IPhone on order at AT&T - what if it comes in damaged?
I have an iPhone on order at my local AT&T store. What do I do if, when I go to pick it up, I find that it has problems (light leaking, loose buttons, zits on back, other stuff that I can determine while at the store)? Can I tell them I want the next one that comes in, or do I have to order a new one and wait another 10-20+ days for another one? I realize I can take it to Apple and get a new one, but I was just wondering if anyone had run into a similar situation at an AT&T store?

Isn't this entire thread somewhat premature? How many people out of the million plus iPhone's sold have actually had a phone that was DOA? Since they have to activate it in store, you will see if it works or not.
I think people get hyped up reading this trouble-shooting forum, and start worrying about things that their own phones won't have a problem with. This is a problem forum, short and simple. The million plus satisfied users don't even know this forum exists.
I would say to the OP -- hope you enjoy your iPhone when it arrives and don't worry so much about it. Chances you are going to have problems are less than a couple thousand in a million.

I setup my iCloud account on my iPhone 5 with the wrong e mail address, and I don't remmber the password, I reset my tel and erase all the information on my iPhone in order to try to set up a new iCloud account but when I restart I have a problem agaIn , they ask me to put again the old iCloud user account and password, what I can do in order to start the phone when I don't have the correct e mail and I don't remmber the passcode.?
I have the same problem as the emails go to my iCloud account that I cannot access!!! I cannot answer the security questions as someone else must have set up my iCloud account. Nothing seems to work. It would be great if someone has some ideas as what can be done to recover the situation?

After installing the latest itunes/quicktime update I can no longer acces the itunes store nad my iphone does not complete syncing. What can I do to fix this? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows updates. I have checked the firewall settings. what else?
The problem is with version 10.4.1. I had to reload 10.3 to get it to work. The recommendation from a previous poster worked for me. Here was their list of steps:
Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall
2. Uninstall the following Apple programs in the following order:
a. iTunes
b. QuickTime
c. Apple Software Update
d. Apple Mobile Devices Support
e. Bonjour
f. Apple Appllcation Support
3. Reboot PC
4. Find, Download and Install iTunes 10.3 (you can find it at FileHippo.com)
If you start iTunes now you will get an error message saying that the current iTunes library was created by a newer version of iTunes. To correct this:
5. Go to your Music>iTunes folder and delete the "iTunes Library.itl" database file
6. Within this iTunes folder find and open the "Previous iTunes Libraries" folder and locate the most recently dated "iTunes Library (date).itl" database file.
7. Copy and Paste this file back into the iTunes folder
8. Rename this "iTunes Library (date).itl" file by removing the date. It should say "iTunes Library.itl"
9. Reboot PC -

I'm sure you can, you would just have to call them up and tell them that you want the 32GB instead. If you ordered it and wanted to change on the same day, i'm sure you would have the same ship date but if you changed it the day after, it might as well change. who knows. Give them a call and see what they say.

Company said they ordered by iPhone 5 on 12/28/12 and should expect it by 1/2/13. On 1/2/13 my IT person said the Verizon Rep told her my order was placed on back order. Anyone know what is going on? On the website chat, they said there was plenty iPhones in stock. Anyone with any insight would be appreciated.

Put the device down occasionally.
Cut back on game playing.
Kill any apps running in the background.
Basic troubleshooting from the Users Guide is reset, restart, restore. Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved. -

You did not ruin the phone, you will need a sim card to activate the phone and then connect the phone to itunes and do a restore from back up.

There is no password to Thunderbird. The password you need is to the email account. Contact the email provider for password reset.

If you know the password to your apple id login - you can then do a restoration once you have put your device into recovery mode using itunes.
read this article to give you direction how to put your device into recovery mode.
Once you have put in your apple id login and password this then will allow you to restore the device once the device is placed in recovery mode.

Changing your Apple ID to your current, working email address will not create another Apple ID, it will only change it to your working email address.
