access to it through wifi.

What I've did is I turned off iTunes Match on my iPhone, then turned in on again. Now in my iTunes library on my mac I can get the duplicates to be matched or uploaded to iCloud with a right-click, add to iCloud. iTunes Match starts to check the songs and everything is done correctly. Pretty nice!
